“My family has been using The Cupcake Shoppe for my kids' birthday cakes since 2018. They do an incredible job, every time! The cakes/cupcakes are always so beautiful, and they taste amazing, too! Arlen, the Front of House Manager, is so kind and helpful. This bakery is extremely professional, but has that small-town charm at the same time. If you follow them on Facebook, the shop lets you know about their daily or weekly specials. When I need a pick-me-up in the middle of the week, I love to stop in for a cookie, a croissant, a cupcake, or a muffin! They are a treasure in downtown Raleigh!“

“One of my favorite bakeries in Raleigh. They have a good variety of baked items made daily. Yellow Dog is really popular so everything is always freshly baked. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Seating inside is a little limited but they do have outside seating if the weather is good.“

Why is it so difficult to slice the bread.

Previously, they’d do it after 10 am.

Now. You’ve to wait 1 day (which there is never any leftover… EVER… and I want it fresh )

“I had a gift card given to me some 1.5 years ago, and just today made my way to the store! Felt adventurous and was craving some tropical fruits. I was blown away by the variety of exotic fruits, and the extensive choice of fish. The store is, certainly, a cultural experience! My 10-year-old and I each got a smoothie - mango and pear, but I feel curious about many of the other drinks and desserts that I’d love to try. We went today May 27th and we left my sons tablet near the cashier. When we called asking if we had left it behind they answered the phone super quick and they were super nice about it. “This 5 star review is for Jessica in the bakery. I was there one Saturday and talked to her about needing 48 cupcakes for the following Saturday, and I wanted a mixture of chocolate and vanilla. She asked the reason for the event, and I told her it was dinner for my son that had gotten married. She offered to make them “special” and SPECIAL they were!! She decorated them so pretty! It was not the average looking cupcake. She tile me she would personally decorate them for me. She was not there when we picked up, but I hope someone will tell her about this review! And we were asked more than once that night, “Who did the cupcakes?” We gave the Walmart bakery a shoutout!! We told them to ask for Jessica if they ordered. I also want to say I just love William the greeter. He makes me smile every time I see him, even if I am having a bad day. I only have one complaint, but it’s not just for this Walmart so I will not reduce my 5 star review: WHY in the world does Walmart not take Apple Pay?? Even Dollar Tree has Apple Pay! I do not like using my card. I prefer to tap pay with my phone. Someone needs to take this one to the top and get it changed. But great job, Jessica and William. You make me want to go to this Walmart every time, and I’m situated between 3 Walmarts fairly equally in distance. I’ll choose Clayton Walmart over Knightdale and Smithfield every time!!“
