“I had the pleasure of having Emma as my server this evening, and she did an amazing job at taking care of my friends and I. The food was absolutely delicious, the specialty cocktails are really good, and they have a huge selection of wine. Would highly recommend.“
“Lonnie's Reno Club serves up fantastic jazz with great food and a positive vibe. The staff is super friendly, and the food is top-notch. Trust me, you won't find an experience like this anywhere, and Lonnie's talent is unmatched. Definitely worth going – you won't be let down. We have been 4 times and will be back again soon. Every time is such a different experience. I really can't say enough great things about this show, it is my favorite and I have been to a lot of shows :)“
“We stopped in because we saw so many other good reviews. You have two options for ordering. Order at the counter, or scan the QR code and order directly from your table (love that option). We tried two different burgers, the Blueberry Stout burger and the Prohibition Burger. We loved them both but the Prohibition burger edged out the Blueberry stout in our opinion. This burger is messy, but delicious. Covered in swiss cheese, thick cut bacon, arugula, avocado and bourbon carnalized onions. We also loved the fries. You have your choice of dipping sauces. We got honey mustard and drunken ketchup. Both were good. You also have a good choice of local beers and spirits to choose from.I might just vote these as the best burgers in KC. Not a cheap option, but the quality makes it worth it.“
“Very elegant and quiet atmosphere, and it really felt like an upscale dining experience without being stuffy. Service was pretty good, and everything we ate tasted great, although portions are not huge and the price for some items is a bit steep. One person in our group ordered the salmon and was still hungry when she finished, so she ordered some fries (for $9). The caveman chicken and potatoes was delicious, and the cocktails were nice. Although the value for money could be better, this is a solid place to go when you want to feel a little fancy.“
“Food was really good. Service was quirky and attentive. My only complaint about anything was the lighting. They have weird blue lights that (see picture) make it difficult to read the menu and see the food. I had to guess a lot about the flavors. This was on the back patio. I'll be back but I'm bringing my glasses next time.“
“Delicious food, great beers (according to hubs) pretzel twists app, mac n cheese, parmesan truffle fries, everything melt. It was all fantastic. Not too crazy busy on a friday night either! Location is great, lots of walkable places around.“
“We had the best experience at Seasons 52! The food was exceptional, from the apps (stuffed mushrooms & meatballs) / lobster bisque to the steak and lobster that melted in your mouth and finally the mini mousse dessert options. The server was attentive and did a great job with our larger party creating the perfect space for our dinner party! If I lived in KC, I would be back constantly!!“
“SO DELICIOUS, great ambiance, and leave room for dessert! The restaurant has a very modern feel to it with long tables which are great for accommodating larger groups. It was also very easy to walk in with a larger group. However, our group was not super happy with the staff - though helpful they forgot our orders a few times and weren't the most attentive. For the food we started with some appetizers - wings, truffle tuna roll and crab pasta. The crab pasta was definitely a stand out and really loved the sauce (though wish it maybe had a bit more spice). The truffle roll was also so great with the truffle flavor coming out very subtly. For the main, I ordered the Filipino salmon which was cooked to perfection! The sauce was so great and paired very well with the salmon. I also loved the side of Brussels sprouts which were so crispy and great source of veggies with your meal. The star of the show was the brownie in the desserts. It was so perfectly warm and gooey with great flavors coming from the sesame. The crème brûlée was also very very creamy and very fun to watch.“
“We dined here back in July of 2023. Loved the location, atmosphere, and food here. Some creative twists on comfort foods that we really enjoyed. Specifically the fried portobello sandwich was great, with a nice contrast of textures and flavors. Shout out to the fried chicken sandwich which also was well prepared and tasty. We also had the gespacho watermelon/tomato soup which was super refreshing. The drinks were okay but expensiveThe elote tater tots were tasty, but not as reminiscent of the flavoring as we expected. Overall was a positive experience for us when we dined in.“
“Hidden gem at the edge of Lee's Summit. Managers and owners are incredibly nice. The food is stellar. Dan is impressed with what comes out of the kitchen there. Seasonal is very fresh and preferred expertly and very well. Only drawback is Sunday is only brunch until dinner. Food is phenomenal.Dietary restrictions: They are crazy accommodating when it comes to special requests. I have serious health concerns. These concerns are severe and I eat like a queen there!“
