Owner Avid seen in the dining room the whole time actively greeting and seating guests, and assisting the staff. Well done everyone--this is our new place!!”

Then when confronted the girl lied said she asked the color and that my daughter didn't look pregnant. When they were orderd the guy clearly stated it was on the order form to not say anything. Although the cupcakes are good they have lost my business. On top of ruining the day they made her pay. Do better”

No one answered my email, and neither time I called was the need for a reservation mentioned. When we arrived, they evidently mistook our group for another one who was also lunching there that day. Once the error was discovered it became evident they were not prepared for our group. We were made to feel as if we'd done something wrong. They seated us in another area, our drink orders taken and delivered, and we never saw our server again. Finally, after one of us had to leave in order to get food before going to work, we decided to go elsewhere. A neighboring restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly without fuss, despite being short handed. We had our food within a surprisingly short time. Thank you, Big Momma's. We'll be back.”

“Tina and I go to Avanzare Italian Dining every year for our anniversary. This is one day we splurge. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. It's not necessarily cheap, but it's amazing. How they remember orders without writing them down is a talent I know I couldn't do. Last night, I had the rib-eye steak and green beans with a glass of wine, and oh my goodness, it was amazing. Phillip was our server last night, and he is absolutely amazing. He was so good I tipped him 50% of the bill. My only recommendation to make Avanzare better would be to hire a photographer to come around and take pictures of couples celebrating a special occasion, or a small live orchestra, a one- or two-piece band playing music in the background. We will be back next year, celebrating our 11th anniversary.”

She apologizes (unnecessarily), takes my order, prepares it as a party of two walk in, then another solo party and she greets them, apologizing for being the only one here each time. The thing is, Melissa showed up, she’s doing a tough job alone and she showed up. She made my breakfast perfectly and did a very good job taking care of me and the other patrons while I was here. One of the workers there gave us attitude and actually told us to leave. We called Anna the general manager and had a conversation with her. She is AMAZING and made it right. We highly recommend this store and are so thrilled with the way the general management handled the situation. Will recommend to anyone and everyone and we will keep making our stops there as normal.”

Called in a carry out today it was ready when I went to pick it up and still warm upon getting home realized there was a mixup in the order. Called and girl who answered gave me to I assume the manager who was very nice and understanding and offered to absolutely Fix it and even through in aside for my trouble. Only took 10 minutes to get the corrected order and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this location for dine in and carry out !”

“Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. That is simply a double cheese burger with cheese and chilli on it. Ok the chilli is what they are famous for ...chilli dogs, burgers, frito pies and such. And I have to say, what shows up at our table. I was shocked and a little confused. I will tell you that this was so good, I kept eating until I was breathing hard. The fries were hand cut and a little on the dark side (Perfect) atmosphere..outstanding Service...top notch. I absolutely recommend this place and will take friends and family when they visit. any way as a recent transplant to Springfield, I have to agree with the nostalgic love of this place”

“I actually really like this spot the drinks are solid and the atmosphere is usually great but I had a pretty ‘trippy’ interaction with a staff member that made zero sense.
The bar is completely wide open to the outdoor patio, so the wind blows everyone’s cigarette/weed smoke from outside directly into the indoor seating area. Despite sitting in a literal cloud of second-hand smoke from the patio, I had a guy come up and tell me I couldn't vape. It was honestly one of the most impressively backward things I've experienced, like someone yelling at you for using a squirt gun while you’re both standing at the bottom of a waterfall. “I contacted the manager at the Kimbrough location before Thanksgiving to request an order that would be our Thanksgiving dinner. My son recently lost his wife and this was his first Thanksgiving without her (she was an incredible lady), so there was a lot of sadness in our hearts. So, because my son loves Firehouse Subs, that's what I wanted to do for him for Thanksgiving. The manager didn't even hesitate, she was more than willing to provide the sandwiches and she provided the ingredients so we could make our own sandwiches on Thanksgiving Day. When she called to tell me the food was ready for me to pick up Wednesday evening, she told me something I did not expect! She did not charge me for the food and it was such an extremely nice thing for her to do, it made me cry. When I told my son what Firehouse Subs did for us, he and I both cried, because it was such a kind, unexpected gesture and it helped so much when we were dealing with the loss of his wife during the holidays. It gave me some hope that there are good people still left in this world.
