“Refreshing Lunch Spot with Great Food and Service

On a random Tuesday while out adulting, I decided to stop by Maiz Agua Sal for a late lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is refreshing and modern, with the tree at the entrance being a standout design feature—it sets a great tone for the dining experience. We were seated immediately, and the service throughout was superb. Our waitress was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu, making the experience even better.

The complimentary chips and salsa were a hit, and the peanut salsa was a pleasant surprise. Trust me, don’t knock it until you try it! The guacamole was incredibly fresh, and the tacos were delicious. Their 3 for $10 taco special is a great deal, and each one was packed with flavor. I also tried the Huarache De Tinga, which was absolutely delicious.

I almost forgot to mention the churros—a perfect way to end the meal! They were a sweet, satisfying treat that tied the whole experience together.

Although I was only there for lunch, I’m already planning to return to enjoy their drinks and check out the cool fire pit outside. Maiz Agua Sal is a fantastic spot for great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!“

“Excellent service is a rare thing to find these days, but the Southpark manager, Sharon, and our server, Allie (sorry if misspelled) hit it out of the park Monday night. I had a crazy request, and she and Allie not only fulfilled it, they exceeded my expectations and we had a PERFECT date night evening. The food and the wine were amazing, and I will definitely go back again even if just for the truffled cheddar! It's exactly the kind of place you go when you want to chill, visit, and enjoy a nice glass of wine.“

We left with somebody and somebody told us it was really good since somebody said it was really good, but nobody was there. “We experienced Dean’s Italian Steakhouse in Charlotte in 2023. I was with my parents on a work trip of my dad’s. We were worried as we didn’t have fancy clothes with us but they made no issue of it and treated us like anyone else. Exceptional service and food. I’m writing a review today as one, I sadly had forgotten the name of this restaurant but just did a reverse image search of the dinner rolls and found it. Two, my fiancé had just taken me to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant in Kansas City the other day expecting the same amazing food if not better as hello, it’s Gordon Ramsey (we watch all of his shows) but sadly it very much disappointed. To the point I was almost in tears as I was so excited to finally try a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and have my fiancé experience top notch food and we both didn’t care for most of it, especially with how much our bill was. Now I wish so much there was a Dean’s close to us like in Kansas City so I could bring him to try actual amazing food in such a beautiful environment. I will always recommend Dean’s Italian Steakhouse and say how much better it was for us than Gordon Ramsey.“

“Capital Grille is a staple in Charlotte. One of the only restaurants to consistently deliver amazing food and amazing service over the many years we have been eating here. Last night went above and beyond. The card & decorated table for our anniversary, along with the rose and dessert, were so thoughtful and truly meant a lot. “Solid coffee spot. There’s a decent amount of space inside, but it does get packed. Parking’s easy plenty of spots which makes it convenient. I grabbed an iced vanilla latte it was good, not my favorite, but solid. 4/5. I’ll need to come back and try the food.“

“My husband and I tried Pizza Baby East based on a mention in Axios. When we arrived at 12:45 the place was packed but the staff greeted us right away and made us feel that they were happy we came and that we'd be served as soon as possible. Our food took awhile but it was worth the wait. We both had a Roman style "slice" which was a large piece of delicious focaccia topped with chicken, rosemary and hot honey for him and a house slice topped with delicious Italian sausage for me. We enjoyed our lunch very much and will be back.“

Parking: I always go in the garage there’s never any spaces in the lot.

Kid-friendliness: It’s a wine bar, not as much. There is lovely outdoor seating I’m not sure how strict they are.“

“We went to Dressler’s tonight for my husband’s Birthday. We had never been but wanted to try it since we loved their old Dogwood concept. Michelle was our waitress and truly made the evening so special. She was so knowledgeable around the menu and so attentive and fun. The food was exceptional. I had the waygu flank special and he had the 16oz ribeye. The shrimp appetizer was a great way to start and the apple crisp was a perfect ending to the meal. We were so excited to see the manager from the old Dogwood concept working there. She is so great too. Thank you for having such an amazing space that can make nights so memorable.“

“I stumbled upon Exotica at an India Food Festival in Charleston, SC. I’ve been on an Indian Food kick so I had to go see what this festival had to offer. Exotica had an impressive spread of food that was well displayed esthetically and from a food quality and safely standpoint. I’m a kitchen manager and caterer so that stands out and matters to me. They had the longest of a lot of long lines which told me it should be good. I was right. It was top notch. They far exceeded my expectations for the event. I didn’t know what most of the menu was so I looked everything up while I waited and made a list on my hand. My favorites of what I chose were the Samosa Chat, Onion Samosa and the Madurai Malli Dosa. Everything was amazing though. Sooo many flavors!! I’ll definitely be going to their restaurant the next time I’m near Charlotte. 10000% Now that I look at the full menu I see so much more that I need to try. Definitely a happy little accident finding this gem. 20/10 recommend :)“

“I fell asleep for a second in those comfortable red sofas. And it's a nice place.. I didn't know Bohemian people were pale...silly me, it honors the heritage here. Some of the pictures on the wall look a little scary. The food was good per my constituents. I didnt eat since Im vegetarian and there were no options for me except french fries. They offer some of the smallest chicken wings I have every seen in my life but everything the crew ate was delicious (they said) it was just a really small portion for the price. Service was fine. They had 2 different music genres playing, one inside and another out on the rooftop. Bathrooms were nice. I like the building. It had a elevator man who pressed the buttons to get us to the correct floor. Bright lights clear glass walls, fancy chandler on the main floor of the building...definitely a fancy vibe.“

We sat at the bar and had to flag someone down to get service each time we wanted more drinks. No one came to check on us and when we did get the bartenders attention they were rude. The bar was not packed. Two guys were standing behind us while we were sitting at the bar so I told them they may get better service by going to the other end of the bar…and my theory was right. Bartenders (about 4 of them) had no customer service. The only people that were pleasant was security and the girl who brings the hookah“

“A mystery. Outstanding ambiance, looks and feels like nice casual cafes we ate at in Milan and Tuscany. Once inside can't believe it's in an outdoor mall in NC. Friendly service. Chicken marsala with mushrooms as good as it gets. Hearts of palm salad not on many menus but was delightful. The customers seemed to be enjoying a relaxed, quality dining experience without the pretense of a fancy place or buzz of a large busy place. The mystery-why was it only half full on a Friday night?“

“We had such a good time at Room Service last weekend. The weather was perfect for sitting outside on their patio. We started with cocktails and they did not disappoint. The French fries with brisket was so good I could have eaten two... but my friends made me share!! The sandwiches were yummy too. We finished off with a decadent browned butter vanilla cheese cake with a cinnamon cream on top. All in all, it was a great meal in a fun atmosphere. We'll be back.“

“Dolce Ristorante is a neighborhood gem! It was our first visit, and the Restaurant Week menu offered a variety of great options in each category. Our servers, Francesco and Maria, and the staff were welcoming, attentive and helpful. Although they were busy, we didn't feel rushed. It was great to see several families of different ages enjoying themselves. The food and beverage was delicious, with ample portions and a lovely presentation. Based on the demand, on a very warm day, we hope that the owner might consider enclosing the covered patio. We really enjoyed the experience, and we are looking forward to returning!“
