Michael had shrimp and grits and we had a nice, romantic dinner. Evan was our server and he treated us like we were VIPs. Highly recommend this restaurant is so close to our home.“

“If I am having a bad day I immediately go to the Copper Penny and get the 109 Chestnut chicken sandwich. Greatest sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are amazing. in my opinion, if the staff is good, you know the food’s going to be good!!!! The wait can be long, but wait in that line!!! I cannot stress that enough.You will NOT be disappointed. The only time I’ve ever been disappointed by this place is when they discontinued, the sweet potato fries. But overall, it’s worth the wait and it’s worth the stop 12/10 recommend.“

There was a large party of lovely ladies speaking French, a smattering of children visiting with their mothers, and a few other visitors such as ourselves enjoying the lovely fall Wilmington weather and the lunch fare available. You really must go if you are in the Wilmington area. It is a wonderful experience for young and old alike.“

“Took one of my old bosses there Today. Today was German Cuisine day. We started with soup, I had trout and then Apple Strudel. The student wait staff was very attentive and kept a close eye on my iced tea. With my strudel, I had some coffee. This is by far one of the Best Hidden secrets of Wilmington. Only thing is not everyone can get in. So if you can get in to have one of their Wednesday lunches, I would say jump on it. Staff, food and ambiance is outstanding.“

I ended up adding on hushpuppies, which were also delicious. The diner is a step back in time and absolutely adorable with counter and booth seating. My burger came with fries and homemade sweet tea, which was very refreshing.The owner was kind and invited me back. I told her the next time I am in, I am getting the fried apple pie and ice cream!“

He recommended the lemon ricotta pancakes, I was skeptical but thought I would step out of my comfort zone and MAN WERE THEY GOOD! If I’m ever in the area I know where I’m eating for brunch! I hope To come across Justin as my waiter again! My glass was always full! (Which is a big deal for me)“

“I got the spicy chicken salad wrap. Trying to eat a little lighter these days. Most of the time a chicken wrap at a restaurant is a mediocre afterthought, but not here. It was delicious and actually decently spicy with Sriracha mayo and fresh jalapenos inside. The cheesesteak is great here but it's nice that the quality extends to the rest of the menu as well!“
