“We had been in town furniture shopping and were looking for an early dinner before we headed home. Southern Roots was amazing. The atmosphere and ambience was great kind of a chic beach theme going. Our server was great she was very attentive and helpful. When my wife was having trouble choosing between 2 wines she brought her samples of each to help.My wife had a glass of wine and I had a spiced Manhattan that was on their drink specials. The Manhattan was great best one I had had in a long time. Bartender was nice enough to show me what she used so I could replicate at home.We had a rosemary half loaf for an appetizer and it was very good not overpowering but the bread and the rosemary butter complimented each other.We stuck with sandwiches we had a steak and cheese wrap and the billy bob sandwich. Fries for one side and cole slaw for the other. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Fries were solid and the Cole slow was a mayo base and alot of liquid which we like. The billy bob has a Fried green tomato, gouda pimento cheese and bacon. It was really good. If I came back I would have a burger with the Gouda Pimento cheese because I loved that and think it would compliment it well.Loved the visit and dinner and will definitely be back when we are in the area. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked great and we now have a number of other items we are looking forward to trying.“

“We have been trying different Greek/ Mediterranean restaurants in the area and this place is by far the best! So delicious and not outrageously priced. Everything was correct in our to-go order and the fries even stayed crispy and fresh. Will definitely be back!“

“Literally the best ice cream I've ever had. The first waffle cone I got was chocolate moose tracks and bourbon brown butter. It was so good I had to go back the next day and get another cone. This time it was key lime pie and mint moose tracks. Key lime pie was probably my favorite. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!“

“We celebrated Kasidees (my daughter) 5th birthday here at Odeh’s with some family and it was AMAZING!! The staff and food is always so good and they make it a point to make our girl feel so special including the wonderful owner himself Odeh rescuing not ONE, but TWO run away balloons for Kas!! “Went with a friend to try some crepes. Lovely atmosphere, large menu, lots of coffee and tea options. The (I'm assuming) owner was very nice, and the woman at the register was sweet and put up with our indecisiveness lol. I definitely recommend this place, and I will definitely be coming back. “I am a Greensboro fan with so many good local eateries to choose from. Freemason Grub & Pub is no exception.The signage is challenging in the dark, but the exterior green lights likely leftover from St. Patty's helped identify them. It's an adorable two story brick with wonderful character. Parking is off street or in their own small lot in the rear.My wife and I cut our arrival a bit close after 830 with a weekday closure of 9. The interior offers a cozy vibe with wood floors, exposed brick and dimly lit dining room . The bourbon bar is the centerpiece. With closing in 20 minutes the restaurant was mostly empty.Our friendly waitress Bella was on top of drink orders. I ordered an Old Fashioned utilizing Makers bourbon with a banana flavor profile. It proved to be outstanding @ $14. Bella encouraged us to try their bbq which they are known for, we ended up both getting the Cherrywood Brisket. My wife with side of Cesar and me side of cup of chili for $1 up charge. The recommendations really made the difference.Bella brought the food out within 15 minutes. Temperatures were correct. The brisket was magnificent. Tender with fat to meat ratio. The house sauce was perfect with a slight kick. The cup of chili was yum with Navy Bean and frito corn chips on top that was unusual. My wife agreed with my assessment on the brisket and her salad was fresh.We finished out splitting a butterfinger pie which was good size for the share. It proved to be mighty tasty and not a crumb was left.Our bill was brought to us in a timely fashion to close out. Since we were out of town Bella suggested a few other local places. “How have I not written a review of the Sage Mule until now?! We love this place and my only complaint is that they aren't open more hours ha ha ha. This is simply one of our favorite places to go eat outside at. They will almost always have the outside seating available, which is really rare here in Greensboro (sadly). The staff is always friendly and the food is always good. Our go-to is the blue plate special for brunch but you can't go wrong with their brisket and any number of other specials.“

“Amazing coffee shop with nice vibes in downtown Greensboro. So glad I stopped in. Top notch customer service actually offered for me to taste test the coffee brew before I buy. Wow! “I think we got them on a bad day, the truck wasn’t ready when they said they’d be open (3) and we waited a total of 30-40 minutes for them to set up and prepare our corn dogs. The corn dogs did end up being overcooked but the flavor was still pretty good! We did not get any sauce offered though. I hope next time we go we can give 5 stars! :)“

“I like to just come to Oden to chill out on a rocking chair and have several beers. The exterior space especially is hella awesome, and they've invested in a lot of fire pits and heaters for it so that the whole premises of the brewery can be utilized year round. Train tracks are to one side, and Gate City Boulevard is to the other. Not everyone thinks of roads and railways as things of beauty, but then again, they usually don't think of arteries and veins as articles of rapture either. They are though. Each headlight that passes by in the night is a luminescent corpuscle, and inside the cab of each car or the cabin of every train carriage is a package of energy called a human being. Every one of our lives, although they last for but an instant in the vast overpowering rush of nature, is a chance for the universe itself to revel in its own existence. I'm not sure if there's a God. Are my hemocytes sure if I exist? I've had several beers. Here be a good place to rock.“

