“We had an awesome experience at Chex Grill & Wings after visiting Beat The Bomb for my daughter’s birthday celebration! I had a group of five 10-year-olds (plus a few others), and the staff was incredibly patient as the kids figured out what they wanted to order. They even let us sample the chicken wings before choosing—huge win! The wings were delicious—especially the Strawberry Hot flavor, which is now officially my favorite! While we were enjoying our food, a man came in and sat down nearby—we thought he was just another customer, but it turns out he was the owner! He was so kind and invited my daughter (the birthday girl) and her friend to take on the 60-second wing challenge for a chance to win $50. My daughter won, and when the owner asked if she wanted to give her $50 to her friend, she said yes—and then he surprised her by giving her $100! Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. To top it all off, the staff sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and brought her a slice of cake. 🥹❤️ The avocado side salad was also super fresh and tasty. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was fast. Highly recommend—this place made our celebration so special!“

“Chex has not failed us yet! We've hadn't been to this location but it did not let us down. It's always clean and bright which is comforting. The staff is patient and polite. Our food was hot, crisp, and flavorful. I tried their burger for the first time and was not disappointed. I work down this way and am happy to have found this location... it'll definitely be on my work week lunch rotation!“

If you're looking for top-notch pizza and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Throwback Pizza! Nestled in the heart of Stallings/Waxhaw, this gem of a pizzeria left me more than satisfied.
During my visit, I tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch, Meat Lovers, and Supreme Pizza, each one better than the last, loaded with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The Everything Wings were a delightful bonus – saucy, savory, and utterly addictive.
Not only was the food incredible, but the hospitality was next level. The owner was extremely nice and even surprised us with complimentary funnel cake bites. A sweet end to a fantastic meal!
The staff and fellow diners exuded kindness and warmth, making the whole experience feel like dining with friends. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Throwback Pizza. It's a perfect taste of community and deliciousness!“

“Absolutely delicious Thanksgiving dinner we ordered! Staff helped me load to my car and it was ready when I arrived. The Turkey was smoked and my whole family loved it. The sides were very delicious as well, a lot better than what you get at the grocery store. I loved the sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce the best. Tastes homemade and absolutely amazing!! I had a large order and couldn't decide on what flavors. he brought out his recommendation and that's what I picked and it was very good and he also gave me fries and a lemonade that was really good. if I was so far away in Florida I would be going every weekend to eat. “My friend and I split the pepperoni pizza and arugula pear salad. It was plenty for 2. The pizza was delicious and the crust was awesome. I was pleasantly surprised. The arugula pear salad is awesome. The flavors are perfect and the dressing is spot on. Highly recommend this!!! My friend said the wings were the bomb!“

“Constant stream of people during lunchtime (mostly take-out) attests to the quality of their food. Philly Cheesesteak was great & the fries were hot & not oily, a sign of cooking them at the right temperature of oil. No ambience, ha, but seating was fine. We would definitely go back.“

“I had a VERY long day. At 10:30 PM I remembered Hickory Tavern's 50% off burger is today/Tuesday. Thankfully, I'm only 2 min away from the restaurant. Only 2 customers remained, and the employees were preparing for tomorrow. The manager and the staff was amazing!

“I don’t know who’s working tonight but they must be in a great mood because this is the first time I’ve ordered fries through doordash where I didn’t feel robbed by the portion they gave me. I’m going to continue supporting regardless of the french fry theft because doordashing Hickory Tavern is my favorite way to treat myself, and a little toxic has never scared me. However, it’s nice to feel like I was given a fair portion for the price for once. A win for big momma.“

“Its actually pretty good! Good price for everything we ordered. We went with classic pepperoni, complimentary bread sticks (when you download the app and sign up), and the Honey Habanero roasted wings which i didnt get a chance to take a picture cos we dug in quick!! Server was very kind and attentive! This is a sit yourself type of place also. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is dog/pet friendly.“

“I ordered the BOGO Special for 20 wings on UberEats this weekend. Before I realized where this place was a driver had already grabbed the order and was waiting to pick it up. I live in Midland, NC about 30 mins away! So, I did a custom tip for $20, for driver having to come so far. Driver delivered on time and wings, fries, and celery & carrots were very good. It's the cost you pay for not going out yourself to get what you want, and I don't mind at all. Great Job Wingdom Wings and UberEats!“

“Empire is a Charlotte area chain that makes some great NY Style Pizza. I have been to 4 locations and I think this one is my favorite. Easy to park, always clean, great service and food is always good!

“Love me a good pizza buffet! Came on a Friday afternoon and was not busy at all. Price per adult is $10 now. Long gone the days of the buffet being $5. They have salads, pasta, soup and plenty of pizza options to choose from. Pepperoni, jalapeños, Hawaiian, buffalo chicken, and their famous powder brownie dessert! All employees were pleasant and efficient. Great location with plenty of parking. Definitely coming back for sure.“
