“My husband made a reservation last night on Rezzy, but the restaurant had no reservation for us. We went to another restaurant and tried to be seated without a reservation, and finially returned. The owner hostess sat us immediately. It was fun being in the old Greyhound bus terminal, all the lives that passed that building! The service was fantastic and team focused! I had we had argula salad, with juillianed watermellon radish with dates and hazel nut nuts- Amazing. we had Pita bread with pramasean cheese, moutain trout and hanger steak with crispy potaos. All was delicious but the dish that topped all was the olive oil cake with blood oranges and basil. so unique- not sweet, an amazing refreshing combination of flavors I'v not expierenced before. Top grades to the chef/owner. I love that this is a couple running a restaurant, totally want to support that! GO!“

“Before reviewing the restaurant you should know that tickets to the Biltmore is REQUIRED on the EXACT day as your reservations for entry. We had lots of activities planned on the estate totally $$$$ over our 5 day trip. However, we did not have grounds access on the EXACT day of the dinner reservations. Just know that you will have to have a Biltmore entry ticket for everyone in your vehicle on the EXACT day of your dining reservations which is in addition to the cost of dinner. Just plan for access and dinner to be a small fortune.
Now that the logistics are out of the way, the meal was a culinary delight.
Mario was exceptional from our initial introduction. He was funny and engaging. The Dining Room had just introduced a new fall menu of fall combinations and flavors. The menu was carefully crafted to wake up your taste buds. Each and every course was beautifully prepared and presented.
Mario was an absolute delight. He matched the vibe of our group. We were celebrating a hip youngsters 80th birthday on a special girls trip to Asheville. A bucket list trip for our birthday gal. Mario made our birthday honoree feel very special.
We were still talking about this dinner the following day. We all agreed that Mario made the evening fun and special.
This evening will be long remembered after our trip ends.
A note to the Biltmore and restaurant. The restaurant was not full and its peak season in October. The entry cost of a grounds ticket on the EXACT day of dining is a turn off. I think if you paid entry to the estate within 7 days, and produce a ticket, you should be allowed entry. In our case we had a two day pass and many activities planned on the estate on Sunday and Monday, but our dining reservation here was Thursday. It was very upsetting after all this money already spent to have to pay again. I'm sure other resturants and shops would love the tourist dollars, but its completely a turn off to have to continue to pay for grounds tickets.“

“Small and quaint; clean and calm old school place, a house turned into a Tavern. The staff was friendly. We did not eat so cannot rate the food but what food was prepared smelled delicious, we had a soda from a can.
We were able to play pool without interruptions. The pool table is coin operated.“

“Love love love! Ate here for a cute birthday outing with my boyfriend and parents and I loved it. The sangria was refreshing and the complementary bar nuts were super tasty! The waitress was friendly and prompt. We also ate dinner and it was very good. We shared the charcuterie and I got the turkey club and thoroughly enjoyed both. When the waitress found out it was my birthday, she asked what dessert I would like, on the house. I had the BEST chocolate chip cookies with ice cream. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the mountains and some wild turkeys.“

“Yes recommended, BUT… We are just a couple of locals who have enjoyed coming here periodically since they opened to support local food and beverage and to see the changes as they happen. We stopped in today and it was the worst experience we’ve had there. We were just stopping in for a drink at the bar and since there was a seat available for us, didn’t think it would be an imposition. Not only were we made to feel imposing at the door without a reservation (not required YET for the bar), but after being greeted by the bartender with “be with you in a moment”, no one ever again so much as looked at us for 20 more minutes. Watching the obviously flustered and untrained BT look at a recipe card to make Moscow mules for people who arrived after us, we decided it was best to just call it a night. I’m sure we’ll give them another try, at some point, but just be aware if you’re not staying at the hotel you may have issues. Disappointing, given the considerable investment the owner has and continues to make in this venture.“

“Leigh, our Server was terrific. She engaged my two teen daughters and baby boy as part of the table so effortlessly and provided top notch hospitality-a true professional and great representation of the Vanderbilt family’s legacy of Hospitality and Biltmore brand! Ordered the Roasted Vegetable & Farro dish and it was DELIGHTFUL as well as the Smoked Salmon Dip, hearty Pot Roast and the kids LOVED their Salmon Entrees! 10/10 would recommend, ask for Leigh :)“

“Visit on holiday package. Breakfast was fabulous well plated and delicious. Thanksgiving dinner was plated in an unappetizing manner with food smashed up in domes next to each other with cranberry sauce ( not good for diabetic)poured on top of everything. everything was lukewarm and gravy had no flavor. I requested a new plate and received 2 plates with everything in separate bowls still lukewarm. Felt like a snub from the Chef for commenting on plating. Lady next to us had a beautifully plated steak. If you can't do a well plated turkey dinner don't offer it as an option.“

“The Sierra Nevada brewery is awesome! First off the facility is absolutely fantastic. It’s large but the building and the entire campus are immaculately clean & well kept. It still looks brand new. The tour itself was excellent providing great historical content & insight into their state of the art current operations. Following up the tour with a visit to the Taproom restaurant is a must. The food is phenomenal & the service is top notch. Finally, it was so enjoyable to finish the day with a beer on the patio. I give the Sierra Nevada brewery tour & Taproom my highest recommendation. Can’t wait to take other friends for a visit.“
