“Mint is the best restaurant in the Boone/Blowing Rock area! The food is fantastic, most ingredients from India. Cucumber salad and hot cauliflower appetizer, the saag options are all amazing. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. Aman is the best. He remembers us and makes us feel special plus he makes the most delicious drink - Mango Mojito. Atmosphere is nice, and to top it all off it’s a great value.”

Football Sunday this is the place Wings and great draft specials. Also if you have that family who cant agree on where to eat. This place has something for every appetite. The bar atmosphere is amazing ..shots at the bar, getting crazy or just chilling with some boonshine chatting over a beer. Also didn't see any news channels! politics are not in this restaurant its all about good times and a good meal. These folks got it right...love the staff. If you go please order the buffalo wings and homemade Bleu cheese...and order a lasagna my Gosh, if you put the food on your forehead, your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get the food”

On our second trip to Boone, we pulled up to the café and were struck by that déjà vu sense of comfort an immediate excitement that confirmed we’d found one of the High Country’s true gems. This was our second visit, and once again Hatchet proved itself to be among the best coffee purveyors in the region. The line was long, but the anticipation only added to the ritual; after all, we had a 45-minute drive ahead to Grandfather Mountain, and good coffee was non-negotiable. At the counter, the staff embodied the kind of hospitality that makes a place unforgettable. The cashier was warm and attentive, quick to ask questions when she didn’t have an answer, and genuinely excited to help. I had come to swap ground beans for whole, and while the exchange wasn’t possible, they graciously sent me home with a bag of Brazilian beans instead a gesture that spoke volumes about their passion and care. Despite the bustle, the wait was brief, and the atmosphere remained convivial. One of the baristas even struck up a conversation with me about my jacket, a small but meaningful interaction that elevated the experience beyond the cup. Hatchet Coffee is more than a café it’s a community hub, a place where quality and connection meet. With its exceptional brews, thoughtful staff, and welcoming spirit, it’s the kind of spot you’ll find yourself returning to again and again.”

“We took a road trip on the Blue Ridge parkway. We found this place and figured we would try it for lunch. Let me say how impressed my wife and I both were with the delicious burgers we got. “I was very disappointed. Usually their pizza is excellent this was over cooked and not well made. We ordered it from a delivery service have my granddaughter got a flat bread pizza that she couldn’t even eat she said it was disgusting. Just a suggestion maybe you want to use the mini chocolate chips in your cannolis I think they would be much better than trying to eat the big ones with the cheese mixture. At least they were good. Their house vinaigrette was very good at least I enjoyed the salad!”

“We went to the Peddler this evening to celebrate our anniversary. We haven’t been to the Peddler in over 30 years, but are so glad we decided to go tonight! My husband had the filet and I had the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly! Service was incredible and so professional. We will definitely be back! “Loved the mother daughter weekend R&R all inclusive retreat. We enjoyed yoga, meditation, massages and short hikes. Food was good. Room was nice and clean but a little warm (no AC). Only complaint is the yoga equipment room smelled bad, like dirty socks. Yoga mats, pillows and seat backs were noticeably dirty and no one wiped them down after use. It was a major turn off and hard to overcome with meditation but we tried. I came home with Covid.”

“This Subway is the only store I will go to in town because it is clean and the employees are awesome. I accidentally ordered through my app and somehow the location got changed to Wilkesboro and when I went to get my subs they didn’t have them. The manager Hannah looked at my phone and told me what was wrong so I called the Wilkesboro store and ask them to cancel the order and they told me they couldn’t cancel it. Hannah overheard my conversation and she came over and asked to speak to them about the situation and whatever she said it worked because she told me they would be giving me a refund. Two minutes later I got a message saying they canceled my order and they refunded me also. I got in line and placed my order again. I watched Hannah with other customers and she was so sweet and kind to every single customer. She apologized to me for the problem I had. I noticed the other employees were just as friendly and polite and they all were super fast. This is what a great business is looks like. Great team work and an awesome manager Hannah helped me out when she didn’t have to. I will always stay loyal to this store. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and great service.”

“I visited this Starbucks location Thursday evening after a very long day of classes and work, and was absolutely thrilled by the service I received from "Mads"! I had no intentions of stopping by Starbucks as I was just hoping to pick up some essentials for dinner from the grocery store; But am so glad I had the time to do so. Mads recommended a drink that I can now say is easily my favorite drink of all time. I am pretty picky, but she took the time to hold conversation with me, and made sure to come up with something she thought I would love. The drink was made quickly, and was delicious. Other customers around me seemed very happy as well. I was very happy to have met Mads and be around her bubbly, driven work personality! I will be back for sure!”
