“The food here is very affordable and good for the price. I never wait more than 5 minutes after getting there to get my food. Service is prompt but not always friendly, though it's understandable because the staff seem to have their hands full. Decoration is sparse but not unpleasant. Overall very cozy and a good place to eat.“
“I love Smokey Bones and there’s not one close to me so I stopped by this one while traveling. Our waitress Ashley was so sweet and amazing! The food was excellent and there weren’t many people in so we got our food super quickly. I would definitely recommend!“
“I had not planned on visiting but saw a video at the nearby Petty Museum, where both Kyle and Richard were at this restaurant for the interview and recommended it highly. Also overheard a couple of the workers at the museum were going there for lunch. Supposedly well know for their hotdogs. Maybe I had too high expectations after all of this but the dogs were OK. Definitely though, worth a visit for their nice down home hospitality. Next time I go, will try their burgers that the order taker recommended.“

He was very knowledgeable about the menu and also sold us a beer we never heard of, Daryl’s signature “Lipstick on a Pig” and I forget the other. It was close to closing however he did not rush us out, kept a smile on his face, and even helped a server who was busy. Great teamwork and great overall experience! We will be back. “This was my first time and I was a little skeptical but it really was good... the spaghetti was amazing, the pineapple salad was oh so good, the fried cornbread yes. What I didn't like was the mashed potatoes with gravy..you could tell they were instant and the sweet tea could be a little sweeter. Lindsey my waitress was amazing..very friendly and explained everything. It did kinda freak me out to turn around and there was someone outside the window staring at me. It is a cash only but I will definitely be back..“
“Some of the best ribs I've gotten in a long time! My family was just passing through and needed a quick bite to keep trucking down the road and this was perfect! Super friendly people despite it being a million degrees outside and they were set up right next to a farm stand where we picked up some local peaches and cantaloupe at a good price. I feel like I was let in on a local secret community, it was awesome! You should check them out! Thanks for the yummy lunch, we will be back whenever traveling through!“

“Oh that was some good food I love everything they have even the stuffed grape leaves they are the best. And I got baked spaghetti and a salad comes with it and ranch dressing and a price of toast. And ice tea I got the senior side so it would not be to big for me to eat as I don't eat as much as I use to and I don't want to waste it. But it all was great my Sunday school teacher s Birthday that day .It's a great place to have a birthday where they song to you and that my friends makes your day. Saturdays and Mondays you can get two full meals for you and a friend for $27 total. You both get an entree, 2 sides, bread, dessert, and a soda. Can't beat that price - it's honestly just as cheap as fast food these days and you won't leave hungry!“

We waited a while to be greeted by our server while other families who were sat after us were helped. BUT, once we received service Cody was AWESOME ! Second, when you see a table with four local police officers, you know it's gonna be good!With that said, the quality of food is very good and portions for the price are amazing (bring a wheel barrow)! Seriously, we ordered two meals and there was enough left over for a very full third meal. The hush puppies and shrimp were very tasty, but the shrimp could have been bigger, they were just bay shrimp. The chicken was stupendous, warm, juicy, tender and flavorful. I will definitely go again next time I am in NC!Update: Woops, I guess I missed the drive-thru quietly hidden in the backside of the building. Even though this classifies Smithfield's as a full-blown fast-food restaurant, I actually find this positive. Here's why: The fact that I did not detect any classic signs inside or out signals a desire to keep the atmosphere a bit more classy and comfortable. “My favorite thing so far is the chicken sandwich and the hot chips. Tastes home made and a large portion. The dining area has a lot of potential. I’m the type of person that goes places not only for the food but for the atmosphere. They have some cute decorations that make it fun and unique like the pictures, records, and vintage tv. It would be cool if there was more of that. I really think this place could be the spot with more decor and some drinks (at least some beer). Climax really needs it….lol.“
