“We stopped here while visiting the area. I was really impressed by the food and service! We both got cheeseburgers. We had to wait awhile, as they were busy, for our food, but it was worth the wait. Our waitress was very attentive and it was affordable, as well. Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I went for dinner. There were dishes that were amazing and some just ok, but overall a great meal. The service was lackluster. The views and atmosphere make it a pretty amazing experience. Next time we’ll try to get a room before it books up.”

“I just had the BEST Italian food! Arancini, ravioli with plum alfredo sauce, cheese pizza and garlic rolls. The sauce is indescribable! Ravioli was like pillows and the plum alfredo was a perfect blend of marinara and alfredo. Great service from Reggie. Paul delivered our food and he said the marinara recipe was his Grandmothers!”

“The atmosphere is gorgeous. The creations are true art and the staff are kind. They have everything you could want, including hand sanitizers and complimentary mints. Unfortunately they do use single use plastics which seems partially wasteful due to packagings with knives, forks, and spoons - but that's perfect if you get a treat that requires that, we only ordered an ice cream cone... The size is huge so one can be shared between people, and the ice cream is perfectly soft and cold. They have limited ice cream flavors but so many toppings and choices that make it tastey. 10/10 will come again. Also, the decorations are intricate and beautiful. The music is nice too, very broad genres so anyone can sing along, but also not too loud so you can still have conversations. :)”

“I adore Hatchet! Such a cute spot and the drinks are always great. I always stop by when I'm in town to try new flavors. I have enjoyed their matcha in the past and recently really liked their honey bee latte. Would recommend the avocado toast, very flavorful and they do not skimp on the avocado. The people there are always super nice and provide good recommendations. They also have a lot of spacious seating and cute merch, as well as products from other small businesses. Definitely worth a visit!”

“My favorite breakfast in Boone! Their bagels are always fresh and delicious, their drinks are tasty, and I absolutely love their breakfast potatoes. My boyfriend lives out of town, and when he comes to visit, we always have to come here. I like to get the Asiago bagel, and he's a fan of the Everything but the Kitchen Sink sandwich. Have been here several times and am never disappointed.”

“Stopped in for dinner and had the honey chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and tender, the spices added a little heat while the honey added a nice bit of sweetness to it. Would definately recommend the Hatchet coffee stout. Our server was great, she had good recommendations and was very attentive. It was a very good experience and I would certainly recommend stopping by for some delicious food and beer.”

“Quaint little diner nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains with the most delicious fried pickles I've ever tried. Crisp, hot, flavorful and served with house made ranch for dipping. The burgers were fresh and juicy, but didn't feel heavy or overly greasy. Our server was welcoming and prompt, and to top it off the prices were fantastic. Will definitely be going back again”

“Loved the mother daughter weekend R&R all inclusive retreat. We enjoyed yoga, meditation, massages and short hikes. Food was good. Room was nice and clean but a little warm (no AC). Only complaint is the yoga equipment room smelled bad, like dirty socks. Yoga mats, pillows and seat backs were noticeably dirty and no one wiped them down after use. It was a major turn off and hard to overcome with meditation but we tried. I came home with Covid.”

“Went here last night and had a great time! Staff was super helpful, and our server Axel was amazing. Food came out quickly and he did an excellent job of checking in and making sure we were taken care of.The pasta portions are HUGE. The shrimp fettuccine Alfredo I got was fresh and delicious. And the bread they bring out is so tasty. Will absolutely be coming back here on our next trip to Boone!”

“Bartender went out of his way to provide detailed descriptions of each beer sample and was very friendly. Every beer we tried was delicious and pretty unique. The vibe was laid back and conversation with regulars was an added awesome bonus. All in all, we plan to stop by any time we are in Boone!”

“Loved everything about our experience tonight ~ wait staff was attentive, personable, knowledgeable and on point!We loved watching them work as a team to make sure everyone was attended to.My husband chose a 22 ounce ribeye, cut table side and it was grilled perfectly and that speaks volumes because he is a Pittsburgh-style, Black and blue, cold in the middle snob when it comes to seared rare steak. The salad and sides were wonderfully paired as well. The wine list was impressive, as they carry my favorites Cakebread Chardonnay and Camus. It is very easy to understand why this family run jewel is such a staple in Boone. As restaurant owners we can definitely see the effort and personal touches on everything. Take a bow - you have impressed us.”

“We had the Birria Tacos that were amazing. It was extremely busy so there was a bit of a wait but the staff is hardworking and kind. The parking fills up fast so be patient :)Parking: The parking circles one way around a tight lot. We had to wait in a line of cars and until someone pulled out to pull in a space.”

“Had to have our Rehearsal dinner in a park because of covid. So glad we chose CR Catering to bring the BBQ meal of pulled prok, bourbon chicken and sides. Everything was delicious, not and portions were ample. Would definitely use them again.”

“Cute diner in the West Jefferson area. We typically go to Hillbilly diner but they were closed Presidents’ Day weekend. Coffee House diner was a great alternative, the hash brown were the shredded kind and perfectly done, slightly crispy. Delicious biscuits bacon and eggs. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.”

“Always good. Basic chef, no entertainment, but that’s just a piece of the whole experience.Vegetarian options: I get vegetables, which are cooked on the same grill but steamed to the side. You can’t be too picky here so I don’t recommend if you have very strict food guidelines.Kid-friendliness: Especially when the chef is an entertainer, this is the best place. There is usually a fire flash that surprises most small kids but only lasts a second.”
