“My first time going there, I ordered myself a flounder plate with ff & hush puppies. ( which I love me, some flounder). The flounder was too dry, with it being fried. The breaded of it was coming off from the flounder, which I just ate the fish part of it. The Cole slaw was ok. The hush puppies weren't so bad that they were only 4 that were given with my order. Maybe this will be my last time going there. I need to find where Mayflower is located!“

“Solid seafood place, the food is consistently good. Big portions, friendly staff, and an ok atmosphere. The only cons I have are the fries and soft drinks. Go for the tea or water, and pick a side other than fries (I might have just gotten a bad batch but the majority of my fries seemed over cooked) overalll the seafood was great and that's what this place is about!“

“Fantastic Loco Moco, just be sure to get the rice under the meat and gravy, not on the side. It's about the presentation and also the gravy soaks into the rice better but they put my rice on the side for some reason? Other than that, I highly recommend this place.“

The food was absolutely amazing, love they have the healthy options like turkey bacon. My grandson had the Salmon burger guys this was SO good! My breakfast was plentiful and the potatoes are the best I’ve ever ate! It is hidden inside of the Renaissance building, straight back past the elevator and to the left! The service was great, the atmosphere was great! We will be returning!“

“impulsively had dinner here with my husband and niece on new year's eve, and we had such a fantastic customer service experience i wanted to share. i first called and inquired on if there was a wait, which there was not. when we arrived, they remembered that i had called and we were sat immediately. unfortunately, i cannot remember the name of our server, but he was absolutely phenomenal - easy going and professional, and very attentively listening. my family has very specific texture and dietary needs, and he answered all of our many questions very patiently and thoroughly, which i truly appreciate. he was attentive with checking in with us without being overbearing. i also did not feel rushed by him at all, which i also really appreciated.

the atmosphere was warm and lively. there were large groups, so it is quite loud, but that's just part of the vibe. whatever radio station they had on was so good and i really enjoyed listening to it. we all enjoyed our food and had an awesome time. i felt that by doing small things, charbar went above and beyond, particularly on the night of a major holiday. we greatly appreciate everyone on staff that evening for a overwhelmingly positive experience.“

“Our waiter was rubbing some girls' hair and scalp for 3-4 minutes before coming to serve us. two of our party of 5 were there for lunch. the waiter did not wash his hands and we were disgusted. we did not say anything as I decided to make a written comment at home. He also did not write down our orders saying he had been doing this a long time and didn't need to write down the orders. My friend and I were not happy about him rubbing the friend's hair and scalp in front of customers. thank you“

“Came from miami to visit family and also visit this restaurant. They didn't have any inside seating but the outside seating area was nice with a TV. The service and hospitality was very nice and the food was amazing. You gotta get the jerk chicken and Philly cheese steak egg rolls to start. You also gotta try the uptown henny lemonade they have 4 different flavors to choose. The lamb chops are very small and wont fill you up but very flavorful. The bourbon salmon was amazing as well as the beef flank. The gratuity is already added into your check which was unusual but whatever my bill was $240 minus the gratuity but the server was patient and friendly. Ill definitely be back for this good food on my next visit.“

“I ordered the beef lo mein, and as the store name implies, it "taste good".
I called in my order and arrived about 10 mins after, I was quoted an oddly specific time of 7 mins. However, when I arrived I waited about 10 more mins for the food. That being said, it was fresh so I'm not complaining.
The lobby isn't what you would call inviting or necessarily clean. The menu is old printed paper with typos but they also have the classic menu at the counter. See attached pics.
They do try to distract you from the 90 health rating with a decoration hanging in front of it.“
