“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Perfect Night at Retro Metro! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by two lovely ladies who made us feel right at home. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant energy that set the stage for an amazing evening. Our waiter, **Dillon**, was new but absolutely fantastic—attentive, quick, and so eager to learn while providing excellent service. **The drinks were a highlight!** My espresso martini was *divine*—rich, smooth, and almost like a dessert with what tasted like a hint of chocolate at the center. My fiancé’s smoked old fashioned (made with **Blanton’s**) was **next-level good**—bold, perfectly balanced, and so flavorful. For starters, the **calamari** was cooked *perfectly*—crispy, tender, and not rubbery at all. I had the Major crossing medallions and he had the Ribeye. Both seared to perfection with amazing flavor. The garlic butter mashed potatoes, well let me say I could have eaten a whole bowl of them! The chocolate chip cookies were the cherry on top! Oh and the chef came out to say hello because duh, the food was amazeballs and customer service was top tier! Overall, **Retro Metro exceeded every expectation**. We can’t wait to come back!”

No one answered my email, and neither time I called was the need for a reservation mentioned. When we arrived, they evidently mistook our group for another one who was also lunching there that day. Once the error was discovered it became evident they were not prepared for our group. We were made to feel as if we'd done something wrong. They seated us in another area, our drink orders taken and delivered, and we never saw our server again. Finally, after one of us had to leave in order to get food before going to work, we decided to go elsewhere. A neighboring restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly without fuss, despite being short handed. We had our food within a surprisingly short time. Thank you, Big Momma's. We'll be back.”

“We went here for my wife’s birthday dinner. It is a very popular place and we enjoyed it and our server. Atmosphere was very friendly and so were the staff. My wife had the ribeye, broccoli with cheese and loaded baked potato. I don’t remember the last time that she ordered and eat a steak that size as well every thing else on her plate! Her steak was done as she requested. I had the top sirloin and half a rack of ribs, also baked potato and red beans with rice. It was delicious and perfect blend of each. We will be back for another dinner or lunch. The restaurant was so busy and so many places to sit, I didn’t want to impose on the guests to take more pictures.”

We came here kind of late and were able to order food right before the kitchen closed. We started off with 2 drinks: a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for me and an Orange Dream for my husband. We were very hungry so we ordered 2 appetizers. The mezze board comes with fresh flatbread, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki. We also ordered chips and dip. The dip was yogurt based with chives. Everything tasted absolutely wonderful and flavorful that our plates were sparkling clean by the time we were done. Their service was fast, the staff friendly and attentive. The rooftop location is great offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience, definitely a must if you’re in Springfield!”

I always feel safe and welcome thanks to their professionalism and good vibes. Robyn is my absolute favorite! She’s friendly and so real, attentive (my drinks are never empty), and keeps the energy fun. Chloe is also fantastic, and honestly, the whole crew is great. The food? Amazing. Their menu is massive with something for everyone. The fried mushrooms, onion rings, and mac n cheese are my go-to’s, but the wings and burgers are just as stellar. “Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. That is simply a double cheese burger with cheese and chilli on it. Ok the chilli is what they are famous for ...chilli dogs, burgers, frito pies and such. And I have to say, what shows up at our table. I was shocked and a little confused. I will tell you that this was so good, I kept eating until I was breathing hard. The fries were hand cut and a little on the dark side (Perfect) atmosphere..outstanding Service...top notch. I absolutely recommend this place and will take friends and family when they visit. any way as a recent transplant to Springfield, I have to agree with the nostalgic love of this place”

As we walked in, everyone was smiling and in a good mood. I made sure to check with my alien spotting glasses and zero patrons were aliens. Jera took care of us and to say she was amazing was an understatement 🥰 enjoyed some fat, nasty fries(they were fat but FAR from nasty) and some fried pickles along with a couple crown black lbl cokes. But it’s really close.”

“So I have a wheat allergy, and have been going to neighbors mill for a long time because I can have the spelt oat bread. Here recently the customer service has gone way down hill. Today I called a head and order a grilled cheese on spelt, a tomato soup, and a salad and told them “no bread on the side.” When I got there I checked my food (because I have ordered this before and still end up with bread on the salad and have to give it away) and the salad had the focaccia in with it. So I told the lady checking me out that it needs to be remade, and her response to me was “well you should have told us.” (It was written on the receipt) so while I was waiting for that I asked for a spelt pumpkin muffin, paid for it and went on my way. At a stop light I had realized that she had given me a regular pumpkin muffin. So I turned around and when I got there she said “what’s wrong now?” And I told her that she put a regular muffin in my bag when I had asked for a spelt one because of my allergy. Needless to say I’m done, between what happened today and a buddy of mine used to work there and he told me that they treat their employees like garbage. Now they’re treating their customers the same way.”

Upon arrival without a reservation, we were seated promptly, appreciative of the kind service and the staff's remarkable knowledge. Everyone exhibited exceptional kindness, and as a discerning diner, I found the spaghetti, bread, calamari, salad, and all dishes outstanding. My husband ordered the fried lasagna, which was promptly delivered to our table, fresh and hot. The staff's kindness was impressive, creating an atmosphere I truly appreciate, and we intend to return. Thank you for hosting us and treating our family with such consideration, which means a great deal, as it appears to be a very popular destination! “Went to this lovely restaurant on Wednesday 19 April for dinner. Our server Mike was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and so pleased to see a real carbonara on the menu. Dessert was to die for. Had never seen or heard of a Sans Rival cake before but pastry chef, Sophia did a fantastic job with this delicious dessert. Can highly recommend this restaurant and if we’re ever travelling through Springfield again will definitely go here again.”
