“I have visited both blue deer in Blowing Rock & now this one on King in Boone. At this location, Luc was at the register and Lindsay made my vanilla shake with crumbled chocolate chip. She took the time to get it right. Both employees were nice, too! While I love their ice cream which is sourced from Homeland Creamery in Julian, NC—I did ask where they get the baked goods & it’s actually US Goods, from my understanding.

I would love for them to source local cookies & baked goods to use in their ice creams. It would elevate the experience! I did find out the bagels are local, that’s a plus for me!

BTW, our son enjoys their coffee and the upper levels to occasionally get his projects and reading done for App State.

I do highly recommend Blue Deer! If you can, go up and sit way up high and get the views!

Parking: Parking is thru out the downtown area, walked to shop and was very very busy but lined moved fast“

“You'll know you're near when you start smelling the chocolate and fudge! Variety of options to choose from. The treats were very good, my only complaint is the prices. I got the smallest cup available for ice cream and it was almost $8. My husband purchased some fudge & 3 chocolate covered pretzels-That was $20.“
