“Our wait to get a table was a long one as the place was packed… and it was totally worth it! We’ve been staying on Hatteras Island for about a dozen years and we’ve hit a lot of local restaurants in search of excellent seafood. Dinky’s tops the chart. Genuinely fantastic food AND staff. I have a feeling this will be an annual stop from here on out.“

“Friendly staff, good food. Fair prices. I would go back and probably enjoy it every time. We tried to go for dinner because Google and the website said they were open. When we arrived they were closed. Traveling by some other nights, it was still closed. Maybe the offseason messes with the hours of operation.“

“The food was delicious and the drinks were good. We had clam chowder that had a lot of flavor and clams, coyote oysters, the fresh catch tuna as an appetizer and the tuna appetizer on menu. These were great. The crab mac and cheese was not good, it had very little seasoning but it had a good amount of crab.“

“We were not happy about the 2hr wait, but with the winds coming off the water, it was actually a pleasant evening. Dinner turned out to be amazing. Our server, Julia was upbeat and set the pace with her suggestions on the menu. She did not disappoint. The Rockefeller twist was delish, and the steamed shrimp out of this world. Whatever you do try the specials! The yellowfin tuna was fresh and light and so delicious. Crème brule and chocolate flourless cake ended the evening. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but it was WORTH the wait. We would do it again. If you’re in Hatteras, it’s a must visit.“

“Wonderful dinner and so delicious! We decided to have a bunch of different things from the appetizer menu and share. The blackened scallops were amazing!!!! The staff were very attentive and the food came out fast! Definitely will be back next time we vacation down here!“
