“What a lovely restaurant, and one of the best meals we’ve had in years. The cocktails were strong, and flavorful. The fried green tomatoes were probably the best we’ve ever had— I’ll be having dreams of those. And the coq au vin was tender and had wonderful flavor. Also huge portions for what you pay for. We will be back!“

“We made reservations for 4:30 , had 14 in our group. Food has always been good but tonight's service was horrible. We had 6:00 tickets for Christmas lites & had to leave before ever getting our food. Other tables seated 15 to 20 minutes AFTER us got served. Will never recommend or go back again 😕“

“Stopped here on our first day of vacation 5/12/25. Wait staff were very friendly, service was prompt, and the food was delicious. Mac and cheese was the best I’ve ever had. The jerk chicken wrap and chipotle steak wrap were amazing and the pico with the chips was very flavorful. We would definitely come back again.“

“While staying in Nags Head my family and I went to the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. On the way we passed by Outland seafood and on the way back I decided to stop and check them out. I’m glad I did because it was the best seafood of our trip and possibly the best snow crab legs we’ve ever had! We got five pounds of snow crab legs lightly seasoned with some J.O. and steamed to perfection. I was a little nervous about the J.O. on snow crab legs but they were seasoned perfectly not overpowering the natural flavor of the crab meat. The legs were steamed so well that when we got back to Maryland and I ate the leftovers(2clusters, kept refrigerated of course)2 days later, the meat was still coming out in huge delicious pieces! I can’t wait to go back! Great food! Great service!“

“This restaurant has the classic outer banks feel. Formerly Owens Restaurant for several decades, The Captain's Table maintains the same charm and allure. The fried seafood platter was enjoyable. The Shrimp and Scallops were especially delicious. The collards were fantastic.“

“Great place to pick up an outstanding breakfast burrito. I came to eat some breakfast on the porch with my dog. Very friendly people that brought out a bowl of water for my pup and checked on me frequently. Coffee was great too! We will be back 🌯🐾🥰“

“Soft Shell Crab special was amazing! The Sugar Creek Seafood Pasta w/ fire roasted pepper marinara was excellent as well. Dinner came w/ the best cornbread I've ever had, not something I would go out of my way to order but so glad it was included with the meals! Seasonal vegetable was a fresh cucumber, tomato and onion salad, very, very good!
Ordered food to go so waited at the bar and had excellent service from Cameron (I think I remembered his name correctly🤞🏻) He was so sweet and accommodating.
Restaurant atmosphere was very nice. Beautiful sound side sunset views, interesting decor and big gift shop.“

“This was the best experience…fun and delicious! It’s worth every penny and was so easy from start to finish. Customer service was excellent and they provided frequent updates via email and text from time of booking to time of arrival. TH delivered our boil and helped us get started. He was great to work with! The seafood was delicious, high quality fresh ingredients, and huge portions for our small group. This was a highlight of our trip and we have already decided to do it again next year! Highly recommend!!“

“My husband and I went there because it was very close to our rented Cottage and the reviews were good. The food was fabulous from the start (hush puppies with honey butter) !! Shrimp with grits were very flavorful along with fried green tomatoes. Atmosphere with local artwork is a great touch. Waiter was very attentive. We will definitely return!! ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Visiting from NY this was one of the only places that didn't feel like a tourist trap. Reasonably priced menu with quality to go with it. The staff was amazing! Very well coordinated and quick with everything from drink refills to food service, its was impressive to watch and they were all lovely people Shoutout to Kaitlin (if I spelled it right lol) Very clean restaurant with everything from the condition of the tables and chairs to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Great atmosphere you don't really see or expect from a place like this. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work guys! ?“