“Overall impression- friendly, local gem with a cozy, neighborhood restaurant vibe and top notch food, drink and service. We called ahead on a weeknight and they promptly answered the phone and said they had plenty of tables. We were greeted warmly by bar and wait staff. I did not know they would have a full bar and nice wine list. Prices were reasonable! I ordered carrot & turnip soup (amazing!) and we also had the mussels (excellent!) that came with bread. The bread was delicious-not your standard crappy restaurant bread which was a nice surprise. The portions were generous on everything. We ordered chicken and beef pot pies. Oddly, the chicken pot pie was my least favorite thing but just because it was not cooked enough. The top wasn't brown at all and the inside was lukewarm- a stark contrast to the beef pot pie that was nicely brown on top and piping hot. I would have normally mentioned this and asked them to fix it but it was a weeknight and we needed to get home by this point. I took it home where I reheated it the next day for lunch and it was great. The beef pot pie was perfect. I almost gave 4 stars due to the chicken pot pie glitch but I am pretty forgiving of a local place with food and drinks of this caliber AND to be fair, I did not mention it and give them a chance to fix it. As to someone's comment that the "menu is limited" - yes, it is, but it is because they are making this food from scratch and with love. Approach Pot Pie realizing it is a slower paced meal (they tell you this on the menu- it is not fast food!) but it is totally worth the wait.“
“We just recently went after a long time of having on the to go list. This place is great, everything we ate was very good and the service was exceptional. My favorite thing about the food is they really let the ingredients speak for themselves and there's real depth of flavor with how the spice as well. The drinks put us at about $75 a person but that also included a taste of soup, an appetizer, 2 pastas and a dessert. Not outrageous for the quality at all.We had a taste of butternut squash soup and it was outstanding. Shrimp and grits was also outstanding but if you aren't a texture person you probably will not enjoy the sorghum. My duck agnolotti was fantastic, the duck shines but the layers of flavor put it over the top. I didn't enjoy my wife's crab dish but I avoided it for that reason. The topper was the chocolate mousse dessert. Absolutely one of the best desserts I can remember eating.“
“If you need a place to impress someone, have a date night, or just a cozy comforting meal, Antler Room is THE place. Every dish is a slice of heaven, and the homemade pasta is to die for. The staff and atmosphere are always warm and inviting. GO... any chance you get!“
“A friend and I sat at the bar and had an absolutely fantastic night! The cocktails were delicious -- I definitely recommend the Lumberjack. The bartender, Anthony, was so friendly and pleasant. Bathrooms were also super clean. A great place to hang out on a Saturday night!“
“it was sooo good! I ordered the "buff baby Mac n cheese" I believe it was called. It had buffalo sauce on it and two huge chicken tenders. the Mac n cheese itself has a great texture and the sauce was amazing and Oh my goodness the chicken tenders ? they were so crunchy. I really recommend this place if you like Mac n cheese and they're menu is small so there's not much contemplating, it's all quick and easy!“
“Very cool, historic space to have dinner and listen to jazz!! I had the beet salad, lobster and brussel sprouts - all of it was yummy!! My husband had a cesar, steak, sweet potatoes and a dessert. He said it was very good. Our waiter was fantastic and they timing of everything coming out was perfect!! Will be back!!“
“I had the smoked gouda turkey burger with a side salad and both were delicious. The burger had a wonderful mustard sauce. We got there about 11:30 on a Thursday and had no trouble getting a table. By noon the restaurant was filling up. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu. All items had their calorie count.“
“Atmosphere is 10/10. You can hear yourself think but it’s busy enough that the “vibe” is there. Didn’t have the greatest experience with my first plate but the waitress was incredible that she offered to replace my entire meal with another one. AMAZING staff and atmosphere. And GREAT gnocchi pork shoulder dish.“
“The food was fantastic. The service required a lot of heavy hints and reminders to complete basic services like removing empty plates, inquiring about additional drinks from the bar, and providing water refills. It was difficult to hear conversation across the table during the evening meal that we were there for.“
“The Flying Horse Taproom is a neighborhood treasure. I came in regularly before they remodeled and revamped, and I liked it then. Now, I love it! First off, the service and the staff are excellent. Friendly, welcoming and efficient. . The flatbreads are my go to (the classic!) and they are the best. But, with the new menu, I've tried the chicken sandwich and the butter burger, both delicious. The Blue Grotto salad is very good as well. And, during happy hour you cannot beat the prices. I'm not a big beer drinker but I see people coming here all the time to taste the many beers on tap. When the weather is fair, the outside area is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends, and your pup. 5 stars all around for this gem!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Lots of families here during the day time“
