“We visited the area the week of Aug. 2-6. Our first visit. Take out only. Not a problem. They have a system to get you in and out quickly, with hot food, done as ordered. I eat my hotdogs pretty plain, husband eats his ATW. We loved our food. We ate outside on one of several small booths. This is a locally owned business. We strive to find these when we travel. Glad we found this one.“

“We went here for our anniversary and had an exceptional experience. We were given a card signed by the staff, congratulating us on our occasion, as well as given multiple free things to celebrate. The food was excellent, and they had an extremely extensive wine menu as well. The waitress was also excellent and checked in on it quite often. We were told by multiple staff members happy anniversary and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.“

“Great pork tenderloin and steak and nice presentation!! Pretty ambiance inside the restaurant and especially because the strip mall location is deceiving. The non-alcoholic chardonnay ordered by my friend did not taste like a chardonnay but more like a sparkling drink and the waiter kindly took it back and removed it from the bill. The 4 of us shared a delicious peach tart for dessert!“

“This was hands down one of the best breakfast spots we tried during our weekend getaway to Asheville. My boyfriend and I both got a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit which was out of this world!! Reminded us of authentic southern homemade cooking, something hard to come by with many chain or franchise restaurants. Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try!“

“First time at Salt Face Mule tonight. This place is awesome, highly recommend anyone in the Asheville area to come check this place out. Such a fun atmosphere, great food, and a great time all around. Our bartender Kyle was an awesome guy who gave us great recommendations for things to see and do while we’re visiting here. “My husband and I enjoyed the shrimp Po boys tonight at the Highland brewing and it was AMAZING!!! We are from New Orleans so it was super special to get a po boy in Asheville with REAL French bread. I loved Grush's twist on the Po boy with the pickled veggies and the delicious sauce. 10/10 recommend them. I can't wait to try more food items but I may just keep eating the Po boys because they were that good! Also, Panda was the SWEETEST and Grush is so talented. ❤️“

“Our reservation was for 3:30 and they were not super busy at that time. LOVED IT. Great atmosphere, we ordered the salmon and the rueben, both were excellent. Crystal was super at guessing our every need, wonderful personality, too. Prices were in line with Colorado, so no surprises there. Parking simple. . All was memorable!“

“We were a party of 8...in the summer...around lunchtime...so it was crowded but we were seated quickly..had biscuits right away and our food came out quickly...portions were huge..(.I think the meatloaf slice was a pound of beef by itself.)..Staff were courteous and helpful with our wheelchair and walkers.food was reasonably priced... our only "negative" comment would be that some desserts ran out :( but everything else was great!“

“Had an amazing meal and experience at Carmels. We had our two chihuahuas celebrating our wedding anniversary. We live a rather hectic life and this year after a tough year of tremendous loss of family members all we could get together was a day trip which is not the usual for our birthday to anniversary celebrations. We were tired and hungry and after being disappointed by a couple other spots that claimed to be “dog friendly “ now I believe all happened for a reason. My husband and I were met by awesome staff outside that loved on our fur babies and sat us at one of their outdoor patio tables then served us some of the most delicious food and stopped by randomly to love on our girls some more. Definitely highly recommend this place if you plan visiting Asheville. We will definitely be back.“

“Not only was the service and food fantastic but we were so very impressed with the outcome of what could have been a very bad experience. One of the ladies from our party left her purse and we had been away from the restaurant for well over an hour and a half and as we were leaving the grounds she realized she had left her purse. The shuttle driver promptly got us back as quickly as possible and although the restaurant was closed, we were able to flag down an employee still working inside. They kindly opened the door and let us search and it turned out an employee had already submitted the purse to front desk. We were abundantly grateful to get the purse back and all its contents as well. In today's world this happens less and less. The Biltmore has wonderful employees, and we were very pleased for this.“

If you have 3 hours and want to get a behind the scene experience of the beer making process every step of the way from water and grains and ending with finished product in packaging, this is the tour for you. The tour guide Mary did a great job explaining the process and answering questions. Additionally, all the employees we encoutered along the way were very friendly and showed great pride in their company and the immaculate Mills River facility!“
