“I don’t normally write reviews for restaurants but after visiting Prime, I just had to let others know. First, the restaurant was clean and beautiful inside and out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The line to order was out the door. I guess that should have been my first clue that the service and food was going to be out of this world. They offered cold water to us while we waited in line. This was me and my family’s first time trying this restaurant and they were so patient and answered all our questions on meat and the best options. (Yes, we were those people holding up the line. Sorry!) The young men cutting and preparing the meat were knowledgeable and super nice. I ended up purchasing several items (Brisket, Ribs, House Made Sausage, and Turkey Breast). All I can say is if you are within 100 miles of this place you must make the trip! Your stomach will love you for it!“

“The Depot on First has been open since October 2023 and since then has simply excelled as the only fine dining restaurant in the area. “Great little neighborhood deli in N. Raleigh area. Ordered the Grand Gobbler on focaccia (bread was perfect & so fresh) & the potato salad (literally some of the best I’ve ever had). It was all so plentiful & so very good! Place has a very simple, but tasteful menu. Super nice staff working Sabrina & (Dalton brought our food out & spoke) he always does a perfect job on preparing our sandwiches! 🥪 Overall service was great! Definitely a must for a quick lunch stop! Will definitely be back asap!“

“I’ve experienced how wonderful Hawaii’s shaved ice is and never thought I’d be able to find Anything close here on the mainland. Boy was I wrong! Pelicans has the absolute best. Best shaved eyes next to Hawaii of course that I have ever experienced so much variety and so many unique flavors and combinations kids love it. I’m 50 and I absolutely love it kid at hard. I guess you could say but it’s great for all ages.“

“The bagels and spreads are delicious, worth the trip and always fresh. However, the hours are awful! They close at 2:00. I have been by countless times between 2:00-3:00 and they are always closed. It’s very frustrating. They lose a lot of business not staying open just an hour later. I hope this will change.“

Jenna was as friendly as could be and she was extremely fast with having to both take orders, take payment and fulfill the orders. “Don't believe the photo that comes up on the tripadvisor page. When I visited in April 2025, they closed at 5:00 Mon-Thurs, not 8:00. Their website has the correct hours. I had the fried chicken lunch special. It came with two sides and two slices of garlic toast. $9.99. The chicken was juicy and the breading had great flavor. The mac and cheese side was creamy and delish. The broccoli and cauliflower side needed salt and pepper. Nice sized portions for the sides. The garlic bread could use more garlic flavoring. Some patrons at my place of employment told me that they come here several times a week for lunch. The staff is very friendly, even towards me, a newcomer. They seemed to know everyone else in the restaurant. Lots of regulars, which is a good sign.“
