“It was our first time at Salt Fish. We looked at reviews and made reservations. WOW! Salt fish exceeded our expectations!!! Every entree was really good - black beans & rice, scallops and red drum. The true delight is dessert! The rum Cake is a must have - warm, light, complex. The vinho verde and sparkling rose were delicious. I will come Back just to have wine and dessert. It’s an intimate setting and with friendly personal service. Don’t miss Salt Fish when you visit Carolina Beach.”

It's a rough day for my family and we couldn't have asked for a kinder, sweeter, or friendlier group of locals. The Pelican family went out if it's way to make us feel loved and welcome, to the point of tears. It's a memory that will stay in my mind as among the truest examples of the Christmas spirit I have ever experienced. Thank you 💚”

“Went for a 10K run right before stopping by on my way out of town - 10/10. Staff was welcoming and acknowledged me immediately upon entering.

Their selections are great and they even have the menu of what is “off top” surrounding the ceiling. A+”

The people were so kind and one worker gave my friends baby a hat 💚 All in all great welcoming environment and yes you get served by a Granny at Granny's. That cute little lady was too sweet🥰

Lastly we got 2 full breakfasts with additional corn beef hash as a side, biscuit n gravy as a side and cheese grits as another side. We also had coffee and I had hot chocolate. The bill was less than $40 very affordable.”

“Just a walk up hole in the wall. The two servers that were working were very helpful and extremely personable. We had the butter pecan ice cream and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream. Both were delicious. We then could not resist the funnel cake that they drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and topped with whipped cream! A definite must go!!”

“Ordered the barnyard dinner for my family (whole chicken, BBQ, choice of 2 sides and either rolls or hush puppies). We had the fried okra, macaroni salad and of course the hush puppies. Everything was delicious. Consistently excellent food. Staff were very professional and friendly.”

“My boys and I had dinner here on Saturday after the music festival. There was a short 15-minute wait to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. Our server was wonderful, and on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything, and refills were on the table before we were out. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the raspberry margaritas are the best I've ever had. Definitely going back on my next trip! Best meal we had on the Island this weekend!”

“Went on a recommendation and glad I did. I can't explain it exactly but this pizza made me feel nostalgic. Excellent all the way around. Generous with everything. The sauce slightly sweet and perfect. I had a pepperoni and sausage slice. Can't wait to have a fresh pie. They are heavy handed with the cheese so let them know if you dont want a lot of cheese. Seems like their baseline is my vision of extra cheese. Still I'll ne driving happily from downtown to scratch my pizza itch. Very good.”

Kat was not only super knowledgeable about the menu, but also shared awesome insight on local history and things to check out around town. She made my morning! “My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!”

“Had a reservation for a beach bonfire, but Kim contacted us early in the day that beach nourishment had changed the usual vibe. She was so kind to call, sent a photo of current conditions, and gave us the option to cancel. We did cancel the bonfire but we went for drinks and apps. What a great vibe! The lounge was decorated for the holidays in the best way, fun music, fantastic bartenders, and a lovely view. The new cocktails were delicious- between the 6 of us we tried most of them! And the carnitas nachos were perfect. Our group was really happy we went & we will definitely be back.”

“wow. this is easily one of the best places i have ever eaten. we got mozzarella sticks that were very good and cheesy with homemade marinara. i got a burger and literally one of the best burgers i ever had. todd was extremely nice and welcoming, and brian was very quick and accommodating. i will definitely be coming back.”

“I’ve visited Majik Beanz several times over the past five years and love the local vibe and its convenient location. But the downside of many local coffee cafes is staff not having or not following proven recipes. With MB I have found a couple of times a staff member was either clueless or free-styled their chai latte recipe with the end result being an undrinkable beverage. I love supporting locally owned coffee shops and will visit MB again but please train all new staff members on recipes.”

“This was about a 10 minute walk from our Carolina Beach condo rental at Sands V. Very easy to get to if you're staying anywhere on the oceanfront.

We had a full moon the night we ate here so the atmosphere was perfect. I didn't care for my lemonade or mahi sandwich, but my wife's fish tacos were great. And the fries were perfect. Also liked my son's chicken tenders -- really easy to share.

The best views will be from the Tiki Bar. But anywhere on the deck is perfect.”

“Service great, food just OK. The restaurant is small, and the bartender covers the table service as well. Everything was hot and served together. I had the teryaki chicken with pineapple, and while the chicken breast was cooked well, it really would have benefited from a marinade or dry spice rub, as it was cooked, rather than the pineapple slice and sauce just put on top... Zero depth of flavor. My wife had salmon and. said the flavor was good. While I wouldn't seek out Olde Salty as a destination restaurant, I would eat here again in a pinch.”

We hosted our wedding after-party at the Silver Dollar Rooftop in mid October and it was absolutely perfect! Mitchell, the manager, was incredibly easy to coordinate with—he checked in on our drink preferences the week of and even offered to help coordinate food. We ended up bringing in our own food, and the Silver Dollar team worked seamlessly with the pizza place to make sure everything was set up and ready before our guests arrived.

We had the entire rooftop deck to ourselves, which was amazing and provided tons of space for our ~100 guests after the wedding. Downstairs was still lively with karaoke, but they went above and beyond by letting the bridal party jump the karaoke line, which made the night feel extra special.

The service was fantastic, the vibes were spot-on, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They truly made it as personal and stress-free as possible. We really appreciated how easy they made everything from start to finish.

This is already one of our favorite bars in Carolina Beach—you truly can’t beat the karaoke vibes—and we would recommend the Silver Dollar Rooftop 100 times over. Thank you for helping make our wedding night unforgettable!”

“This gem of a taco place happened to be right down the road from our Airbnb. Everything we ordered came super fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Had a large list of restaurants to try while in Carolina beach for 5 days but had to make a second stop at Nollie’s. Spicy margs and the mahi mahi tacos were so good! My wife loved the “Full Monty” with different queso and salsa/pico dips and chips. Loved everything about this place!”
