“I’ve loved Saltfish on CB for years, but the new owners have really kicked it up to a whole new level. I hate to make it more difficult to get a reservation in this cute little tiki bar, but I gotta sing their praises. The service and food have gone from ‘really good’ to ‘omg I’m gonna dream about this meal forever’. I’m currently obsessed with their scallops- they’re served with a stunning curry sauce, fragrant rice, fresh citrus slaw, and Maduros. It’s a beautiful meal and perfectly executed every time. Last night we got the coconut shrimp app, the scallops and their chicken katsu, and then finished it off with their homemade rum cake with candied pineapple and fresh whipped cream. Everything was just incredible. They’re staffed better than they used to be- service is quick and friendly. Expansive menu of tiki drinks. Definitely recommend reservations even in the off season- it’s a tiny spot with limited seating. 10000/10 definitely recommend this little gem.”

It's a rough day for my family and we couldn't have asked for a kinder, sweeter, or friendlier group of locals. The Pelican family went out if it's way to make us feel loved and welcome, to the point of tears. It's a memory that will stay in my mind as among the truest examples of the Christmas spirit I have ever experienced. Thank you 💚”

“Great little stop. Don't expect a sit down experience but for the prices, there's really nothing to complain about.

We got the 2/5$ hotdogs and they were delicious. Given the wait time (nothing crazy), you can tell they make the hotdogs as they're being ordered and not having the dogs sit until someone buys one.

It's a great little place to stop by for something quick and on the go. Will definitely visit this place again.”

“We've been to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk so many times but never stopped in to try the gelato. SO glad I stopped in this time. The young lady working the counter was so friendly, she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. The store is bright and clean, they have items/souvenirs for sale. The gelato is beautifully displayed and the flavors are clearly marked. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options. I chose the chocolate oreo for myself and the sugar-free strawberry cream for my husband. I was taking the gelato back to our rental unit, so she offered full-size spoons or tasting-size spoons and napkins, and asked if I needed an insulated bag. The gelato was smooth, creamy and delicious. We will definitely stop back in again on our next trip to CB.”

“Just a walk up hole in the wall. The two servers that were working were very helpful and extremely personable. We had the butter pecan ice cream and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream. Both were delicious. We then could not resist the funnel cake that they drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and topped with whipped cream! A definite must go!!”

“My husband and I were celebrating our 18th year anniversary and we randomly picked this restaurant because it was close to the house. We were not disappointed. When we got there we had to wait a bit for our table but had so much fen meeting and chatting with the hostess and one of the waitresses. I forgot how nice the people of NC are considering we come from DC and the service was TOP NOTCH. They were out of mozzarella sticks that night but we got the bang bang shrimp and it was delicious. The Pear Martinis were delicious and refreshing. Not sure if I remembered the waitress’s name but she was fun inviting and on her A game. When we left the waitress gave us a card and when I got home and opened it was so touched by the fact that everyone had signed it. Needless to say we closed out the place that night and the following night went back because the experience was so nice. The next night they remembered us and we known as the favorite couple. Made our weekend special. The girls and staff and amazing.”

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!”

“My boys and I had dinner here on Saturday after the music festival. There was a short 15-minute wait to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. Our server was wonderful, and on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything, and refills were on the table before we were out. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the raspberry margaritas are the best I've ever had. Definitely going back on my next trip! Best meal we had on the Island this weekend!”

My mother and I dropped in for lunch after the beach & walking the boardwalk. It was refreshingly cool in there, temperature & scenery wise. A small place, with not much seating, but they made it work! We shared the pick 2, got flounder & shrimp. Not too shabby for the price. (Only one shrimp wasn't deveined) OH, great jams playing ?

Parking: There's street parking or a few different lots to choose from (depending on how far you want to walk). Paid, ofc. Peak season, get it early!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. View was great. And parking was free.
The end of the pier is in disrepair, but there is still plenty to hang out on.

“This gem of a taco place happened to be right down the road from our Airbnb. Everything we ordered came super fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Had a large list of restaurants to try while in Carolina beach for 5 days but had to make a second stop at Nollie’s. Spicy margs and the mahi mahi tacos were so good! My wife loved the “Full Monty” with different queso and salsa/pico dips and chips. Loved everything about this place!”

“This is one of my favorite spots to grab a bite on the Island. The menu is awesome. I highly recommend that you stop in and try the new Wild Ranch Wing Sauce. In my opinion, it is the best around. The staff is very friendly and always makes it a top notch experience. Keep up the good work Pop’s!”

“Haven’t been able to stop by here in a long time - probably two years at least. Nothing has changed in the best way possible. Phenomenal coffee, warm and welcoming staff, comfy place to hang out, and there is cool art work, jewelry, and other items for sale. The owner is behind the counter regularly. She is kind, and funny, and she makes the best coffee I’ve had in NC. Highly recommend!”

We went inside and the workers told us they were closed in a couple minutes and the machine had been turned off. 10 minutes later, the young guy working had found us walking and brought my husband fresh squeezed lemonade.
