“Came to New Bern for the weekend as a family with my husband, teenager and mother. We’d read reviews and picked Morgan’s for dinner. It was amazing. We had good service (thank you, Mika), the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the wait was less than we anticipated. My salmon dinner was so good- still thinking about it. 😂 My son said one of his favorite trip memories was his hamburger and the fact that the bun wasn’t soggy. Portions were generous; some of us had leftovers. And the croissants were such a sweet starter. Recommend!“

“Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My husband and I went on Thursday night for dinner as we have many times in the past. My only complaint was everything was overly salted. We removed the breading from the calamari, his tuna didn't have much flavor only salty. My crabcakes were as good as always! Maybe they should cut back off on the salt, you can always add more at the table.“

“Place is really nice but I did walk past it at first not knowing the area. I did make a reservation which is the way to go since parking is limited and so is seating. The food was good and the pizza reminded me of being back in New York. Definitely a place to checkout.“

“I love a bento box. Not too many places carry them so when I see the option I have to stop and try it. Ginza Japan is a place I’ve passed many times and never thought to go in. It is a small place, limited seating but there’s enough booths, tables and bar seats they make it work. I went around 3:45 and couldn’t believe how busy it was. Always a good sign. The wait staff is super attentive and helps you as soon as you’re ready to order which I appreciate. The menu is great for sushi and hibachi and the bento boxes come with numerous choices. I went with the shrimp tempura and fried rice. You get 3 gyoza and California rolls, soup and salad. It is alot of food. It arrived in a timely manner and everything was so fresh and well made with quality ingredients and flavor! The shrimp came with tempura mixed veggies which was a nice suprise and as someone who doesn’t need a ton of shrimp having the 2 shrimp tempura was actually the perfect amount with the veggies. Those ordering shrimp tempura and expecting 4 or 5 shrimp tempura only may be disappointed. I ate it all because it was that good. I’m still stuffed 4 hours later writing this review. I wish they served alcohol then it would be truly perfect. I look forward to coming again when the opportunity arises. Oh and all this food came to $15.95. Can’t beat that!“

My wife and I grew up with REAL Italian food, with Italian being spoken in the kitchen. This restaurant offers REAL, great Italian food. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday very special.“

“This is the best Chinese food around. You have got to try the crab ragoon. The chicken and broccoli or sesame chicken are also really good for a meal. I like to get lomein instead of fried rice. The lady that rings me up is really nice and if u try them I guarantee you’ll come back“

“Food was pretty good. Service was marginal. Waitress did not tend to refills. Cook failed to provide the sauces requested even after asking 3 times. He did not cook the chicken for my wifes meal. The vegetables were undercooked. They did bring it from the back a few minutes later and filled the sauces after we finished eating. Never got the hot sauce that I asked for thrice.
It was painfully. Evident cook was new.
Overall I would go back and give them another try.“

“Ate here with a dear friend yesterday. Food was delicious! I got the steak hibachi. My friend got the steak and chicken hibachi. Both were fresh, hot, and delicious! Gyoza was also ordered. What a delicious appetizer! Never had them before, but I'll definitely have them again! The restaurant was clean and the drink station was well stocked. Simple dining area. Plenty of parking available. The restaurant is very close to Hobby Lobby and Academy Sports.“

“We stopped in New Bern recently on our way down to the Crystal Coast in April. Yelp indicated opening at 3 but posted hours on door said 4. Owner saw us heartbroken on the sidewalk & unlocked/opened door & asked if we'd like to eat. Absolutely! We were blown away by the Owner's generous hospitality & thrilled not to have to find another lunch/dinner option. My Husband enjoyed a delicious Pineapple Cider with his meal. We started with the Thai Angel Appetizer (a delicious sampler of Thai favorites) followed by Chicken Pad Thai (Level 2). I should have taken pics but we were starving! The Chicken Pad Thai was by far the best that l've personally ever eaten. It has ruined me for all others going forward. I can't wait to have it again! Restaurant is bright & beautiful. Thai Angel proudly displays their 100 Health Rating as they rightly should. A must do anytime one is in or near New Bern. Thai Angel does not disappoint!“

