“This was our 3rd time here for dinner. The first time , 2 years go was exceptional.the food, atmosphere, and service were amazing. Last year we went and there were flies swarming our table. We ordered the osso bucco which is typically veal shank. This came as 2 tiny little pork ankles not veal, and was disappointing in taste. This year, we decided to go at Christmas to see the decorations. We ordered the burrata, and they brought us the shrimp appetizer. We sent it back and the server came back with it & said that we ordered it. Which we did not, instead of a confrontation, we kept it. It was delicious, but not what we ordered. The primo dish , we ordered the ravioli to share, it was very good. For or entree, we ordered the veal chop. It was chewy as if undercooked, soggy, as if it layed in its breadcrumb coating too long. For a $47.00 vealchop, it was a complete disappointment in taste and texture .as we went there specifically for the veal chop. After 3xs, the meals got worse instead of better. Our waiter was excellent, it’s too bad., but the food has gone downhill. We are Italian and are always looking for a great Italian meal. This was not!”

“On 7/6/2024 Saturday at approximately 11:15 p.m. I took my guest to dinner at Carolina Ale House located at 11685 Northpark Drive, Wake Forest, North Carolina 27587. I went to the restroom and saw the restroom was filthy with water all over the floor and sinks, along with toilet tissue on the floor in the stalls. When I finished using the restroom I reported the filth issue and requested to speak to the manager. The manager was a female of dark color, standing about 5 ft. 5 in. tall, came while I sat with my guest. I told the manager the restroom was atrocious with water all over the floor, which splashed on the back of my leg walking to the stall, and that it was a lawsuit waiting to happen. (Slip and fall hazard) The manager responded saying " I went in the restroom, it was fine, and no water got on me", making the issue about herself instead of the public safety. I said "no establishment would ever consider those conditions acceptable, especially with that amount of water on the floor". The manager rolled her eyes and said "well it's fine, it's been cleaned up". My guest then went to use the restroom and returned asking the manager "how is it that you consider that restroom okay, especially when there is a lady in there using a squeegee for all of that water on the floor?". Displaying annoyance, the manager stated "we don't have time to serve people and clean". My guest and I then asked the manager to understand that due to the stereotypes about African Americans in management, she should have a higher standard for herself and her establishment. But as an excuse to dismiss the complaint, the manager began yelling at my guest stating that the race card was being used, and then she walked away. I asked the manager her name and she said "you don't need to know my name". I stated to the female bartender that I'd stop coming to this restaurant because twice I had an issue with my salmon, a bug in my food, and that I'd only came tonight to get my guest something to eat, since it was the only place open after 11:00 p.m. close to where I lived. And as I spoke to the female bartender, I saw that manager at the far right of the bar angrily looking at my guest and I as she spoke to several of her coworkers. Then as me and my guest discussed our menu options, the male bartender came and told us the manager told him to refuse our meal and tell us to leave. After my guest and I left, I'd returned to retrieve my phone charger plugged up at the bar and to use the restroom, and saw that the restroom was still in the deplorable condition that I'd reported earlier. I decided to take pictures and a video recording of the restroom. Then shortly after, that female manager came into the restroom, two large security men with her, and told me that I had to leave. Good customer service practices generally encourage transparency and accountability, which includes providing the manager's name if asked. Refusing to give a name might reflect poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer service and might be seen as unprofessional. This manager's lack of concern, low standard and dismissive attitude toward myself, my guest, and public safety in the Carolina Ale House restaurant, completely shows that she is not management material. Unfortunately, it also reflects poorly on the establishments' commitment to customer service and taints the Moshakos family name, owner of the LM Restaurants, Inc. Furthermore, due to that ordeal, I will not recommend any person to Carolina Ale House.”

“Crumbl Cookies is always a fun stop for a sweet treat. The rotating weekly flavors are creative and fresh, but the classic warm chocolate chip cookie is my favorite…it’s perfectly soft and gooey every time. Definitely worth trying if you stop by!”

“I’ve been going to WFCC for 10 years now. They are a favorite of mine. I’ve taken dates here, family and friends, anybody from out of town; it is a must-visit ! The baristas are very kind, friendly, and helpful. So much so, I’ve come to grow acquainted with some employees over the years. They do a loyalty program, and all they need is your # or email address. They offer many different flavors, so you’ll never grow tired of their options. Also the most affordable iced latte I can find, all while being the best! If you want a recommendation of different coffees to try, I do a white chocolate macadamia nut cold brew with a splash of almond milk. Or! A honey vanilla iced latte with oat milk. The options are endless (:”

“My wife and I drove 30 minutes this morning for a treat at Plant Cakes Bake Shop. The donuts and service were excellent as usual. When we returned to my truck, it wouldn't start so we called AAA for assistance. The tow came, identified the issue as a dead battery, but they didn't have jumper cables or a charge to get us started. I returned to the shop to ask if anyone had jumper cables, and the entire staff eagerly jumped into action. One staff member hurried to her vehicle for a charge and cables, and that got us back on the road. These are the types of high-initiative, family-owned, family-staffed businesses we should all go out of our way to support!”

