“Straight from the pizza palaces of yesteryear is Garden Deli & Pizzaria. Delicious pizza, great wings, and perfect mozzarella sticks are a plenty here. There is also a sweet black cat outside; a sign of the kind and skilled people who operate the establishment.”

“Poor Richard’s never disappoints—great food, chill atmosphere, and the best people. Their daily specials always hit the spot, and you can’t go wrong with a sandwich and a bowl of soup. Plus, the bartender is awesome—super friendly and always makes you feel right at home. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll be glad you did!”

“My parents live in manteo, and I usually stop by the laughing lollipop when visiting. I love the atmosphere and the people that work here are super kind. They always have a good selection of candy and ice cream, you can’t go wrong!”

“Much cheaper priced than another local place in town. The ice cream is definitely not as good as the other local place. I felt mine tasted old, like gritty. The service was friendly and quick.”

“This has become my weekly stop. I work one day a week on the island and can't wait for my stop for Dunkin'! I don't drink coffee, but they have the best hot chocolate with a little vanilla added. They also offer avocado toast with BACON, who could ask for more!
They are usually quick, always smile, and the food or drinks are as expected- hot drinks hot, iced drinks cold.”

“This restaurant has server shortages but has worked out an excellent process of high quality service and food to make up for it. You will need to order at the counter even if eating inside but they thank you for helping them with this . The salad bar is not active now but might be added back.”

“Ortega'z - what a GREAT gem! Heard about this restaurant on Guys Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; and boy, it not disappoint! The pulled pork nachos appetizer was absolutely HUGE and AMAZING! YES, all caps is necessary. We also ordered two entrees - fish tacos and also Buffalo chicken tacos. Both came with 3 tacos, and rice and beans. Everything was so delicious and the portion sizes were great! Great prices for the amount of food you receive. Oh, and the service was great also! Will be returning very soon!”
