“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

And has the best coffee anywhere / onion rings with every order if you want!!! Music is mostly oldies and at level so you can talk to your partner while enjoying the restaurant - I have been eating there for over 30 years - nothing has changed - he has a 7ft security guard that can make you feel very safe. “I’ve been frequenting this restaurant for years. I don’t know what seasoning they use and they will not tell me but it is sooooo good! I have had their oyster Po boy, chicken wings, gizzards, livers and they were all delicious. I have moved to Madison, but I betcha I’m stopping today for my order of their house salad and gizzards! I hope they one day open up another restaurant off Countyline or Ridgeland, maybe I’ll suggest it today, what do you think??“

“The lines seem to stretch on forever, and the wait can feel like an eternity! To top it off, the cashiers’ attitudes can sometimes leave much to be desired. If only they could enhance their customer service and make the wait feel a bit more bearable, I bet complaints would plummet. A little effort in these areas could transform the experience for everyone involved!“

“Visiting out of town and and saw the Philly and the craving came. The woman who helped me was really sweet and caring for me and other customers. Good is good with limited staff when busy. But worth the wait. Come grab a bite!

“The boudin balls, sausage and chicken gumbo, and the sweet tea were very good. The 16oz ribeye was mediocre, the rosemary potatoes were ok needed more seasoning, and the broccoli was over cooked and floating in butter. The blackened gator tacos( a signature dish) were chewing and flavorless. Overall the restaurant was nice and quiet. Our waiter wasn't very friendly and acted like he didn't want to be at work. Other than bringing our food out he only checked on our table once to see if we needed anything or refills for our drinks. Definitely wouldn't go back!“