“Beautiful overlook of KC and really well decorated venue. We were here for a wedding, most of the food was good, avoid the chicken though. Service is wanting here however, very difficult to get served basic things and they seemed to be lacking a bunch at the bar. Lemons, limes and most drinks weren't well stocked.“
“We had our company Christmas party here with a large group of 15 and the setting was perfect for Christmas. The cabins and igloos outside were decorated so festively and the service was great throughout. I really enjoyed their chips and meatballs and their holiday cocktails with all the fun names. The views were really pretty at night with the fire on the deck. Felt cozy and was. The service was great throughout.“
“I went for the Reuben, and it did not disappoint! Made in house, tender and delicious (mine has no sauerkraut). The bread its served on is fresh and soft. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. They were tasty, but the portion was small for $12 (5 very small mushrooms). Friendly service. Draft beer selection could be better.“
“RUN, do not walk, to this establishment. Let me tell you something... If you come to KC and don't eat here, you are doing yourself an INJUSTICE!!! I thought the Smash Burger was the best thing I had ever put in my mouth and then I tried the S'mores and TRANSCENDED from my body. Moody country rustic vibe beautifully and successfully done. The service was personable and not overdone and every cocktail tasted like it was hand rafted specifically for me. I will fly back here for this restaurant alone. This place looks like something you would see on Instagram and be like, "I'm visiting that city just to go there."Parking: Several spots immediately next to and around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant.“
“A large group of us stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday and had lunch. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was NOM. Hubs ordered a salad and we shared both of theses. For the money, it was good food. Drinks from the Taproom to finish it off. My only complaint is that they needed another person back there helping. Some of the folks didn't order because he was getting behind, and warned there could be a long wait. Bummer for them, that they missed out on good food. The guy puttin' stuff together was workin' hard and doin' a great job. He just could've used some help.“

“Super cute place. My only complaint is the small portion of food for a high price. 2 pieces of sharing was $6... Yeah... That is a bit excessive. But that is to be expected in places like this. But, th drinks and atmosphere are fabulous. Will definitely return for a great date night. ❤️“
“We had a wonderful experience at the Grand St. Cafe. We started with 2 cocktails - the white negroni and the red stilleto. Very refreshing. We had the mushroom spring rolls and the pan seared scallops. Both were so tasty and precisely cooked. We ended with the apple pie and red velvet cake. So yummy. We go out often and this was the best meal we've had in a long time.“
“From the time you walk in the door until you leave you feel welcomed. The servers make you feel like family. I ordered and my meal came out quickly and hot. It was perfectly cooked and a good amount of food. Nicely priced for what was served. If you're in the area this is a must stop.“
“One of Kansas City's classic restaurants. Always delicious and the service is consistently warm and welcoming. I love the interior but it's also beautiful sitting outside on the back deck, or cafe Parisian style out front overlooking the beautiful Plaza.“
“Had a great dinner. Food was on point. Pork shoulder was tender and flavorful, Service was up to par.Loved the design of the restaurant. Bucking the trend of open space restaurants with all hard surfaces that become echo chambers, Third Street has dividers, booths, etc that make conversation not only possible but enjoyable.tl:dr Great food, fine service, awesome atmosphere.“
“I've now been several times because every time has been amazing food, drinks & service. We've tried so many of the menu items and they're all amazing especially the nachos, burger and Cajun pasta. The Camporita cocktail is unbelievable too. Also, every time we've been there the owner has personally come to our table to say hello and check on our experience. Highly recommend for both food and drinks!“
“I worked there as a busboy in 67 & 68. My name is Brad Hughes and I live in Cottage Grove Mn. Ernie was the owner and everyone came there. Sugar Creek at that time was a great place to live when you were a kid. There were bars up and down Sterling all the parents were at the bars and us kids just hung out. Ernies was a great place to work as a kid. I remembering helping Hank behind the bar cleaning glasses to keep up having enough to serve. My Mom ran Jerry and Gary's greasy spoon down the road. The truckers would always stop in. Biscuits and Gravy was very popular back then. I hope to visit the area this summer and will for sure drop in.“
“We had a party of 6 and ordered ribs, pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends, and Cajun chicken and all of it was amazing! The owner was very friendly and checked on us a few times as well as our waitress. We really enjoyed our meal, the prices are great! My son said it entered his top favorite restaurants in the first bite. We will be back!Kid-friendliness: They don't have a kids menu but the food was still great for the kids. It's not a fancy place so it's good for kids. Family friendly atmosphere.“