“Our first time and really happy we stopped in. Fresh food, great menu, good prices. I really want to come in for the breakfasts. Had a taco salad: Yes the old school way with a tortilla shell. The cookies are a perfect, soft, and chewy texture and the custard is so creamy and flavorful. It was a huge ice cream sandwich! I could only eat half and saved the rest for later. “This is a solid pizza place. The menu is unique and the food is well prepared. Prices are a bit high for pizza and they don’t carry any Coke/Pepsi products but an off brand soda that we didn’t try. Service left something to be desired — friendly enough, but could have been more attentive to our table especially when there weren’t that many other people in the restaurant in the mid-afternoon.But, overall, it’s worth a try! Recommend the salad that I can’t remember the name of but it has honeyed walnuts on it that are amazing! Plus the chicken on the pizza was excellent!“

My wife is very picky about food trucks and she said it was so clean you could probably eat off the floor! Quite an endorsement, right? “This was the first time visiting since it turned from Thai to Mexican. The food was good and had a very complex flavor. I had the soup and it was great. We stayed for a little longer than most guests. They didn't seem annoyed, but continued to check on us. I love the atmosphere it was very colorful and made a great backdrop for the restaurant.“

“I've been here about 5 times with slightly different experiences. The first few times we went, had the BEST service and more than amazing food. The last two times, not bad, just not what I had become used to as their standard. Photos are from my most recent visit with some work friends. Service was decent, but the sandwich I normally get was not quite the same. Also being someone who loves potato salad, theirs is a pass. While I no longer live in the area, so you couldn't call me a regular anymore, I still love Westerwood. Here you can find friendly bartenders who feel like friends. A variety of draft beers, affordable liquor pricing, and a cooler of cans & bottles. It's very likely you'll be able to find something that hit the drink itch you might have. Over the years it's gotten brighter and cleaner inside but it's still that perfect homey drive. If you're in GSO looking for a bar to call home, don't skip over Westerwood. “I got the mango green tea with double popping boba. It was really good. The green tea was blended well with the mango syrup. I will definitely be coming here again. I think I waited for about 2 minutes and my drink was done. The place also was really nice and they had a nice sitting area. They were also playing K-pop which was fun for me to listen to while I waited for my drink to be made.“

The menu boasts everything from IPA to Kolsch. They even make their own labeled and bottle wines! “I can not rave enough and say enough good things about Mario and his Espresso Martinis! I have had many an espresso martini, and have had many in the triad people “claim” are “the best”. Well in my opinion, Mario’s Espresso Martinis are THE BEST in the triad!!! They’re smooth, delicious, dark (none these creamy, light, bullcrap), and the game changer for me, is that he gets the foam on the top PERFECT and it STAYS the whole drink it doesn’t dissipate at all. Mario himself also just will make your experience here a fantastic one! He’s so personable and his customer service is also as top notch as his Espresso Martinis! Can’t say enough good things! I have a Dram location closer to me in Winston, but I will drive to the Greensboro one, about 50 min from my house to get Mario’s customer service and Espresso Martinis over anywhere closer to me if I have the choice!“

Excellent establishment and would highly recommend.Original post -On March 17, 2024, my wife and myself ordered a Brux IPA and a bourbon lemonade. The total was $17 incl tip. My credit card was charged $30. I raised a dispute with Chase and they credited the excess amount back to me. I am happy I got my money back, but a little annoyed that the establishment, Joy Mongers, gets to keep the money that was over charged by them. I called the establishment, but it goes to voice mail. Pretty sure they would say "dO yOu HaVe YoUr ReCeIpT..", which I don't, because who even keeps receipts anymore...Anyways, the establishment is nice, hold on to your receipts to avoid my situation.“

The food is very good, and they have some unique things that stand out - recently they've change their menu to be a little less unique which is a shame but I understand the need to make business decisions and it seems like everyone in town has changed their menu this past winter. The service is always friendly although they always seem a bit understaffed which means their servers are working pretty hard sometimes. We frequently go to Porterhouse for birthdays or in other small groups as they have something for most people and are fairly priced.“

“This is hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had! The meat was a great quality and cooked beautifully and the staff were incredible! Even the plain white rice was something to be excited to eat! We ordered the pork in garlic sauce which was absolutely amazing and stole the show! “Singha is hands down our go to take out or dine in Thai. We don’t just come here for the food, although it is the best we’ve had (not joking. We are tough critics). We come here for an experience. The wife and husband have become like family. They know our kids, our orders and our preferred seating as soon as we walk in the door. The ambience is quiet and we instantly arrive in a better spirit. We have taken friends and family here with us and each time they are grateful for experience and leave so impressed. “I have loved Indian food since my first salmon curry dish in Seattle Washington at a small local authentic restaurant. It is both flavourful and healthy. And if you're a vegetarian it has some of the best choices. From TaazaBistro, I got the mixed vegetable appetizer and the garlic naan. it was so much food. Mostly deep fried spinach, which I've never had before and it was so well seasoned as was the samosa and paneer pakoras. I was looking for just a light dish after work and it did not disappoint. The garlic naan was good too. I only wish there were more garlic on the naan and a larger portion of the sauces.“
