“Nice and chill hangout spot to enjoy some delicious banh mi! I ordered the "Our Special" banh mi, a Vietnamese iced coffee, and a bulgogi beef bun. The bread had a really nice crunchy exterior and it was nice and soft on the inside. One thing that really stood out to me on this sandwich was the pickled daikon and carrots. They were a little more sweet and acidic than I have had from other places which I loved! The other ingredients were fresh and they made their bread in house which I appreciated.I wasn't a huge fan of the Vietnamese iced coffee but this was just a preference thing. Nothing about it was bad, but I just don't have the palate for it. Mine also wasn't super sweet either, but I believe you can ask them to crank up the sweetness if you would like it to be sweeter.As I was walking out, they were restocking their baked goods shelf, and I was able to snag a bulgogi beef bun! This made me so happy as I had wanted to try one of these after seeing photos of it from other reviews. The bread was super pillowy and the meat inside was extremely flavorful. Enjoying this bun was a great way to end this food experience, and I left happy and full.“

“I stopped in for a latte and took a few pictures of their menu board since I didn't find them when I looked on YELP. The service was friendly and my drink was hot and delicious! I'd definitely come back to try other drinks and some of the pastries as well. The inside is small but clean. The outside has some cushioned outdoor furniture and market lights in a sectioned off part of the parking lot. I believe there may be a tv outside as well.“

“My daughter introduced me to the Uptown Tea Shop in Waxhaw a couple of months ago by buying some loose leaf tea for me. It wasn’t until yesterday that I went to the shop with her to see for myself. From the outside, you see a house and there are three shops inside. The quality of the decor could be slightly upgraded. The Uptown Tea Shop is in a medium size bedroom which has been converted to a little store.Here against the walls are nearly every flavor and types of loose leaf teas you can imagine. I typically like herbal teas and caffeine free teas and finding something new was fairly easy. There are also tea accessories such as canisters to keep your teas fresh. The prices I found to be inline with the quality of the teas. The customer service associate was polite, helpful and welcoming; needless to say I will be supporting this small business in the future.“
“I stumbled across this place on Thursday, 02-15-24 while picking up dinner at another establishment. I was impressed by the gelato & truffle flavors; some were regular while others were eccentric.The young lady serving me was pleasant and offered me samples of gelato. I tried the caramel whiskey and was instantly in love. I bought a small cup with a scoop of caramel whiskey and cookie butter. While deciding on flavors, she informed me that each flavor came in either dark or milk chocolate. I choose a dark chocolate amaretto and a milk chocolate salted caramel. This was a good splurge and I'm looking forward to returning.“

“Anytime I am in the vicinity of Brakeman’s, no matter if I need it or not, it’s coffee time. It’s a quaint little home that they turned into a full-fledged business. The concept is locomotives, so the interior exposed brick, hard metal accent pieces, and even names of beverages all point in the same direction. The customer service is incredible and usually has the same faces, so getting to know the staff on a first name basis is very common. The bakery they contract with is a local non-profit and puts out amazing products. They also have other food related items for purchase for convenience. Where it all matters, because upscale coffee shops are white noise these days, the beans and roast are impeccable. I’ve tried a little bit of everything on their menu and the espresso is very high level. I highly recommend the Ticket to London. Pricing is on-point and reasonable considering the quality of product and location of business. What I really enjoyed, just as much as the rest of the aforementioned aspects, was the customer demographic. You get a variety of everyone in there, but yet it doesn’t feel overcrowded, overhyped, or commercialized. It’s just a good local spot with great coffee and top shelf staff. I highly recommend. A perfectly executed throw of his milk bottle directly into my latte. As a mom I wanted to cry. I was overwhelmed and outnumbered. Not your moms donuts was so beyond kind and helped me clean the mess( I insisted on helping because my slugger was the reason for the now spilled coffee) then they went ahead and made me a new coffee. “Hands down the best bakery in the town. We visit here every weekend from south carolina to have breakfast. Chocolate banana muffin and orange hazelnut rolls are our family favorites. Staff is extremely polite and thoughtful. They make great coffee too.“

“Tried this bakery for the first time today with my Mom. The staff is unbelievably kind and Yalexis (apologies if I butchered the spelling of her name) definitely stood out as an absolute leader. She went above and beyond to make our visit warm and hospitable. The quiche was fresh tasting and had great flavor and the chocolate croissant and cappuccino were delicious. It would be great if management could implement bringing sugar cubes (or just sugar) to the table for dine-in coffee orders rather than having to get up and grab some from the to-go bar - a very small detail but a suggestion nonetheless! “Great first visit to SPB! We had the American burger, the kids chicken tenders/fries and kids grilled cheese with fries. The burger was "fine". The side salad was great quality but was mostly apples and little kale....maybe it's mixed up in a big batch and when they scooped out a serving, it just so happened to get all the apples? the hand battered tenders and the grilled cheese on the sourdough roll were fantastic BUT THE FRIES!!! They were the star of the night!! YUM! We had a couple mixed drinks that were made just how we liked them. I couldn't believe how quickly the drinks came out. It was impressive.
