“I was very apprehensive about trying this place but once I got inside all my worries subsided and I was blown away by the number of drinks they offered and the amount of food they served, the portions are enough for two people to share! The wings are the best I've ever had, the beer is cold and the live music is great. What really makes me happy is the age of the patrons who frequent this establishment, 40-50 years old, not the younger crowd, my wife and I are regulars at the North Oak location“

“The place is awesome. The only downside was that I went there with some friends on Sunday morning to watch the Spanish Clásico — Barcelona vs. Real Madrid — and immediately after the referee blew the final whistle, they switched the channel to an American football game. It felt a bit rude, almost as if they were kicking us out. Everyone wanted to see the post-game highlights and player interviews, and someone even yelled from another table, “No one wants to see the Panthers!” The bar had advertised that they would open early especially for El Clásico, so you would expect a soccer bar to give priority to soccer fans, specially on a specific soccer game they were advertising to host. Other than that, everything was great — the waitress was very kind and the hand-crafted cocktails were awesome.“

“I was lucky enough to host my company Christmas party in the popup holiday bar this year. I CANNOT say enough great things about the venue, food, drinks and staff! Everything was incredible and such a great value! The staff was on point. From the beginning Alexa, the event coordinator, and Adam, the general manager, made the whole process so seamless and amazing. We barely lifted a finger and all of our guests were blown away by how beautiful and fun everything was! We will 100% be having our Christmas party here every year from now on. Thank you Adam and staff for your hospitality! You made the event one to remember!“

“Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here! Went twice during our stay in downtown KC. Food and service were great both times! I cannot rave enough about the N/A options and mocktails. They also have gluten free Mac n cheese pasta which made my day!! Highly recommend the Elote Ribs, Nachos and Current burger!“

“I went recently for some food and drinks and had some of the best service I've had anywhere! Halie was our server and she was extremely kind, informative and energetic. Very helpful with the food options and overall just made the experience great and unforgetable! Can't wait to come back and hopefully get her as my waitress again“
“Rockstar KC is such a fun spot! The food is awesome, their burgers, tacos, and appetizers never disappoint. My teen son is obsessed with the nachos, and he loves that they even have Xboxes to play on! Thursday Ladies Night is always a blast, and the Saturdays I’ve been were just as great. The house DJ, DJ MostWanted, is fantastic, he plays a great variety of music. The bartender and servers have always been so sweet and attentive. The decor and vibe makes you feel like a rockstar! And they have the coolest bathrooms! Definitely one of my new go to places!“

“This is a small, local bar that is playing sports on a few TV's which I guess makes it a sports bar. But give it a chance. The owner was extremely nice and yet was bantering with the locals like a salty sailor. The wings were surprisingly good, their house sauce was spicy and tangy. And the locals were also friendly. This is not a chain place, but if you want a beer and good wings this is the place to go.“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“
