“My son requested Crumbl cookies for his birthday, so I decided to try and place an order to quickly go and pickup curbside. However, upon trying to check out, I am asked to tip the bakers. I already have $27 worth of cookies in my cart and you are asking me to pay more; to your bakers?? The tip options started at $5 went to $10 and then “other”. If I didn’t want to tip, I assume I would have to hit “other” and then put a $0 in? That seems rude and then I worry about the quality of my food! I decided to drive there and place an order inside, and fortunately was able to attain all of the different flavors. The ladies working there were very nice and prompt but the owner needs to pay them a fair wage and stop asking customers to tip them for doing their job. These cookies aren’t cheap to start with!”

“We have been wanting to visit The Blind Pelican for a while, and finally took the plunge for my husband’s birthday. This trip will absolutely not be our last. The place was packed on a Tuesday night (it’s not a huge space, especially in the winter when outside seating isn’t available, so plan accordingly). Our wait time was exactly what the hostess promised, and service was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. All staff were phenomenal and checked on us while we were waiting as well as once we were seated. The staff aren’t overly attentive, which we love (they checked on us enough to be helpful but otherwise just let us enjoy our meal). We obviously HAD to try the crazy fun bloody mary’s. They were delicious - exceptional bloody mary’s, and all of the food on top was perfectly cooked and a joy to eat. I had the Taco Tuesday special - lobster tacos with a mango salsa that made me do a happy dance, and my husband had the steak and scallops. Everything was so good and worth the price, in my opinion. Quality seafood can be pricey in central NC, but worth it! The bloody mary’s are obviously a novelty item - but the quality was so outstanding that I would actually order one again (which is saying a lot as I figured it would be a one and done). I can’t wait to go back and try all of the other items on their menu - including some fun drinks & apps we didn’t have room to try this time. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will be glad you did!”

“I love this place. Food is excellent serve is good. atmosphere is good .It is clean . The ladies restroom is clean but one of the toilets has p*** on the side and its been that way for at least 3 weeks.”

“Although I have enjoyed all that I tried at this establishment the scones and tea are what love most. They are often extremely busy on the weekends and evenings so the volume can climb however it a historical landmark so that is understandable. This is a tea room although not a traditional tea room so go try it out and enjoy the experience .”

“Pretty nice place when we visited. Our server was super nice & gave us our space to enjoy our meal in peace instead of being pushy & crowding us the entire time like they do at other restaraunts.
The food was great & honestly better than we were expecting it to be. The cheese bread alone had us planning our next visit.
As a great bonus, the sweet tea actually tasted clean & like tea! instead of like straight dirt, which says a lot to the folks who get tea with their food.”

“I am from NJ and I gave up on finding good pizza in NC. We had family (from up north) visiting and we were sweating when everyone said “let’s order pizza”. I knew we couldn’t order from any of the other 10 places we’ve tried since moving here, so we threw a Hail Mary on Cristo’s. Everyone raved about the pizza, they were still texting me the next day about it. If you’re from the north and are looking for pizza that tastes like home, this is it.”

“Mama Bird’s Ice Cream has lots of flavor choices including several vegan/non-dairy ones. I tried the Vegan (non-dairy) mint chip in a small cup. There were also choices of sugar cones, homemade waffle cones, or waffle bowls, and ice cream sandwiches made with homemade brownies or cookies. The small was a nice sized two scoop portion. Loved it! The staff was very nice and answered my ingredient questions (allergy issues) and offered a sample to customers.”

“This place must be the most undiscovered treasure in fuquay. My partner is an ice cream connoisseur, yall he's got his own ice cream maker, and he said this is some of the best ice cream he's had in a long time! I agree. He and his daughter got 1 scoop of pot of gold and i got 1scoop of cookies and cream. it's a very creamy ice cream and not too sugary! That's not even why I'm writing this review. We just each had a 1/2 chocolate chip cookie we took home and OMG it's perfect. they also had real maple sugar and coffee which was an added bonus. we will certainly be back!”

