“I spent the last 8 months being away from home which is Texas. a little over a month into it, I found Los Alamos Cocina. they have the best Mexican food in the Kansas City area. it was such a comfort for me to have a taste of home away from home. I ate there every Saturday morning from the time I discovered it to the time I left. the owner and the staff are very awesome down the Earth humble people! I'm going to miss eating there and my interactions with El Jefe and Benito and everyone else! thank you Los Alamos Cocina for being my comfort away from home.“

“Run, don’t walk. This place is so damn good. I have had many of tacos in my life….these are truly at the top of my list. The KC taco….chefs kiss. The suadero….dont even get me started. Texture, juiciness, tenderness, crunch, zest, love. All things you want in a taco and they have it all plus some. We tried 6 tacos and all were incredible. Just….trust me. Go.“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“I went to Senor Tequila yesterday with a good friend of mine. The food was very yummy and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was very cool. I definitely plan on going back for more delecious food. I recommend the shrimp burrito with rice, beans, sour cream with yummy guacamole. Also the cheese dip is good too.“

“We skipped the food as we stopped in during the taco festival, but holy awesome service Batman! Victoria (maybe Veronica?) and Brie were awesome bartenders. Very fun and personable. Kept us in margaritas 🍹 and were an absolute joy! Looking forward to going back.

Keeps their online menu up to date unlike many other restaurants. Great values to be had if you keep track of the drink / food specials, especially with the half off appetizers 8-close S-Th.“
