I got the coconut cookie and my husband raved about the white chocolate macadamia. I wish we had tried this sooner... but it's 10 miles down the beach 😆“

We ate there on the second night of our stay and no one in the family was disappointed. I had the grilled salmon salad special and coming from a tough critic, it was DELICIOUS and did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the "vibe" was just the same as we remembered. We can't wait to visit again.“

“We arrived to OBX before our house was ready, so we decided find a place for lunch. We decided to try Dune Burger. The burgers were delicious along with the onion rings. When we went, there was a sign stating no shakes. The parking lot is small. They have plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your meal.“

“Jks restaurant is amazing I got there at 4:30 and the manager was outside, we talked to him and he said when we go in to say our names and he would get us a seat. We walk in and tell him our names and we immediately get a seat, I got the ny strip and it was amazing it was cooked perfectly also right when you walk in you will see the steak on the grill right behind the glass which was really cool“

“We visited the OBX and stayed in Manteo in an AirBnB (with a dog), so we did takeout most of the time and just ate it at the house. Top China came up as being near us, so we looked at the reviews and were a bit wary. We tried to order from there on Sunday night, but they were closed. They were closed also on Monday and finally, we found them open on Tuesday. The food was much better than we expected because we were judging from the lunch menu pic on Google, which didn't seem to have very much. Their actual menu is much more extensive. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and is family run. You can see the parents cooking in the kitchen and the daughters run the register. There was no AC when we went and the front door was propped open. I don't know if this was because the AC wasn't working or if the business was trying to save money. In any case, most customers appeared to be ordering for take away. I would order from this restaurant again.“

“🚨 🚨 ‼️ ‼️ Long Post Alert so just a heads up if you want a read ahead of your stay or if you’re a local and just want to know what the inlanders feel about this local gem on the shores of the Outer Banks. My wife and I spent our honeymoon last week in KH and all we can say about this place is, our bank probably thinks we moved in there. But for Good reason. From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by the hosts, to taking a peak in the gift shop. There is everything for everyone in this convenient beachside bar and restaurant. We made our way to the back side of the bar and were immediately greeted by Ryan who explained what the daily specials were and offered us a cocktail, all the while with a smile on his face. We chose the 1/2 lb shrimp, and as much shrimp as we ate at some other locations (over 20) this right here…hands down best on the coast. The ambiance is inviting and rewarding with just the step up from your seat and you have a beautiful view of the famous dunes and the Atlantic. The conscience of this place is unmatched. Once your belly’s are good and full, you’re just a few steps away from your toes in the sand and what better way to walk of some great food than with your toes in the water. We also dabbled in other specials of the day, unique beachside cocktails and I promise you, some of the BEST conversations with locals and bartenders alike. Not to mention the upstairs open air bar and seating where we met Jacob. One of the other bartenders who told us his in time the day prior. As we were planning our evening the next morning we said “wait Jacob’s upstairs tomorrow. it’s a pretty evening tonight, let’s go to the top Bar.” Needless to say, away we went. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Everywhere you look. Every food item you see. Every conversation you have. Everything about it is what makes this place so very special and truly only 1/1 in my opinion! To the Management, Staff and Owners of this wonderful restaurant…please keep up what you’re doing. It works and it’s made the most positive of impressions on me and my Wife. Thank you all for having us and oh by the way, we will see you guys for our 1 year Anniversary in 2026!!! Cheers to each and every one of you! 🍻 🍸 🥃“

“Had a really excellent brunch style breakfast...pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, hash browns with bananas and whipped cream on the side. Wow. Everything was super. The hot sauces are great too. Outstanding service even though the place was crowded. My only complaint is the place is kind of cramped and noisy but that's obviously how their customers like it!“

“Not certain what's up with all the negative reviews. We brought our dog in for a respite from the heat and was welcomed and served right away....well, he was served first, lol. Normal size scoops of delicious fresh-made ice-cream. He got the deluxe pup cup. Prices seemed pretty normal to me. Im certain if you get the Dubai Chocolate that'd be a different story, so watch what you order! Highly recommend!“
