“Used to live across the street years ago. Watched the city bus driver regularly jump out of the driver's seat at the corner stop, run in and grab his to-go breakfast in the mornings. If I didn't already know they had the best breakfast around, I suppose that would have been a good clue. Lovely family too. Don't miss the chile verde pork, and say hi to Augustin for me.“

“Had such a fantastic late lunch today! The service was truly exceptional – everyone had a genuine smile, which made the experience even better 😃. Our food was served hot and it was amazing to watch it being prepared right in front of us. Plus, there was plenty of seating, no wait time at all around 12:30-1 PM, and ample free parking. Highly recommend!“

“Run, don’t walk. This place is so damn good. I have had many of tacos in my life….these are truly at the top of my list. The KC taco….chefs kiss. The suadero….dont even get me started. Texture, juiciness, tenderness, crunch, zest, love. All things you want in a taco and they have it all plus some. We tried 6 tacos and all were incredible. Just….trust me. Go.“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“I had tacos al pastor, and I swear they were the best EVER! Sweet corn tamales also amazing. Fabulous place, at excellent prices. Two of us ate, including a couple beers, for about $35 and we were stuffed.“
