“I was on lunch break was told food would be done in 10 minutes. waited 30. got back to work very late. To top it off the food was disgusting. I'm not sure if there was even a burger patty provided. what was om the sandwich was an over abundance of mayo and mustard like I guess I ordered a mustard and mayo sandwich. It was messy made the bun soggy and just all around gross. I was going to bring all my kidd back to eat and will NEVER EAR HERE AGAIN. A REFUND IS WANTED. 27 DOLLARS FOR 2 BURGERS 2 DRINKS AND 1 FRY AND THE PLAIN CHEESEBURGWR HAD ONIONS ON IT WASNT SUPPOSE TO. NEEDLESS TI SAY NO ONE ATE THEIR MEAL WE ORDERED ELSE WHERE AND I SUGGEST SKIPPING PAST THIS PLACE. NOT WORTH THE TIME IR MONEY WASTED.“

“The food is absolutely delicious! The burgers are huge and delicious, and quite well cooked. The barbecue sauce was tangy and delicious with the Gateway Burger. I was looking forward to trying the onion rings, but ended up not having room after the burger!
Some reviews have mentioned the service - the servers are not overenthusiastic in their greetings as other restaurants, but the service is damn good. They have a very subtle style of attentiveness, not always asking if you need something but noticing when you do, keeping an eye on you. They check in at the exact points - when the food hits the table, after two bites, and when your plate is just about done. There were two servers today and they were both multitasking and on top of all their tables, and their demeanor just happens to be more casual comfort. Definitely wouldn’t dock them any service points. If you do tend to prefer more enthusiastic service, it might not be the best match, but theirs is still a service style that will get you what you need.
I’m not currently living in STL, but will definitely be returning next time I’m in the city!“

“I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. The menu includes healthy,creative, delicious entrees, and as well as gluten free options.“

“This place is so, so cool. My cousin took me out for dinner and I had never even heard of this spot. Wow, it’s such a beautiful and moody spot full of charm!! We had to wait 15 minutes for a booth but I didn’t mind because this place serves LOOKS. The decor was awesome! Everything from the stellar service, crispy and lacey smash burgers and gorgeous dining room(s) made me realize why this spot is always recommended to me. We were very happy with our food and it was under $50 for two people! Check out Golden Hoosier, you won’t regret it.“

“Stopped by today 1st time. Staff very hospitable. Ordered the mac and cheese dog. it was just ok. The only thing really good on it was the bacon. Mac and cheese tasted and looked like it came from a box. The pretzel bun was dried out in spots. wasnt impressed at all for a 12 plus dollar hot dog. Been better off going to QT and getting one of their dogs.“

“Have been going here since I was a kid and to me this place will always be the best burger joint in town. Bacon chuck with cheese a curly fry and some cheddar cheese balls with a cherry coke , can't get any better just wish we could go back inside and sit down and eat because the atmosphere was the best!!!!!!! “Hands down best food we had on our entire vacation! Fall-off-the-bone BBQ chicken, best friend catfish I think I've ever had, and OMG you have to try the baked beans!!!!! Fabulous, welcoming, friendly staff and environment. Highly recommend, and will definitely be stopping by every time we pass through St. Louis (we're from Texas, but travel a few times a year).“

“We ordered the sweet and spicy wings, pretzel, Cajun chicken pasta, and the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was okay. It’s something to come to chill, eat, and catch up with a friend. Nothing really stood out as super delicious. I might come back to try their burgers. The wing sauce was good, but the chicken itself was a bit overcooked. The pasta was really saucy (which was a bonus), but it lacked flavor. The pretzel was actually good! Super soft and I like that it had 2 sauces. The wrap could have been warmed on the outside and a better proportion of ingredients on the inside. Our server was nice!“

“First time at Mac’s tonight! We met Mac at the register and he was so kind and gave great suggestions! The food was delicious and while we are sad we didn’t get to try the onion dip (it was sold out!), we’ll definitely be back! The games to play at the table were a huge hit for our son. “Freddy's is our go-to now that Steak and Shake has imploded. I am a veteran so I was really impressed with their veterans day free meal card. I was able to take advantage of the veterans day options and come back to Freddy's later. Burgers are outstanding and I really love the shoestring fries. I didn't have the custard but there was a group of kids that did and they seemed to enjoy it.“

“The lady inside was SO NICE and personable. My fiance had gone in to get our food while I tended to our baby and he ended up getting my sandwich toasted. I can’t eat warm meat so I took it back in myself and explained to her about my issue and she fixed it no problem and didn’t argue at all even tho it was definitely our fault!
She said she has recently become full owner of the shop and she’s doing a fantastic job! Come support this small business!!!“

“Pali grill is my favorite place to eat to lift my spirits. The decor in the restaurant is fun and beautiful, everyone working there is friendly and kind, everything on the menu is delicious (get. the. pali. sauce.). “I've been to the steak 'n shake numerous times and I've always had a pretty good service but the service that I had Thursday was outstanding in the afternoon the guy came to us and asked us of our food was hot enough and if there was enough french fries in the plates I had a bowl of chili with onions and he asked me if it was hot enough and make sure I want to crackers and came back and asked us if we were okay again afterwards just steak n shake does not take your order at the table and he made sure to take care of us I don't know who he was he was an older gentleman kind of balls I think he was the manager but excellent service and yes I will be back again“

“My first time there. we got it to go. It was a little above average, but not what it has been hyped up to be. My burger had hard edges, beyond crispy. Fries were hard and no salt. shake was the best part of the meal. $60 for three meals is way overpriced. And they initially packed the shakes in the sane bag as the hot food! I had them take them out and put into a drink carrier. Who puts cold and hot together? It is adequate, but I will not go back for those prices.“

“On our first trip to STL we wanted to try a Missouri style pizza and this little shop was right down the road from our Vrbo. The lunch specials were a great value. Our family ordered a few different items and we all sampled them. Everything we tried was tasty. Great job!“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

“I wish I could put more stars for the service! There is two other Burger King's closer to where I work than this one, but I prefer to drive a little further for the service and food quality they provide. But today they went above and beyond. Because the other locations are closer it always wants me to do my carryout orders there and I have to change the location. I believe it was a glitch in the app but my order went to the wrong location. It was definitely more my fault than it was that locations fault. She read the order off my phone and they had it made in minutes and I didn't have to drive all the way to the other location to pick up cold food! Much appreciated!
