“I’m obsessed. Best Peruvian restaurant I’ve been to in NC. Well priced for the quality and authenticity of the food. I’m Peruvian, so my standards are high - and I am so glad I found this gem on my road trip. I had the ceviche carretillero which was perfection. If you can handle a little spice - you’re gonna be licking your plate at the end. The maracuya sour was divine and the pisco wasn’t overpowering which is just how I like it. I live 2.5 hours from here and I’ll be back. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. 10/10. Hickory, y’all are lucky to have access to a restaurant like this. “This was our first time at Tex’s Seafood. The young man Cody who was our waiter ensured we had everything we needed. He was the kindest most mannerly young man we have met in a very long time. Josh greeted us at the door and was also our server and he was absolutely awesome!Duke’s has an extensive wine list with so many great choices.The ‘regular’ menu as well as the specials had so many wonderful selections. I had the house salad with blue cheese dressing which was fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the Caesar salad which he loved.For dinner I had the crab cake served with asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes and julienne squash and everything was so delicious! There was so much food I brought half of it home and I can’t wait till lunch tomorrow!My husband had the sushi grade tuna with fried rice and he loved it.Included with our meal was a lovely dessert sampling , (delicious and just the right size) and we left so satisfied but not stuffed.Go to Duke’s! “I haven't been to a captain d's in many years. I had an unpleasant experience at one and couldn't go back. I was so wonderfully surprised at t this place. The did was fresh tasting and hot. We had the senior plate, and that was enough for us and a good bargain. The crew was very nice and the dining room was clean and comfortable.“
“We had been waiting for perch to be back on the menu and it did not disappoint! As always, the food was delicious! The salad bar is a star all by itself, and everything we have ordered has been great. The grilled salmon is especially top notch. We came for a late lunch on Sunday, so we only waited a few minutes for our table.All of the servers are attentive and friendly. It's a 25 minute drive for us to this restaurant, but worth it every time!“

“This is not your regular Mexican restaurant. They primarily have seafood. The food was great and the portions are very large. The dry ceviche (instead of salsa and chips) was good, but all the salsas were too spicy for us. I'd definitely come back, as they have a good variety of dishes to try.“
“Our cousin brought us here for lunch after a morning of shopping. There were 9 of us with 4 of those being kids. I wasn't sure how this would go. We were seated outside downstairs, and there were plenty of things to keep the kids occupied while waiting on the food. The best part was that the kids' food came out first!!! That is a huge thing for parents of young children. After they finished eating, they again played while the adults finished and could easily see the kids playing. Our server was fabulous as well as the food! As an out of towner, I would definitely recommend stopping by.“

“We waited longer than seemed necessary for our food. Our server was more interested in sitting and visiting with an obvious regular (one of the other servers also sat and visited with him) than she was in waiting on us. She tried to give our food to another table, but luckily they told her it wasn't theirs and we were the only other table so it was easy for her to figure out where it belonged. The food was good, although slightly cold, and the portions were large.“
“We order from China King quite often and highly recommend them. Their portion sizes are plentiful, always fresh, hot and prepared exactly as we ordered. Our favorite is their sesame chicken combo, which comes with fried rice and an egg roll. For appetizers or just something light, the wonton soup and crab rangoons are amazing. The staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. My only complaint is that it’s not really an inviting place to go inside to sit down and eat.“
“Excellent service and food! Our server Shayna was very attentive and friendly. She ensured we had everything we needed and made recommendations to us. She continually came by to make sure are drinks were filled and to see if the food was to our satisfaction. Excellent customer service. Upon this visit we had the pleasure of meeting the Manager Jose who also was very friendly and had Excellent customer service. “Had early Saturday night dinner there. The atmosphere was quiet and hardly any patrons. Even so, they sat my Mom and I in a booth directly next to the stacked up children's high chairs nook. It was not crowded at all, so wondering why we got what is probably the worst table in the house. The food came very quickly and was undercooked. We are nice ladies, so we didn't complain. 3 stars at best.“
