“Stopped for the ice cream fell in love with the cookies. The ice cream is from a NC creamery and I recommend the Lemon Crunch 🍋 But the cookies are a blessing for your taste buds. “Out of all the great places my husband and I visited, this place was a must go to! We visited this place for their amazing shave ice TWICE. It would have been three times, but their customer lines can be very long. Can you blame them?!? The shave ice, no matter the flavor, captures the juice liquid so well, it melts in your mouth and is not overbearing. You don't even get brainfreeze! The ice is truly shaved. Not chunky or snowballed at all. Two thumbs up! We will visit this place AGAIN and AGAIN next year.“

“Our family discovered Coastal Creamery this vacation and will now be a regular stop every vacation in OBX. We went to Costal Creamery more than we went anywhere else. We tried to go to our normal ice-cream shop just once. The kids were not having it. So we left and went to Costal Creamery. Their ice-cream is the best! Plus the service was excellent.“

“My dad loves his ice cream. I was hoping he would like it. He gave it a huge thumbs up. Amazing staff. Really good ice cream! Wonderful laid back atmosphere. We went after my dad's birthday dinner. There were a lot of us. The staff very helpful and patient with us taking our time. We had to take our time because there were sooo many choices. My sister Angelie asked for a shake they had never made before. He said he would try. She loved loved the cremesicle shake. I had chocolate and strawberry ? shake one of the best I've had. The prices were more than fair. We hung around and enjoyed the games they had available. My dad and aunt walked over ro the beach. We will be going back.

They’re huge, and the girls got lots of ice cream, which is what they were looking for! Definitely try out the fudge-infused ice cream (I can’t remember the name). It’s SO good. “Absolutely delicious fresh hot donuts with fabulous toppings. The donut is warm so the topping gets a little melty. Oh my gosh, melt in your mouth good. It’s like a donut party in your mouth. Worth the drive to Duck just for these donuts! Friendly service. Great view even from the parking lot. Overall great stop!“

“I had a wonderful experience at Big Buck’s Homemade Ice Cream! I ordered the strawberry sorbet, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly refreshing and bursting with real strawberry flavor. You could really taste the quality of the homemade recipe. Ashley, my server, was fantastic; she was friendly, attentive, and made the visit even better with her warm personality. Highly recommend Big Buck’s for anyone craving a sweet treat, especially their sorbet!

My husband & I actually own 6 weeks in a villa from Mid February to End of March to escape the Winter snow of upstate NY. One of my MUST VISITS is this Sugar Planet! I love the variety of candies that you can mix by the scoop fulls of my favorites. They also have nostalgic candies and some I’ve never even heard of before. Don’t be fooled by the name 'Sugar Planet'. Clothing, mugs, jewelry, hats, etc. It could almost be your one stop shop for all souvenirs! I’ve been in here 3 times alone in the past two weeks! Michelle was extremely helpful as I was looking for something special to take back for my daughter-in-laws. Together we found the ‘perfect’ items! Thank you Michelle. Today there was a young man training at the checkout, Carlos, was very kind and polite. I do love this Southern Hospitality!“

“I’ve been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years. I remember getting the best burger on the OBX at this restaurant. Apparently they have stopped serving food. That is not the issue. I called up to ask if they no longer serve burgers, and was told “this isn’t McDonald’s”. I don’t appreciate being spoken to that way from a worker of a restaurant I want to spend my money at. If they can’t train their staff to have better customer service, I cannot imagine how poorly they treat customers at the restaurant. Very disappointed.“
