“me and my boys stopped at mcdonalds after church Wednesday night and I truly believe the Lord was smiling on us. 🙏 The fries were HOT and fresh, the Sprite was so crisp it practically healed my seasonal allergies, and the sweet young cashier called me ‘ma’am’ with such respect. In a world full of darkness and negativity, it’s nice to see a place still serving families with a smile. My youngest even said his chicken nuggets looked like little angels. God is good!! ✝️💛 Will definitely be coming back after Bible study.”

JD’s saved the day, making food to feed my almost 100 people guest list. It was ready on time for pickup. Food was hot, delicious, & fairly priced. Best bbq in town, we’ll definitely be back!”

“Met my boyfriend for our first date here 3 years ago. Just recently moved back to this area, was looking for a chill coffee spot. Went here once by myself. Neat spot, good atmosphere. We sat inside. The cashier stared at us the whole time and asked us to hurry. They told us we had a limit of an hour inside. We didn't question it and left. This was 3 years ago. Could of been my new favorite coffee spot. Have not and will not be back.”

Despite the bustle, the staff remained composed and welcoming. I was greeted with big smiles, and when it was my turn to order, I was treated with patience and attention. I gave the barista the freedom to create something special, and she took the time to craft a drink that would delight my taste buds, rather than simply preparing a standard coffee to get me out the door. She sent me on my way with a delicious Reese frappe!”

“I just love this little bakery. They are always welcoming and so sweet. I love the whoopie pies they make. My favorites are pumpkin and oatmeal. Both are soft and filled with vanilla buttercream that is smooth not broken. I also love the little banana bread loaves moist with chocolate chips and pecans, only thing I wish they were much bigger. We will be bringing our grandson to play putt putt soon. What fun! Support home town, it’s so worth it!”

They opened the door for us, were more than happy to pour us a beer, and let us sit to enjoy the atmosphere. We always loved this place when we lived in Hickory and were very satisfied with our service during our return visit. Highly recommend!! Delicious beer and excellent service.”

“A hidden gem. It is not a sit in restaurant but the food is excellent. I love their desserts. My personal favorite is their livermush sandwich with slaw, onions and mustard. I dare you to try it. How do you all make the livermush so crispy. I can't do that at home without burning it.”

“Staff was SUPER friendly...i ordered several items like 9 minutes before close and instead of just saying sorry were closed they made the order AND waited till after closing to give me my order...thats above and beyond and the staff is great for doing that...i kno how much it sucks to get orders right at close and no one complained or even made any snarky remarks...that says alot about their professionalism and quality of employees...they run an excellent store and that among many other reasons is why I will continue to some back and recommend this location to everyone!!!!!”
