“when you walk into Mama's, you might not think much since it's just a counter and 2 small tables but from the smells coming out the kitchen and the friendly guy taking your order alone, you will already be excited to eat. I found Mama's maybe 4 weeks ago and we have been at least 8 times. everything is cooked fresh, it only takes about 15 minutes no matter what you order for your food to come out cooked perfectly and delicious. We have order a lot of different items on their extremely cheap menu and we havent found anything we didn't like. Definitely a weekly meal and no matter what you want from seafood to delicious hamburgers, this is the best place to eat in Gulfport“
“It's really nice inside, but the wait can be ridiculously long. My wife and I ordered a salad and it took over 40 minutes to get it. The waitress kept apologizing, and that was nice of her. However, that's way too long to wait for a salad.“

“Today was my first time trying this place and by far the best snowball place in Gulfport! I tried banana pudding stuffed and it was amazing. I also tried some of my favorite concession stand food: Chili Cheese dog and chili cheese fries! The chili is not your generic chili it’s like homemade. So yummy definitely give it a thumbs up! “Such a surprisingly pleasant experience! The cashier was more than patient answering my questions and even making great suggestions. This was my first time ever at this restaurant or any Captain D's. I am very picky when it comes to fish so I normally don't order any at fast food or restaurants. However, my husband said they have the best fish. So I ordered the fish and shrimp and boy was it great! Hot!! Lightly battered and had a gentle crunch. Not at all what I was expecting. And it wasn't "fishy" smelling or tasting which was a big relief. I guess to explain further, it tasted like fresh fish and not rotten strong smelling and tasting fish. Which was perfect for me! Even enjoyed the Mac and cheese which was worth the upcharge to change from fries. Bush puppies were pretty goid as well! “Our waitress was so kind and sweet to our children! Took them a minute to make their order but she was so patient with them and recommended the new strawberry waffles so my son and I got them and we loved them! My kids would recommend the sweet tea as well, pretty delicious. My husband got cheese grits and was hesitant about how they would be and they were amazing! So glad we stopped in for brunch it's been awhile since we went to a waffle house and this one did not disappoint!“

“The waffle house location is right on Highway 90 in Gulfport. It has a great view. They were not very busy. The food was of course excellent. I would recommend a pecan waffle or blueberry waffle. They are the bomb. Of course their hashbrowns are tasty as always, eggs were cooked well, and I chose their ham which was very good.The server just seemed to be a little bit out of it, but you know everybody has their days.And who doesn’t like waffle house, right? !“
