“Friend and I were visiting St Charles. Decided to stop by and get a charcuterie board and bottle of wine to take back to our cottage. I would love to know the kind of cheeses included in the box-they were delicious. And the meats and bread were top quality. Staff was so friendly and accommodating on a busy evening.“

“I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. “We love Sugar & Slice! We have used them for birthday cakes in the past and we knew they would be best for our wedding cake. We just got married this past weekend in May and they did a fantastic job using our reference to build our cake. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. The texture was still soft and full of flavor. We can't recommend them enough. They also did an amazing spread of cookies and cinnamon rolls. We provided to go bags for our guests and we had none left to take home, they were so popular. You will not be disappointed with whatever items you decide to buy from Sugar & Slice.“

“The food is great and you get a good bang for your buck! It doesn't look it but this Chicken Rice bowl in HEAVY! It comes with broccoli, green bell peppers, and onion! They use a short grain rice which isn't my favorite but it complements the dish well! The flavor is great too! I also got a side of tzatziki sauce which is also very good! 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back! Great job👍“

“Dave’s Hot Chicken always hits the spot! 🔥 Every time I come here, the food is fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The fries are always on point, especially with the sauce. That sauce is seriously so fire! I’m vegetarian, so I always go with the cauliflower bites, and they never disappoint. They’re crispy on the outside, packed with flavor, and honestly just as satisfying as anything else on the menu. I love that there’s an option for people who don’t eat chicken but still want to enjoy the Dave’s experience. The portions are solid, the food is consistent, and I always leave satisfied. “We had our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at Mellow Mushroom and boy, did we choose a great place! They had us all set up for 25 people beautifully when we arrived and was quickly introduced to our amazing server, Katie. Between her and her crew of helpers (for lack of a better word), we were taken care of so well. Tara, the bartender also tended to us with quick and excellent service. The general manager Ahmad checked on us several times to be sure we were happy and everyone was taken care of. Food and drinks were quickly and deliciously served and enjoyed. The atmosphere is so fun and upbeat. I don’t think we had one problem (except us being 7 minutes late - so sorry about that!!). We go to Mellow Mushroom as a couple and a family and now we can add as a wedding party and extended family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!“

The only complaint is I can’t have them on Sunday! :( We’ve tried to go back to other sandwich shops on a Sunday and it never compares to Gioia’s. What I ordered was (2) Bestie 2 Combos, one with Sweet Ribs and Smoked Wings sides were Sweet Potato Chips and Mac n Cheese, the 2nd Bestie 2 Combie was Ribs, Smoked wings and for the sides it was the Fries and the Mac N Cheese. Total for the Order was $41.72 Charged to VISA Debit Card Ending In (4360) I recently moved away to Iowa in the past 1 year so anytime I come into town in Saint Charles to see my parents which is often I always get Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles, MO I wish I could get it from Delmar if it was closer because I have never had a bad experience at that location ever, however Saint Charles is a different story. When I got to my parents I noticed all of the food was cold, not even slightly warm, I was really confused on how that was possible because I arrived at Salt N Smoke in Saint Charles before my order was finished. I ended up warming up both dinners because I did not want to waste food but still could not get myself to finish the meal mainly because there was something very wrong with the chicken almost like it was spoiled, my girlfriend was trying to be polite and ate everything to her regret, 1 day later she told me she had the worse stomach pain she has ever felt and it was so bad where we had to rush her to the E.R Hospital at Great River Health Center in Fort Madison, IA where we currently reside. After waiting 2 hours, doing blood tests and urine samples the doctor came to the conclusion that my girlfriend had gotten "Gastritis" which is a bad stomach inflammation which the doctor recommended it was caused from the poultry at the BBQ place she ate which was Salt N Smoke on Saint Charles... Tried to write them via Email no response, they will be hearing from my attorney.“

“Walking down Main St on a beautiful evening and the patio caught our eye. The "dungeon" basement is cool and the bartender was really sweet. Having a fire when it got a bit chilly was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be recommending to friends and coming back for dinner soon.“

“This place is the most welcoming, warm, full of good people dive bar I have ever been to in my life. Lots of pinball machines, wonderful bartenders and patrons, Dan-o's pizza if you get hungry. The pinball machines are half the cost. They are anywhere else that I've been to. The owners are amazing. And the people are such a great group of people. This place has been my home bar for 4 years and I don't see that changing. I always feel safe, welcome, and protected when I am in this bar. “This was such a cute little family owned restaurant. While it looked like most people picked up for delivery, you can eat in and they give you paper plates. We ordered the popcorn chicken which had fried basil in it and it was so unexpected and delicious! My littles loved the stir fry noodles. Also unexpected was what they called Chicken Chili stir fry!
