“My day started at 6:30am, I woke up and drove an hour for a doctor appointment at 8am. Was back home by 9am and worked an 10 hour day. My husband had given our puppy a medication towards the end of the day and he had a really bad reaction to it so we decided to rush him to the closest emergency vet which was about an hour away in Chapel Hill. I promise I’m getting there lol. After 2.5 hours and $900 spent that I couldn’t really afford but did, we left the vet with a still sick puppy and feeling defeated and hungry. We got into my car and I said to my husband, Taco Bell sounds good. And he said he was thinking the exact same thing. So I tried to find one close by since we had about 30 minutes until they closed. I pulled up to the drive thru around 11:45pm fulling expecting to get turned away. A friendly voice came over the speaker and took my order. What a relief. The young man who took our order could not have been nicer. The young man at the window could not have been nicer. It took a few minutes for our food to be ready and the young man apologized for the wait and he said he just wanted the food to be hot / made fresh for us. These young people had no idea what kind of day we had just had and to do something like that for us when they were trying to close (it’s Monday night at midnight for Gods sake, I wouldn’t have blamed them) was really appreciated and I felt like telling everyone.
