“The cocktail menu is phenomenal. Chris the bartender has his own creations and they are amazing. Ian the owner is so personable, he has really put some time and effort in his delectable menu choices. We love this place! Go check it out“

“The only negative my companion and I experienced on our visit was that they were out of SEVERAL items on the menu, and we were there for an "early" lunch. That means customers following us were going to have even fewer choices for their meals!“

“We visited the area the week of Aug. 2-6. Our first visit. Take out only. Not a problem. They have a system to get you in and out quickly, with hot food, done as ordered. I eat my hotdogs pretty plain, husband eats his ATW. We loved our food. We ate outside on one of several small booths. This is a locally owned business. We strive to find these when we travel. Glad we found this one.“

“my friends and I visited Monday after the herb festival and had the best food of our whole trip at Chestnut! they had the Eggs Benedict and I chose the burger gluten free. all our meals were amazing and the care our waitress put into asking about my gluten issues was so appreciated! I do believe it was the best gluten free burger fries and cheese tots I have eaten ever! Thank you so much for taking the time and going the extra mile for those of us with Celiac. Crystal ( I hope that's right, my mind is old lol)was truly awesome and everyone needs to experience this place and her! 500 stars!!“

“We chose Posana, where we had eaten before, based on past experiences and the gluten free menu. It involved a birthday, but we try to lowkey those, especially as we get older. Our server, Allie, and her trainee went the extra mile to give excellent service and make us feel very welcome. There were several other dietary restrictions which were easily accommodated. The kale salad and both entrees were quite good. There was even a dessert that was tweaked a bit so I could enjoy it which is usually not true in most restaurants. We were in the front part of the dining room which was somewhat quieter, but it was a Saturday night so there was a full house and the noise that comes with it. They did acknowledge the occasion with a card signed by the employees ( fun to imagine them lined up to do that). We had not been to Posana much this year as we are a bit last minute, so reservations (necessary during tourist season) were a problem. However, we plan to return in the near future. I would strongly recommend it which I don't do often.“

“This was hands down one of the best breakfast spots we tried during our weekend getaway to Asheville. My boyfriend and I both got a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit which was out of this world!! Reminded us of authentic southern homemade cooking, something hard to come by with many chain or franchise restaurants. Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try!“

“First time at Salt Face Mule tonight. This place is awesome, highly recommend anyone in the Asheville area to come check this place out. Such a fun atmosphere, great food, and a great time all around. Our bartender Kyle was an awesome guy who gave us great recommendations for things to see and do while we’re visiting here. We’re visiting family in the area and I’ll definitely be back to this place the next time we’re back in town. Awesome job tonight guys and we appreciate it! - Chase and Rose“

“My husband and I enjoyed the shrimp Po boys tonight at the Highland brewing and it was AMAZING!!! We are from New Orleans so it was super special to get a po boy in Asheville with REAL French bread. I loved Grush's twist on the Po boy with the pickled veggies and the delicious sauce. 10/10 recommend them. I can't wait to try more food items but I may just keep eating the Po boys because they were that good! Also, Panda was the SWEETEST and Grush is so talented. ❤️“

“We were a party of 8...in the summer...around lunchtime...so it was crowded but we were seated quickly..had biscuits right away and our food came out quickly...portions were huge..(.I think the meatloaf slice was a pound of beef by itself.)..Staff were courteous and helpful with our wheelchair and walkers.food was reasonably priced... our only "negative" comment would be that some desserts ran out :( but everything else was great!“

“Man, this place is awesome. The service? Top-tier—super friendly and on point. And the food? So good! I was psyched that they could make their crab cakes gluten-free, and honestly, they were insane. Crispy, flavorful, just straight-up delicious. Now, the BBQ pork flatbread? Total game changer. Smoky, a little sweet, a little tangy, with the perfect crunch. Just the kind of thing you wanna keep going back for.“

“Great view of smokie/Appalachian mountains. Came for appetizers and drinks before dinner in the main dining room. Great relaxing setting. Also got to see a wedding on the lawn below the terrace, with the mountains in the background. What a lovely romantic touch to the start of an evening.“

“Had a great Turkey Pita and White Ale on the patio with friends. Excellent wooded vibes and great food selection!
I would recommend 1) Something to keep the tables from wobbling. 2) A menu with accurate pricing. My bill was different than the menu suggested.“

“Just went for my birthday dinner to the Rye Knot. We had the Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer. Solid. I had the smoked rye old fashioned and my GF had house margarita...both were delicious.
We both had steaks...a tenderloin and ribeye....perfectly done and seasoned very well.
Stephanie was our very attentive waitress and we had a chance to meet Bob and his wife ( owners ). Bob is a retired Navy Commander and that gives him bonus points in my book since I am a Jarhead from way back ;)
Please visit these folks and tell them Larry sent you ;)

“The Beer Geek tour was very informative and a great value. If you have 3 hours and want to get a behind the scene experience of the beer making process every step of the way from water and grains and ending with finished product in packaging, this is the tour for you. The tour guide Mary did a great job explaining the process and answering questions. Additionally, all the employees we encoutered along the way were very friendly and showed great pride in their company and the immaculate Mills River facility!“

“We’ve passed by so many times and always see a bunch of cars. We finally stopped in last night and we are so glad we did. Drinks were great, our server was fantastic. I think her name was Gretta. She gave us food suggestions and was very attentive. Food was great. Hubby had the Sea Bass special and I had the pork belly and scallops. Both delicious. The baklava pie was out of this world. I think we will be stopping by again while we are visiting. Highly recommended. Lots of people waiting for a table and take out. We loved the vibe and decor.“

“We dined here for lunch back-to-back days. Servers both days were very knowledgeable and friendly. They also shared some of the history of the restaurant. The booths are placed in the original horse stalls. The iron work, subway tile and brick floor are all original too. The second story is the old hay loft. My wife had the trout BLT both days. So good. I did the chicken salad Day 1 and hamburger Day 2. Both were excellent.“

“Server was an older woman who was down right rude. She brought our food and I reminded her of my biscuit. She snapped at me that I hadn't ordered one- even though we had had a discussion about flavor of jelly- to which she replied "whatever". As she marched away I said to my daughter that I guess she didn't want her tip. She did bring the biscuit and did try to be overly nice, which felt very insincere., almost sarcastic. She had ruined our little celebration brunch with her absolutely awful attitude. I used to love this place.“