“I have eating at Sara's since she opened. He menu is one of the largest if not the largest menu in New Bern. everything I have ever eaten at Sara's is delicious. The meatballs are large and delicious, and I love the marinara sauce. Service is always good with a smile. and I don't know of another restaurant that earned 100% from the NC Health Department.“

“Not a gourmet meal, but a great option if you want a meal providing a quick pick up that is also tasty,. Order it in your app (way to find a good coupons) and it is generally ready in 11 minutes or less. I can track progress on my app so I know it is ready when I get there. Order is in the warming oven where I can pick it up with no waiting for staff. Picked up last night - a Friday - and staff was hustling. Of course, they also do a delivery service. Have to mention that their Cheesy Bread is amazingly delicious. We all love it. And we do like the New York style crust. Never soggy.“

“We’re new bern natives and we come to Mario’s often. They are the real deal. My family is from NYC so I feel qualified to say this. My son and I had lunch here today and he said “This is the best pizza of my life.” He literally says this every time we come here. Hot tip: ask for the cordon bleu pizza. It’s incredible.“

“My other half and I have visited this restaurant multiple times, first for drinks, then an appetizer, and finally for a full dine-in experience. While the staff and atmosphere consistently deliver a 10/10, the food, unfortunately, rates a disappointing 2/10. Our first foray into their food offerings was the fried green tomatoes. They offered a creative twist, but the tomatoes were undercooked and the accompanying pork was tough to eat. This initial disappointment was echoed during our recent dine-in visit. On a busy Saturday night at 7:30 PM, we anticipated a wait and indeed had one for 45 minutes, spending it at the outdoor seating with a beer before being seated on the outdoor patio. We decided to give the fried green tomatoes another try, hoping for an improvement. Sadly, they were again a disappointment: undercooked tomatoes, overcooked pork, and pineapple that was barely seared. Our drinks also left much to be desired. My other half's sweet tea was overly sweet, far from a classic southern sweet tea. My water had a distinct, unpleasant metallic tap water taste, leading me to switch to a glass of Pinot. To my dismay, the Pinot was not chilled, making it a $10 waste. I also noted that the waiter, under scrutiny from his manager, refilled my unappetizing water despite my polite refusal. It seems management's focus might be better placed on kitchen efficiency rather than drink refills when the kitchen is clearly struggling. Our dinner finally arrived at 9:20 PM, almost an hour after ordering, and neither dish was served fresh and hot. My other half ordered the special, a fish dish with corn salsa and jasmine rice, which he did not enjoy. At $29, a significant portion remained uneaten. The image I provided in the comments. I ordered the seafood Alfredo, which arrived lukewarm. It contained only three shrimp, no scallops, and a single chunk of lobster. The next day, I made the mistake of eating the leftovers and felt nauseous again, reinforcing my initial reaction. The overall experience felt rushed by the kitchen, despite the long wait times. It seems a focus on making the food "right" rather than just "fast" would greatly improve the customer experience. Our total bill for two entrees, one appetizer, two beers, one sweet tea, and one glass of Pinot came to $126. As residents of New Bern who dock our boat at the restaurant, we appreciate the good vibes and convenient location. However, the food truly needs a thorough re-evaluation. The presentation in the photos attached, which I would describe as looking like something an inexperienced home cook would present, perfectly encapsulates the lack of flavor and overall quality. I am hopeful that a visit during a less busy time might yield a better culinary experience. Consistency is paramount, especially when customers are willing to wait.“

“Maybe a bit of misunderstanding in the beginning but I got the beef and broccoli with crab Rangoon’s. The pork fried rice is the best I’ve had . And as far as the beef and broccoli most places give you 3-4 pieces of broccoli with super sweet sauce but not this place . The sauce is perfect and plenty of broccoli. Very good , thank you“
