Craft Breweries near Newton

“Brookrise Brewery has a great atmosphere its exactly what you want from a great brewery relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. The beer selection is excellent but what really made the visit stand out was Taylor behind the bar. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to talk to. Between the quality drinks and top-notch service, this is a place I’ll be coming back to again and again.“

“My wife and I were in Hickory for the 1st time during the 1st weekend of June. We love exploring breweries when in new towns. We stumbled upon Olde Hickory Brewery and absolutely loved it. The bartender, Jon, asked what we liked and explained all the beers they had, how long they’ve been in business and the restaurants and pub owned by them. He patiently answered all our questions and gave us samples of beers that interested us. We loved Photon Sphere (very interesting brew), The Event Horizon, and all the beers in the Nova series. Jon explained them very accurately. When he had time, he sat with us and talked for a couple of minutes. Before we left town we came back to buy beer to bring home to Alpharetta, GA. To our surprise, Jon remembered our names! Even though the brewery was much busier, we notice he gave the same attention to all the customers. He seemed to truly love talking to people. The beer, Jon, and atmosphere were all great. If you are near Hickory- go there. If we come back we sure will. Thanks, Jon!“

“My husband, son and I showed up 30 minutes before they evened opened (not realizing they weren’t open yet). They opened the door for us, were more than happy to pour us a beer, and let us sit to enjoy the atmosphere. We always loved this place when we lived in Hickory and were very satisfied with our service during our return visit. Highly recommend!! Delicious beer and excellent service.“
