“me and my boys stopped at mcdonalds after church Wednesday night and I truly believe the Lord was smiling on us. 🙏 The fries were HOT and fresh, the Sprite was so crisp it practically healed my seasonal allergies, and the sweet young cashier called me ‘ma’am’ with such respect. In a world full of darkness and negativity, it’s nice to see a place still serving families with a smile. My youngest even said his chicken nuggets looked like little angels. God is good!! ✝️💛 Will definitely be coming back after Bible study.”

The cashier stared at us the whole time and asked us to hurry. They told us we had a limit of an hour inside. We didn't question it and left. This was 3 years ago. I gave the barista the freedom to create something special, and she took the time to craft a drink that would delight my taste buds, rather than simply preparing a standard coffee to get me out the door. “I just love this little bakery. They are always welcoming and so sweet. I love the whoopie pies they make. My favorites are pumpkin and oatmeal. Both are soft and filled with vanilla buttercream that is smooth not broken. I also love the little banana bread loaves moist with chocolate chips and pecans, only thing I wish they were much bigger. We will be bringing our grandson to play putt putt soon. What fun! Support home town, it’s so worth it!”

Huge shoutout to Jordan, who was both our bartender and the manager on duty. He was absolutely fantastic—super knowledgeable, welcoming, and somehow managed to keep the bar running smoothly while still making us feel like VIPs. If you're lucky enough to catch him behind the bar, you're in good hands!

The Fanny Pack Hazy IPA is dangerously good, and the Carrot Cake Stout is basically dessert in a glass. The pretzels with beer cheese hit the spot, and the whole place has a relaxed, friendly vibe—perfect for hanging with friends or just chilling on the patio.

“A hidden gem. It is not a sit in restaurant but the food is excellent. I love their desserts. My personal favorite is their livermush sandwich with slaw, onions and mustard. I dare you to try it. How do you all make the livermush so crispy. I can't do that at home without burning it.”

“It was so fresh! Nothing being warmed for hours in a hot pan... This was all made fresh. Crispy fried Pork Eggrolls were my favorite from today! Hard for 1st favorite right behind them with the prok noodles. The flavor was out of this world! Fresh soft noodles and I didn't need any sauce on these. We did receive 6 sauces with our order, all of which were very tasty. Crab Ragon were so crispy and very full filled! The dessert egg roll was AMAZING! The Boba tea on point with several flavors! Priced just right! Very friendly front of the house man, who explained the answers to all my questions about the food and drinks with a smile! . We will definitely visit again our next trip to Hickory!”
