“Today I visited NY Pizza Express in Stallings on Potter Road. I ordered my favorite item when ordering at a pizza place, calzone. Well, I will tell you now that is the best calzone I have ever found/had in union county. The business is family owned they were so nice and my calzone was the best. On a 10 star rating I give them 10 stars. Great food, great and friendly service and pretty fast service I think for pizza. I will definitely be ordering my calzones and pizza there. Very satisfied customer. I recommend Calzone.“

“We are new to the area and we were recommended to go to Throwback Pizza and I am so glad we did! The moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile! The owner had no problem with helping us decide what to get! He answered all of our questions with such a down to earth personality! We could instantly taste the authenticity in everything we ate! Now, this crust isn't your traditional doughy bite; its kinda like Cheeze IT Snap'd crackers with a crunchy bite. The toppings really shine through as the pies are loaded with protien. My only disappointed was the limited amount of sauce or flavor. I could tell if it was due to the amount or lack of flavor. Either way, it was a good take on a pie.“

“A few friends and I wanted to go out, and we had been to this Emmy Squared location before and had an amazing experience. This time we made a reservation because it was Valentine's night and when we arrived we were seated on-time. Everything that followed was less than satisfactory. 45 minutes after ordering, we were told our pizzas were on the way, but had not even received our appetizer. 20 minutes later, the appetizer arrived but no pizzas. The pizzas eventually arrived, and it was room temperature at best, it seemed that had been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. It did appear that the restaurant was short staffed and swamped with a flurry of walk in customers and take-out orders. No explanation for the delay or concern for our overall experience was given. I'm a pretty reasonable guy and understand places get busy, especially during a holiday, but no one seemed to care or have a sense of urgency about the situation. But a 10/10 on the Butternut Squash and Brussel Sprouts appetizer, make it a larger portion and serve it as a meal... it is delicious!“

“This location is good in a spot with other options as well the pizza was BIG and SO good. I got the ricotta pie. Amazing if you like simple but the herbs made it. People were very nice and the inside was nice enough to want to dine in for a lunch date.“

“I recently visited this location while in town visiting. The food was absolutely AMAZING! I tried the gluten free crust…. Incredible! My son enjoyed his pizza as well! The service was outstanding! The prices are very reasonable and you get a nice portion. I highly recommend and will definitely return when I visit Charlotte.

“If you like Neapolitan Pizza you will love this place. We tried the Pistachio Pesto Pizza and it was surprisingly one of our favorite pizzas. Along with the Diavola Pizza, the Burrata Pizza, and the Mushroom Maria (which i felt could use more tuffle oil, but it was still really good.) And they have the best Cannolis I have ever tasted in my life. Made with real mascarpone cheese, not basic brick cream cheese. And the pumpkin spice one was a really nice autum treat! Would go great with a cuppa coffee. We ate 4 pizzas in store. And ordered another pizza and cannolis to go. This place is a must try. Me and my family give it a 10/10.“

Well let me tell you, jets four corners deep dish pizza is now our favorite pizza EVER!! We are a bit addicted to this place. The staff are always professional and polite. “Phenomenal service! It's been a few weeks since I went, so I don't remember the time, date, or name of the person helping, but he was a skinny black kid with short hair. I think he had facial hair? My brother and I went in an hour before closing. It was our first time being there, being that we are originally from Jersey. He patiently and warmly helped us with our choices. The pizza was out super fast! The toppings were delicious except for the sauce. I'm a pizza snob hailing from the great state of Jersey. Good pizza has been very, very, VERY hard to find down here, but this place came pretty damn close. The crust, mmmhmmmm, just like I like it. The sauce could be sweeter and needs a little bit more pizzazz. Other than that, perfect! I'm definitely going back!“

“UPDATE 11/7/2024

It has been one week since we had such atrocious service from our server "Tom". See below. Tonight we went back again as Brixx Blakeney is still our favorite restaurant. We asked for an got Leanne as our server. And as usual she Exceeded All Expectations. Drinks were plentiful, Pizza was hot and tasty, and her service could not have been better. Even though she was very busy, she took time to make sure we had everything we needed for a great Pizza experience.

My only question which I guess is none of my business is why is Tom still there. Tonight he was just walking around in circles or standing around. Leanne and Scott (another great server) were almost running. Tom was just there. I watched him serve another booth. He was there three times: Take order, bring drinks, bring and take bill on his little electronic device. That is not service.
But as long as we never have him again, that is Brixx business.
Thank You Leanne for such a great dining experience. You are the best. Scott is also great as is Max.

UPDATE 10/31/2024

It has been about a month since we were last there. We have always loved Brixx Blakeney. But since we were there last time they have hired a new server (Tom). After we had been seated for a good while (restaurant was far from full) Tom came over. He took our drink order and brought them. Then he left and we did not see him again for over 10 minutes. During this time we were speaking with the other servers we have known for years. Leann stopped to talk a minute as she is a friend and our favorite server. When I asked could she not swap with Tom she just shook her head no. Tom was ignoring us. Leann had to move on to her tables and Tom finally came back to take our order. It is BOGO day due to the Hornets. So I told him. He said I had to show him something on the ap or email. So I did, even though no one had ever asked for this in years. Again, no one showed up for a long time. Finally the pizzas came out. My wifes Pizza was so cold the cheese had hardened. Tom was no where to be seen. So finally I took the pizza to the counter myself. I asked the young man who was helping put the plates and boxes together to ask the cooks to heat it up. He quickly did. And he did a great job and made sure the pizza came back very quickly. Good for him. Tom? No where to be seen. After another 10 or so minutes Tom just walked up and took our drink glasses and refilled them. Then he was gone again. No sign until he came back with the bill. No BOGO was on it. I asked again. He said for me to show him proof I was entitled to this (again) so I did. He disappeared again. Then came back with an adjusted bill. This time he pulled out the little machine some of the waiters used to use to charge at the table. And rather than me being able to leave the tip I wanted, it had 3 choices that I could see. 25% 20% or 15%. Maybe there was an option for 0% but I did not see it. So I was forced to give 15% for very very poor service. I would have rather given the young man at the counter some money because he was the only person that help us. So service was awful.

My pizza was still luke warm so I ate it. But it was very chewy and not very tasty. Very disappointing for my favorite restaurant in Charlotte (see review above)

I hate leaving poor reviews but feel I must be truthful in my disappointment.

“Don't look anywhere else for pizza in this area. This is the best. True NY/NJ style pizza that is always fresh and crispy. The sauce is perfect, not overly sweet like some places. They have many options for pie sizes as well.

There was nothing about it that separated it from any other Italian sandwich. However, the pizza's were amazing!!! The service was great. “Great Chicago Deep dish pizza! This is the teal deal. I lived in Chicago for 4 years. You might be wondering about the price, but this pizza is thick and very filling. My 20 year old boys could only finish 1 1/2 slices while the normal people could only eat 1 slice. Fantastic toppings and Thursdays is 50% off all alcoholic beverages. Good beer selection. Plan accordingly, It does take time to make this so, bring a designated driver and enjoy the wait.
