“I reached out to Julie on a Thursday, needing a cake for Saturday (2 days notice) to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary at a restaurant in Oxford, NC that was a good meeting location for us and them (VA and NC). She returned my call very promptly, and she took it upon herself to contact the restaurant about delivery times. Her communication was outstanding, certainly was outside of her normal working hours. Though she wasn't able to deliver the cake during restaurant hours, she came up with a Plan B so we could pick the cake up in a secure location, and provided all the details we needed. She could have easily said "no, I can't do it", due to the obligations she already had, and the short notice, but she didn't. And I was so grateful. The cake was nicely boxed, beautiful and tasted fantastic! My parents enjoyed it and enjoyed the entire celebration. If the opportunity arises for me to need a cake in Oxford again, I would most definitely go to Julie's Cakery. I also highly recommend her for her professionalism, caring and for being an excellent cake maker!“
“I've been there only once but will certainly return next time I'm in Oxford to try other baked goods. I was there on a Saturday which enabled me to try a sorghum pecan roll. It was very, very good and I'm pleased that the nice woman who took my order suggested that I have it warmed up.Vegetarian options: The grilled asparagus and cheese sandwich, which was interestingly flavored with Indian lemon pickle, was very good.“
