“I don't know what's in that chicken over rice sauce... but it was good. They're generous with the sauce so if you're not a big sauce person, definitely ask for it on the side. The hot sauce was interesting too, it had a gochujang-type base that gave it a nice sweet kick. I'd definitely come back. And if you're hungry, go ahead and get the large.“

“I love the steak tacos, however, lately the steak has been too tough and really difficult to chew. But I order it every time. The only other complaint i have is the traffic in the very small parking lot. If my steak gets softer, I'll change to 5 🌟. Overall, good food at reasonable prices.“

“Walked up to this food truck and was immediately greeted by amazing smells! The gentleman working the counter wasn't overly talkative but that's fine, the man was focused.I ordered a Caribbean shrimp quesadilla, a jerk chicken eggroll, and a strawberry lemonade.The quesadilla was good. The shrimp was cooked nice but there wasn't a lot of volume to this quesadilla. Just cheese and shrimp, not a whole lot of flavor for me. All quesadillas are served with chips and queso, big bonus for me! Then the eggroll, these things are MASSIVE! An eggroll stuffed with Cabbage and jerk chicken, wooo these things packed some heat but they were delicious. I split the eggroll with a friend of mine who couldn't stop raving about the jerk chicken quesadilla and the eggroll.I gotta say, if you're looking for some delicious jerk chicken or Caribbean food, give this food truck a try!“

“15/10 would recommend! I was in Raleigh for a week work trip, and ended up here multiple times to eat. Ms. Patty the chef, and face at the counter made the experience that much better! She was kind, as homey as the food tasted, on top of it and boy, can she cook! You can taste, see, and hear her passion and love for food! I love some good BBQ, and prefer to support a small business vs a mediocre chain, and am SOOO glad I stumbled upon this place. Yes, it's a resturant in a gas station ; which always tend to be the hidden gems (IYKYK). This place did not disappoint. The pulled pork sandwich was TOP NOTCH. Those hushpuppies on the side were soo good. All the sides looked sooo good; I struggled to decide on which ones to choose: mac n cheese was cheesy and dreamy, baked beans were packed with flavor, the slaw paired perfectly on the sandwhich, and the broccoli salad was also super delicious!! I wish I could of tried every side, next time I am back in the area, I will be coming back and trying more. The brisket on Thursdays, also sooo delicious 😋. Price point was great, I would easily pay more than I did for what I got and how tasty it was! For sure finish your meal off with the banana pudding 🤤 this place is a hidden gem, and Patty too! “The Depot on First has been open since October 2023 and since then has simply excelled as the only fine dining restaurant in the area. I think much of their success is based on the fact they not only maintain consistency in areas such as attention to detail, exceptional customer service and quality culinary experience, they also continue to evolve and adapt to changing tastes, trends, and customer preferences. I enjoy seeing their ongoing tasting and intimate dining events, of which I will have to attend at some point. Another cornerstone of success for many restaurant's is Authenticity, and this Farm-to-table restaurant continues to prioritize authenticity by sourcing quality ingredients directly from local farms and producers. They don't take any shortcuts when it comes to freshly prepared food to save time which is why I will wait patiently in the elegantly decorated intimate, warm and inviting dining room for my entree upon every visit. No Rush! Just me bring me another perfectly prepared old fashioned. Stopped by and ordered two sundaes tonight. Both of them had the wrong flavors in them. Like, not even close. We ended up throwing them away. “Possibly the best empanadas I've ever had. I had the Southern and La Tumbada. Both were amazing but the La Tumbada was super good, with the pico de gallo and avocado. The shell is fried to perfection and adds a complement to the flavors within. I'll definitely look for this food truck again!“

“This is a really solid local taco truck that serves great value taco plates. I usually get the steak tacos sometimes I'll get the chicken or Pastor/Carnitas and occasionally Barbacoa. My favorite is the steak though. They give really nice sides of Cucumber and Radish along with salsa and the food is energizing, healthy, and it digest well at a great price. Much better option than mainline fast food. The shrimp tacos are great too!“

“I had a great experience at Fat Boys Shack in Wake Forest, NC. The food was delicious, and the customer service was a 10/10 from the moment I walked in. My tenders were fried hard just the way I like them without even having to ask, which was a pleasant surprise. The lemonade was also very good and refreshing. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Shoutout to the manager on duty, Paige Terry, and employee Tiara Spence for providing excellent service and making the visit even better. “What a pleasant surprise! I was getting tires across the street and just happen upon this place. No joke, the chicken burrito I got was really great. Easily in the top 3 Mexican food trucks I visit in the entire Raleigh area. It could easily be the best, just depends on the taste you’re after at this point. Definitely try it out. “The tacos were wrapped in soggy tortillas , as if they been cooked a few hours ahead. The asada meat was dry and tasteless. The flautas were also wrapped in soggy tortillas. Just look at your food before you get it. But their horchata was pretty good. All in all I would recommend going to the other taco stand across the street from them. 5/10“
