“All employees were really nice and professional. 3 stars on service was because we were asked to pull forward to wait which was no biggie, but it was like they forgot us. After awhile a young man came out and said you still haven't got your food? Said no and although he had just got off he went back in with our receipt and came a couple minutes later with our food. Now that's an employee that went above and beyond“

“Visited Matthews, NC few days ago and had lunch here. The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). Service was great, and washrooms were clean. The place has a really cool vibe to it, looks like one would feel at home there while watching sports on one of the many screens.“

“Been coming here for my birthday since 2022 and I absolutely love it. Big portions and good prices, the food is really nice, but the vibe of the place is the best. Listening to 70s rock on the way always fits, and they play oldies in the restaurant too. Amazing staff, and again just the design of the place is great. Always come here in the evening and enjoy your time.

and it’s got a good record shop next to it called Noble Records. Sells cds records and cassettes and I’ve bought from them after eating a lot. Writing this review right outside in the parking lot actually about to go in south 21.

“The best burger I have ever had! From the first bite to the very last, it was everything a burger should. The house made pickles, red onions and the melted white American cheese. Everyone needs to try this burger!! The fries also deserve a shoutout for being super crispy and hot.“

“How the hell do I give this place more stars ⭐️x10 !! Tonight I walked in and was immediately greeted by every worker in sight. The ordering process was easy and the cashier was extremely helpful and answered all my questions happily, this was my first time visiting but won’t be my last. I ordered a chili double burger and a regular double cheeseburger with two orders of fries. Let me say nothing about these burgers were regular, these were the best burgers I’ve had in over 5 years, even after a 40 minute drive to my apartment the burgers still tasted fresh and succulent. I was so full off one burger and a half order off fries but I was determined to finish the rest so I would cry and dream about it all night if I didn’t. The food was so flavorful I had to keep alternating between my fries and the burgers. Definitely recommend, definitely will be back. Actually considering moving closer to be nearby. I don’t have any photos because the food is demolished….If you’re trying to decide on this and any other place choose this place and you’ll forget about the other!!!“

It was a garden burger and it was fried so hard and the lettuce that they put on there was pieces and some of it was black, I asked for onion on it, and it was chopped onions, this place is usually awesome. “Love this place. Great atmosphere, menu, drinks and most of all great staff. I stopped in last week to pick up gift cards for the holiday and they were having an issue with the system. The manger explained the situation and offered alternatives. I chose to come back this week to purchase the cards and the manager remembered me and thanked me for returning as did the bartender. If you’ve never been, give it a try. I can almost guarantee you’ll return too.“

“My all time favorite place! I have enjoyed South 21 for 35 years! I’m a creature of habit so I always order the chicken filet sandwich fried with french fries and of course a separate order of the famous onion rings! These o-rings are the ONLY ones I eat!! The staff is ALWAYS pleasant and courteous too!! My only wish is that it wasn’t 40 minutes away, but I still visit regularly!!“

“This was hands down the best fast-food experience I’ve had in a long time.

Shake Shack is usually a quick order, eat, and go kind of place, but this location felt more like a high-end restaurant. The staff didn’t just stay behind the counter. They walked around, checked on tables, asked if we needed anything.

That kind of attention says a lot about whoever’s running this place. You could tell the team actually cared. Food was great as always, but the service is what stood out.

“We dined here, hoping to experience their restaurant week deal, but once we got there and realized that they had a better special for the upcoming snow day... we took advantage of that. The promo was buy two pies, get one classic pie for free. The hostess was pleasant - greeting us as soon as we opened the door. Emily, our waitress, was extremely personable, sweet, and gave great suggestions. I think she went the extra mile to make sure that we had a really good experience – and even though it was a quiet night, we still felt as if she gave us personalized service. There was never a moment where we had to wait for our water to be topped off, or anything. She was truly on top of it!! The kitchen did make a slight mistake with our order, really unknowingly to us, but they were quick to fix it – then allowed us to take the extra pizza home. So actually instead of leaving with three pizzas, we left with four! Such a steal. The music playlist was perfect and such a vibe. It was a quiet night, probably because of the storm, but I'm sure on some nights - it can get a bit lively. The drink menu seemed good - but we didn't indulge this time. Great for a date night, night out with your friends, etc. We will definitely be back!“

“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. “The buns were too soft and it seems they grill them and push them flat when you have a large size burger the bread tends to fall apart also the fries could have been cooked harder The floors are slippery as well“

“Oh my gosh if I could give this place 1 million stars I would! My son wanted his 8th birthday here badly. I called and spoke with Julie and she answered all my questions & was super helpful with suggestions. The day of the party Hilary made our desert platter with the funfetti cake bites and candy and it was SO delicious. I can’t rave enough about the cake bites, honestly everyone of my guests loved them! We had the tots fries, chicken tenders and ravioli (fried) and it was all so amazing and surprisingly fed a lot of people for what I ordered. They didn’t try to upsell me but guided me on what would reasonably work for how many people. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and helpful too! It was a blast for the kids AND adults!! When I went to California, I missed eating from here so bad! In N Out was not hitting the mark for me!
Steak and Shake have the best value for your money , quick efficient service, the workers always get it right for us every-time even if my family makes substitutes in their meals. We love the taste of the garlic burgers, they are a hit! We always order from here at least once every 2 weeks, sometimes twice!!“

“Happened to be in Monroe and, being a former WI resident, could not help but make a stop at Culver’s. Enjoyed their signature butter burger, Culver’s root beer and my favorite; deep fried cheese curds. All of them were awesome and helped me reminisce about my days in Cheeseland. I also could not resist the opportunity to enjoy some frozen custard and that days flavor of the day was chocolate custard loaded with cookie crumbs. Service was great; a friendly staff and they were handing out rubber ducks if you were willing to “quack”. There is a lot of variety on the menu including fish and chicken; baskets and sandwiches. There is also a great kids menu. If you’ve not experienced Culver’s, give them a try!“

Excellent chicken which I’d liken to Dave’s Hot Chicken but would perhaps rate slightly higher. Food out of the truck was fresh, hot, and pleasant service too from the guy working. Solid execution on a sandwich with two huge filets, pickles, grilled bun, and cheese. Also came with two sauces by default which is a huge plus. Pricing was reasonable too considering it was a food truck and the quality/portions I got.“