“I am a photographer and recently photographed a rehearsal dinner here! It was a great experience! The staff welcomed me as soon as I arrived and I honestly felt like ‘one of the family’! The event space was perfect! We had room to mingle and the lighting was wonderful for my photos! The decor and colors are great and added to my images perfectly! The food was amazing.. the staff and service perfect! If you are looking for a place to hold an event, do not hesitate! “I'm originally from the Chicagoland area and love Chicago Deep Dish. No one does it right. The crust is usually super think and the toppings, especially the cheese, is far too sparse. ACME Pizza... you guys literally made me get all teary eyed with the first bite! I was back home again after 20+ years of missing my hometown pizza, I was home. I had to drive over an hour to get to you, but I would do it again! For those of us who miss home, this is definitely a warm tasty slice of home comfort food. Now if you guys ever create a parbaked pie that my hubs could pick up on the few occasions he has to travel to Raleigh for his job so we can have the fresh out of the oven taste when he gets home. . . You would make this former Chicagoan very happy.”

“My favorites here are the Mediterranean pizza (it has eggplant, which is wonderful when prepared properly), the garden salad with Greek dressing, and the stuffed grape leaves. In fact, everything I’ve gotten here has been excellent! If possible, order on Slice, DoorDash doesn’t have everything on their menu. This is my go-to restaurant in Holly Springs!”

“I want to give a shout-out to the serving staff at Smashed. Our teen son and some of his high school soccer teammates have been spending a lot of time practicing at a local field and then walking over to Smashed for lunch. As previous hospitality workers ourselves, we've taught our son to tip well, but I can imagine servers are hesitant when they see a group of teens sit in their section. Our son has said that every time they've gone (3x in one week, lol) the staff has been welcoming, attentive, and fun. Thank you for providing everyone with a pleasant dining experience!”

“🤩 This is now my top 3 favorites around here! Ordered for the first time tonight, but was skeptical due to having it delivered (UberEats). Let me just say, those were the best tasting burgers we've ever had! I ordered a Perfect Burger (m,k,mu,chs), hubs ordered the Cowboy burger (jalapeños added a nice little 'nip' he said), our 10yr old got the Carolina Burger (added fried egg and no slaw) that was impressive! The chili seemed to have a dash of relish in it- amazing! And our 2yr old had the kid's cheese quesadilla. ZERO complaints. My son says he wants this everyday forever. Loaded fries were really crisp & flavorful. I had the onion rings and DAAAAAAAANG they were possibly the best batch of onion rings l've ever had. The pretzel bites were good/average. Nothing very overwhelming compared to the flavors of everything else we had. I loved that they avoid adding the cheese to the fries for delivery orders. Received a considerate amount of Queso and was flavorful & not bland at all. Our to-go delivery was extremely well wrapped & packaged. We will 100% be return customers. Thanks for such a great meal!”

“My husband and I enjoyed dinner here. He had the mushroom Swiss burger and I enjoyed a burger with barbecue sauce. We both got the impossible burger substituted and I had a gluten free bun. For vegetarians they also have a black bean burger. Definitely visit this establishment because it is a great burger joint! Also clean restrooms.”

“I ordered my pizza between lunch and dinner on a weekday, was done in around 15 minutes. For the price it was fantastic. Solid cheese pie, thin crust and slightly heavy cheese. The garlic sprinkle was the perfect amount to make it smell great and make the crust pop a little without hurting the pizza.”

“I have to give this place major kudos for its great food, its fast service and its overall customer service, especially when it has to deal with people coming in with large and ridiculous orders. I witnessed there today a woman before me who had the most tedious food order that I've ever witnessed. She was ordering for her entire family (around 5 or so people) and every one of them had some nuance about what veggie they didn't want in their order or how specifically they wanted the meat cooked. The cashier did her best to get it as right as best she could and even the woman placing the order admitted that she was a pain in the butt. Hey, if you are that picky about what you DON'T want in your hibachi order, how about you make it easy on everyone else, place the order and then pick out what you don't want yourself!”

“This was the first time I ate at Firehouse Subs. And it was excellent! I believe one of the finest Sub restaurants that I've been at. A tad bit more expensive than, say Subway, but it was certainly a lot better”

It is lovely to see how the staff gets along and shows that it helps them work more effectively. The politeness is outstanding and the smoothie are a great go to after a workout or even just on a nice sunny day. So happy with this establishment.”
