“Nice spot in the middle of little Mint Hill. Outside seating has heat and fans as needed. Because of the proximity to the road it can be a little loud but if you know that going in, it's not really a problem. We always bring our pup so we have never sat inside but it does have a nice vibe. Service is always good and food is good as well. A large selection of wine so I feel certain that you will find something you like.....Unless you don't drink wine;-)“

“This place has NOT closed!!! They have been bought by new owners! The place looks absolutely FANTASTIC! They have more seating areas for everyone in different locations, homemade benches and tables! They redid the porches and the entire place is updated! It looks so great! The coffee even though it is not in house roasting anymore, the coffee is still amazing! Congrats on keeping it going! I am SO glad the new owners bought it! I love the Mint Hill Social House!“

“I don’t ever leave reviews, but after coming to this location twice I have too. This location has stepped up their game!! I got 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees, iced & hot. Everything turned out amazing! I usually go to a specific location further away because they make the coffee good, but after coming to this location this is my new go to. Came back again today around 1p got the same thing and food and coffee was on point!! They even threw napkins in the bag which was a plus. Whatever you guys are doing keep doing it! You guys are great!“

“I have yet to use this drive-through and not be placed in a queue to have my meal delivered, which normally takes fifteen minutes. They told me they had six pies ready when I placed my order for one happy meal and six apple pies at 7 p.m. tonight. They brought my food to the spot after I waited for fifteen minutes, but I didn't notice until I got home that they had only given me three pies. Bad encounters are almost usually had here; I wish there was another McDonald's nearby.“

“I can’t believe how good this place was. The vibe, the welcoming and smiling staff, the food … all totally on point. The coffees- we tried hot and cold- were each THE BEST we’ve had in Charlotte…no contest. No paper cups here if you eat in… coffee only as it should be served: in real mugs on saucers with decorative art in the foam that holds while you drink it. The bahn mi sandwich was light and tasty like it should be- loved the bulgogi one. The bread was beyond anything I’ve found locally. I can’t say enough to express my delight with this place… a hidden gem in Matthews that you NEED to experience!!?“

We tried both varieties and both are super! The family that owns it are the nicest and most welcoming people. I love all the little touches they have especially the coloring pages for the kids. “I stopped in for a latte and took a few pictures of their menu board since I didn't find them when I looked on YELP. The service was friendly and my drink was hot and delicious! I'd definitely come back to try other drinks and some of the pastries as well. The inside is small but clean. The outside has some cushioned outdoor furniture and market lights in a sectioned off part of the parking lot. I believe there may be a tv outside as well.“

“Anytime I am in the vicinity of Brakeman’s, no matter if I need it or not, it’s coffee time. It’s a quaint little home that they turned into a full-fledged business. The concept is locomotives, so the interior exposed brick, hard metal accent pieces, and even names of beverages all point in the same direction. The customer service is incredible and usually has the same faces, so getting to know the staff on a first name basis is very common. The bakery they contract with is a local non-profit and puts out amazing products. They also have other food related items for purchase for convenience. Where it all matters, because upscale coffee shops are white noise these days, the beans and roast are impeccable. I’ve tried a little bit of everything on their menu and the espresso is very high level. I highly recommend the Ticket to London. Pricing is on-point and reasonable considering the quality of product and location of business. What I really enjoyed, just as much as the rest of the aforementioned aspects, was the customer demographic. You get a variety of everyone in there, but yet it doesn’t feel overcrowded, overhyped, or commercialized. It’s just a good local spot with great coffee and top shelf staff. I highly recommend. Rating A“