“I come here with my mom and grandma every time I come visit. They are always slammed. But they get through the wait quickly it’s typically a 20-45 minute wait. They have great seasonal rotations. I love their French toast, pancakes and the almondnutmuff is delicious. I keep wanting to try their autumn avocado toast it sounds great! The lady at the front who’s worked here for 30 years always remembers my grandma Betty and makes her feel warm and welcome. With my gma’s memory problems it’s very kind and sweet that she remembers her and keeps her in the loop. 1000000/10. Wonderful place”

“From the warm and enthusiastic welcome to the all important “thank you for coming” Over the falls proved to be over the top. Our server was professional and engaging. He took the time to guide our choices through explanations and recommendations. I had the Pesto Parmesan flatbread with added chicken. It was amazing. The presentation was art and the flavors were oh so good. My husband had the Beef of Weckzel, which is one of the most popular. He raved about it. It was served on a warm pretzel roll with horseradish sauce and a warm au jus. My father in law had a pastrami sandwich which he loved, and my sister in law chose the Cobb salad. It also had an artful presentation. \nThe ambiance was inviting and charming. We will definitely return on our next trip to Wake Forest. A fabulous find. Thank you to the staff.”

“I planned a special outing for tea service here for a small group of kids. The owner was very communicative via email helping me understand what to expect, and planning our food selection. The staff on hand were phenomenal. They made each of the kids, including the 3 and 4 year old, feel like an important patron. They were patient as the older kids figured out what was an option for them. I was worried we’d be an inconvenience as a group of kids, but they genuinely made us feel like they were delighted to have us. The food was delicious, the tea selection was good, and the tea good. The lattes we had were great. It was an incredible experience and new for all of us. I plan to return for a full adult tea service, and highly recommend this place if you have kids who want the tea party experience.”

“Don't eat at the one in Fayetteville. The location used to be Fabe's and that was great. The locations for Alpaca in Sanford and Raleigh are great, too, but I got food from the one in Fayetteville the other day and was so disappointed. The chicken was not nearly as flavorful as it should have been and the green sauce was like that as well. It was just sad. I suppose I should have guessed based on the two staff members running the counter. They looked and acted like they wanted to be anywhere else.”

“Since moving to Wake Forest a month ago I've been trying to support locally owned places to eat and shop rather then going with the big chains. Leave Starbucks behind and support an awesome local coffee shop.

Amazing coffee from growers that are fairly compensated for their work. Coffee that is roasted locally and correctly by coffee roasting experts. By far this is the best coffee I've found in the area. You can take the experience home by buying a bag of beans. This coffee is not the cheapest but the quality is easily tasted and worth every penny.

The atmosphere is awesome and great for meeting with friends or working away from the office. No overpowering music or loud noises here! Just a nice selection of music that compliments that atmosphere and not overpowers it.

The food is limited as the focus is on the coffee here. However they have small selection of muffins and filled croissants choose from.

The staff is always pleasant and ready to help but don't try to upsell you on some sugary specialty drink - they all know how to make a great cup of black coffee via their pour over if that's what you like (drip is available as well and always well brewed).

Black and White has become my new third place and office away from the office.”

They offer a wide range of spiciness - no spice, a little spice, medium, spicy, and Thai spice. I ordered medium as I love spicy food but realize levels of spiciness vary. In this case, the medium was SO spicy it burned even my lips and over-powered the flavor. So, even if you like spicy food, I recommend stepping down a notch or two. I really wanted o enjoy the flavors and just could not but I will try it again and go with little spice.”

Last time our request for a dish to be mild was missed and tonight, that same dish was inedible. Tough, strings of meat throughout (see image). There was more spit out than made in to our bellies and this dish isn’t cheap but If it’s a quality issue, I’d rather pay a few bucks more but I’m inclined to think it’s an overcooking issue. “service tonight 4/25 is very rough. I understand it's a busy night, but there is absolutely no need for the assistant manager to get an attitude, when he rang up the wrong item. (ordered large drinks, he rang up large fries. didnt notice until after we paid) when asked where the large drink was, he got an attitude and said that we didn't order a second drink. I've had countless good experiences here, ans will continue to come back. BUT, just because it's busy, there's absolutely NO reason to get an attitude with customers. especially when you're in the wrong.”

“Normally, yes, but tonight was horrible!. It took over an hour to get our food; the pizza was terrible — was supposed to be half plain cheese and The other had lots of veggies on it. Over a 3rd of it had the veggies- way more than half, so my kids were very disappointed as they only like cheese. Pizza was very sloppy also. My salad was also incorrect - it came with things on it I specified that should not be on there. They clearly were rushing. I will not order again on a Saturday evening! Very disappointed.”

“Every time I go here, the food is delicious, cooked to perfection every time. The wonton soup was delicious, the Singapore mei fun is my favorite, and my fiancée loves the chicken lo mein. Excellent customer service, I’ve been going here since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Any 1 star review is just a bad egg reviewer..I can guarantee. They are always serving food. Every time I go, there are always other patrons happily waiting for their food. Trust me, the locals would have had this place shut down if that 1 star review were true. We love this place, and the negative Nancy 1 star reviewer is not the type of person you want advice from, their review is charged with hate and ignorance.”

“The best subway location I’ve been to. They make the subs so organized and well. They never fall apart after opening up the wrapper, unlike a lot of other locations. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, the setting is super clean. Very prompt service. 10/10”

“My husband and I visited Grandma's Diner while visiting during the Thanksgiving holiday with our family. We found this establishment to be pretty darn good! We were served well and the food was delicious and hot. I'm a stickler when it comes to cleanliness and I found the restaurant to be clean along with the bathroom. The prices were not bad which is a plus. When we visit again we will definitely stop by and grab breakfast 🙂. I give Grandma's Diner a five star rating. K.Church”
