The Char salad was so much better than I expected! Our server, Justin, did over and beyond to make our dinner a great time.”

It was good and the queso was queso but the black bean was the star of that appetizer. We were there during the day and ordered the lunch portions even though full size portions were still available. I have no idea how much more you get with dinner but it has to be huge. We left so full. I got the rasta pasta with shrimp which was incredible. My husband ordered the tiki tacos with fish and said not only was it the best fish tacos he's ever had but it was the best coleslaw he's ever gotten at a restaurant. Then they offered us homemade keylime pie made with the owners mother's recipe. Like I said we was full but I ordered some to go. It was so creamy and refreshing. I'm so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back.”

“Me giving them 4 stars is not because they are bad or not worth going.
I feel like the prices are a bit steep. The prices almost make me want to go home, dig out my family cookbook, and ingredients - and whip out some classically good homemade cookies, which you honestly can't really beat.
These are okay, for being a lot of money. If you need a snack or dessert to share at a kid's game, or work function in a pinch, maybe consider Crmbl.

Owner Avid seen in the dining room the whole time actively greeting and seating guests, and assisting the staff. Well done everyone--this is our new place!!”

“We ordered cupcakes for my daughter's gender reveal and she asked did you feel all the cupcakes or just some and the girl proceeded to tell my daughter what the color was. my daughter is the mother and her day was ruined. Then when confronted the girl lied said she asked the color and that my daughter didn't look pregnant. When they were orderd the guy clearly stated it was on the order form to not say anything. Although the cupcakes are good they have lost my business. On top of ruining the day they made her pay. Do better”

The fish tacos were spot on. My wife had cheese enchiladas and said they, with the red sauce, ate the best she's ever had. Kudos to everyone there for doing Cali-Mex perfectly.”

Once the error was discovered it became evident they were not prepared for our group. We were made to feel as if we'd done something wrong. They seated us in another area, our drink orders taken and delivered, and we never saw our server again. Finally, after one of us had to leave in order to get food before going to work, we decided to go elsewhere. “Went in today to have a meal with my daughter who drives up to meet me anytime I'm in the area. This is our go to spot and has been for over 10yrs. One of the workers there gave us attitude and actually told us to leave. We called Anna the general manager and had a conversation with her. She is AMAZING and made it right. We highly recommend this store and are so thrilled with the way the general management handled the situation. Will recommend to anyone and everyone and we will keep making our stops there as normal.”

The live music is the best in the area, and somehow there’s no cover charge — which feels like robbery (in the best way)! The staff is a huge part of why I keep coming back. I always feel safe and welcome thanks to their professionalism and good vibes. Robyn is my absolute favorite! She’s friendly and so real, attentive (my drinks are never empty), and keeps the energy fun. Chloe is also fantastic, and honestly, the whole crew is great. The food? Amazing. Their menu is massive with something for everyone. The fried mushrooms, onion rings, and mac n cheese are my go-to’s, but the wings and burgers are just as stellar. “Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. That is simply a double cheese burger with cheese and chilli on it. Ok the chilli is what they are famous for ...chilli dogs, burgers, frito pies and such. And I have to say, what shows up at our table. I was shocked and a little confused. I will tell you that this was so good, I kept eating until I was breathing hard. The fries were hand cut and a little on the dark side (Perfect) atmosphere..outstanding Service...top notch. I absolutely recommend this place and will take friends and family when they visit. any way as a recent transplant to Springfield, I have to agree with the nostalgic love of this place”

“Since the south Glenstone location in Springfield reopened have eaten there twice inside. Service was great. Food was good. Price was the same as before restaurant including bathrooms are clean. Called in a carry out today it was ready when I went to pick it up and still warm upon getting home realized there was a mixup in the order. Called and girl who answered gave me to I assume the manager who was very nice and understanding and offered to absolutely Fix it and even through in aside for my trouble. Only took 10 minutes to get the corrected order and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this location for dine in and carry out !”

It's not necessarily cheap, but it's amazing. How they remember orders without writing them down is a talent I know I couldn't do. Last night, I had the rib-eye steak and green beans with a glass of wine, and oh my goodness, it was amazing. Phillip was our server last night, and he is absolutely amazing. He was so good I tipped him 50% of the bill. My only recommendation to make Avanzare better would be to hire a photographer to come around and take pictures of couples celebrating a special occasion, or a small live orchestra, a one- or two-piece band playing music in the background. We will be back next year, celebrating our 11th anniversary.”

“Had a group of 7 people and were able to get a table easily at 5:30 on a weekday. Menu is HUGE! There are so many dishes to choose from. We all ordered something different and shared. All portions are served family style and come out piping hot from the kitchen. Dishes come out sporadically from the kitchen so some of us got our dishes quickly, others took longer. All dishes can be easily split between multiple people. Service is fast and attentive. They even offered to split the check evenly amongst all of us if we wanted or pay per dish. A lot of dishes have a mild spice level. If you’re overly sensitive to spice, just watch out for that. Nothing too crazy but it does get your attention. You get a huge bowl of stemmed rice to share amongst the table (we got 2 due to size of group). I personally ordered the steamed pork dumplings and the braised pork belly with rice noodles. Pork was very tender and the steamed buns were delicious. Will be back to try other dishes for sure!”

I currently have dietary restrictions, which is why we chose Farmers based off their gluten free friendly menu. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile and kindness even though we had three littles with us. They placed us in a corner table to make sure we had room for our kiddos. Upon being seated Rachel our waitress greeted us with a smile and kindness. We explained to her that we had dietary restrictions and she immediately went to the kitchen to verify what was safe for me. Rachel continued to be kind, compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. I can’t thank Farmers Gastropub and Rachel enough for her kindness to parents who truly needed a little lunch out and how wonderful it was. If you are looking for excellent food, and even better service Farmers Gastropub is the place for you!!”

“6/28/2026 Colton's consistently gives a great dining experience every visit. It's why I choose Colton's every year for my birthday dinner with my family. Our party of 5 was seated fairly quickly. Marissa was an attentive and excellent server. Drink order was taken and served quickly along with a basket full of piping hot delicious rolls, butter, and honey. An appetizer of huge cheese sticks and salad also served in a timely manner followed by entrees ranging from chicken to Philly cheesesteak to sirloin and NY strip steaks. Orders were accurate, steaks were perfect as were the other entrees and sides. Thanks to Marissa's great service, we lacked for nothing. As busy as she was, still very efficient and personable to us, going the extra mile to make my birthday outing wonderful. Thank you so much!”

I was immediately impressed by the work ethic of the entire crew of this restaurant. I would have loved to have had any of them in my restaurants. “I contacted the manager at the Kimbrough location before Thanksgiving to request an order that would be our Thanksgiving dinner. My son recently lost his wife and this was his first Thanksgiving without her (she was an incredible lady), so there was a lot of sadness in our hearts. So, because my son loves Firehouse Subs, that's what I wanted to do for him for Thanksgiving. The manager didn't even hesitate, she was more than willing to provide the sandwiches and she provided the ingredients so we could make our own sandwiches on Thanksgiving Day. When she called to tell me the food was ready for me to pick up Wednesday evening, she told me something I did not expect! She did not charge me for the food and it was such an extremely nice thing for her to do, it made me cry. When I told my son what Firehouse Subs did for us, he and I both cried, because it was such a kind, unexpected gesture and it helped so much when we were dealing with the loss of his wife during the holidays. It gave me some hope that there are good people still left in this world. Thank you to the Manager personally for this simple act of kindness you did for my family; and thank you to the entire staff for all of their help and patience when I was getting this ordered.”
