“My favorite place to eat! I eat at Montford almost daily and it never gets old. I love finding out what the special will be each week and then proceed to immediately start to salivate from the anticipation of sinking my teeth into the delicious treat. If the weekly special isn’t what you are feeling that day then that’s fine because you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Once you go a few times and get to know the people that work there, it’s not hard to see why the food is so good. They have some extremely polite and talented people working there.“

“Saw a comedy show at DSSOLVR - it's a great space that's very open and welcoming. They have a large selection of brews, plus a few N/A choices. I really enjoyed the THC beverage and one of their N/A beers.

There's plenty of street parking (with meters) as well as an hourly parking near by.“

“There were four of us - two locals, two from NYC - and we all enjoyed the experience. Great service from Tenille, who took excellent care of us by being personable, knowledgeable, helping with various selections, and was gracious and funny to boot. The food - chopped salads for all, then chicken, pork chop, short ribs and trout - all excellently prepared. For dessert we shared a decadent lavender-chocolate artful creation that was delicious. Cocktails, wines, coffee all fantastic. A terrific outing.“

“Visited on my most recent trip to Asheville and was probably one of the best meals on the trip. We got a variety of different arepas(including a vegetarian), yucca fries and corn fritters. The yucca fries were by far my favorite of the sides, the vegetarian arepa was delicious but would have been a little elevated by a crunchy element. My sister got the Ropa Vieja and thought it was delish but would have liked a fresh element to top the dish like cabbage. The Pernil arepa was also a favorite but a little more sauce on the top would have put the dish over the top!
Overall, definitely worth a trip but don’t be surprised if you have to wait a couple minutes for a seat as there is limited seating inside. Service was great and they were very attentive.“

“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!“

“I requested a 2 night stay in my Harvest Host / Boondockers app. I got a quick approval in mins. The brewery was easy to get to, had lots of parking & there was a small local band playing when I arrived. Sky was my very friendly bartender. I asked for a beer suggestion than was on the lighter side. He suggested the Cowboy Poet. He was spot on. I also ordered food from the pizza place. Was really delicious. We were passing through town on our way back from camping, got 2 iced lattes, a cinnamon coffee cake muffin, and a blueberry walnut banana bread. “The food and service were fantastic! However, the reason I will return every time I visit Asheville is not actually food related. The owners fed their employees and their families the entire time they were shut down for Covid. The owner’s husband is involved in many global humanitarian projects. While I was reading the Cantina’s historical wall display, the researcher responsible for the wall came and spent about 20 minutes chatting with me about the area’s history. I was moved by life work of the people associated with the restaurant and will return in support of goodness in the world.“
