“My first visit did NOT disappoint! If you're not drinking coffee here, are you even really drinking coffee? I love coffee and I have tasted it from many places in town and this is by far the BEST in New Bern!!!! The owner, Liz, is the sweetest, and her staff is amazing as well! The atmosphere is so cozy and they have special things going on each day of the week. I will be back for sure!!! 🥰“

“You can tell that this place really cares about what they put out- beer was excellent, unique and the food just the same. The local art for sale is a plus, and the super friendly staff an absolute bonus. As an out of towner from the northeast (with many Pamlico and Carteret County roots) it was nice to find a brewery not overly commercialized and overrun with people. 99 felt personable and fresh- don’t loose that charm! “Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My husband and I went on Thursday night for dinner as we have many times in the past. My only complaint was everything was overly salted. We removed the breading from the calamari, his tuna didn't have much flavor only salty. My crabcakes were as good as always! Maybe they should cut back off on the salt, you can always add more at the table.“

“We've been enjoying the food at Michaels for over a year. Love the hot dogs, Reuben Sandwich and nachos. Need to diversity and try some of their other entrees though. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Tonya who runs the bar and the food service is wonderful. I enjoy going there to talk to her. Always in great spirits and has a smile on her face. Her husband is the Chef also. Always a fun dining experience.“

“Holy cow, this is one of the best almond croissants that I’ve had…and I’ve had a lot. Yesterday’s apple cruffin was delightful as well, and of course the plethora of cookies that we have tried. I would take a photo to add to my review but I already ate said croissant. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Lazy night so ordered takeout from Sumo first timers. Quick turnaround ready as promised upon arrival - there are a few tables inside but looks like it's mostly go biz. I wanted spicy (Chinese) and wife wanted hibachi (Japanese). She had the winning choice as her steak & shrimp was ample, tender and tasty. My Hunan Shrimp was underwhelming - not zippy at all and overload ratio of veg to shrimp seemed almost bland vegetarian. Fortunately the Gyozo steamed pork dumplings appetizer was delightfully sublime and we got a dozen for $7. The value was sound for the volume of the meals.....i just expected more from "Hunan" style in my dish. I'm sure we'll be back and I'll go Szechuan instead.“

“Great coffee!! I got the brunette frozen chiller (a hazelnut and caramel frappe basically) and it was really good! Nice strong coffee flavor! I did add chocolate syrup and whipped cream. (See picture.)

Price was good as my size medium (maybe 20 oz) was only $5.

Only bad thing was, there was a good bit of a line at the drive thru. The service definitely could have been faster, but it wasn't unbearable and I'd say it was still worth it. One little tip, from a barista to another coffee shop, maybe stop asking for phone numbers before the order is taken, if you can... I feel like it kind of rubs customers the wrong way. But that could just be me!
Communication between workers could stand to improve as well, but I am still giving 5 stars because the coffees are so freaking good!!! 😂“

“Had the wine flight and Tuscan flatbread here tonight. Service was great and the wine flight featured North Carolina wines (!!!) a definite plus for me. Tuscan flatbread was very tasty and enough so I took half home for tomorrow if it survives a midnight snack. 🙂“

“Freshwater was a fabulous taproom to hang out for an hour or so while I passed the time waiting to meet up with my friend in downtown. It was a super hot day and their AC was perhaps a little stressed but otherwise, it was quiet, it was comfortable and the wifi worked well.

I enjoyed a very cold pilsner from Nashville and it was perfect. A great little watering hole and as I was heading out, a food truck arrived and was setting up.“

“The 2 waiters we had were awesome! Super sweet even cracking a joke here and there and keeping things light hearted. All four of us enjoy that type of dining. This was on St Valentines Day during lunch. The food was light fare. We didn't want much anyway as we had dinner plans. We split a pizza, and they other couple split a chicken sandwich. I believe it was cooked over a wood flame. The crust was good but it lacked in flavor overall & a little boring to me. The atmosphere was decent as you come to expect in New Bern. I loved the back room for its feel of privacy and peacefulness, but they sat four of us at a tall top with 4 stools until I asked for a booth which we got. I guess you have to ask for the backroom seating as well? Anyway I would go back, its a very nice place. Next time I'm trying something fun!“

“I have eating at Sara's since she opened. He menu is one of the largest if not the largest menu in New Bern. everything I have ever eaten at Sara's is delicious. The meatballs are large and delicious, and I love the marinara sauce. Service is always good with a smile. and I don't know of another restaurant that earned 100% from the NC Health Department.“

“we go there occasionally for dinner but last night we enjoyed a special five course, Irish themed meal. The food was, as always,, outstanding and the wait staff was excellent. We always enjoy sitting and looking at the river while we dine. Chef David is a masterful Chef! Say hello to Jessica, the restaurant manager, who is lovely and welcoming!“

“Harry’s is awesome! I’m a regular for their karaoke nights and have to say the food is amazing one of the best spots for a good eat in new Bern (I recommend the pizza and the one of a kind egg rolls my favorite is the Reuben eggroll) matched only by the amazing staff that really make you feel at home on a night out I cannot recommend this place enough now hopefully soon they’ll consider doing a weekly karaoke night other than that they’re the perfect place for a good night out“
