“We ordered the special Trout Fillets, and it was excellent overall. The asparagus was the only disappointment. We also ordered truffle fries and brussel sprouts as starters, and loved both. Our cocktails (Rob Roy and Mango Mojito) were outstanding. Service as excellent. Friendly and attentive, but not overly attentive. The restaurant was quite full, and we were still able to converse and hear each other fine (and I can struggle with this). Whenever we have out of town guests we like to bring them to Green Gateau because we are seldom disappointed. We love that it is a Lincoln original and has survived so many years.“

“Went to lunch with my family and some friends on a Sunday afternoon. Manager was quick to accommodate our group as there were only smaller tables available at the time. He and his staff were very friendly with us, the food was great, and I would recommend this place to anyone. It's great to have a place with Keno that is stylish, comfortable atmosphere (for all members of the family) with a very friendly staff to visit on a regular basis. We will be regulars here soon.“

“We hadn’t been to Stauffer’s since before Covid. A friend told me the Honest Abe’s had boughten it so we decided to try it for lunch yesterday and everything was delicious! The rolls and biscuits were homemade. I had turkey dinner and it was real roast turkey, not deli meat. We had pie, too, and it was so good. The server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be eating there often!“

“My husband and I stopped for dinner at Don and Millie's on 56th Street in Lincoln. The food, as always, was outstanding (they by far make the best cheeseburger in Lincoln...hand-formed beef patties with just the right amount of juiciness)....when we left, FOUR different employees acknowledged us. The worker sweeping the floor told us to have a great evening, and he thanked us for coming, the person working in the kitchen thanked us and told us to have a nice evening, the guy wiping tables thanked us and told us to come back, and the person at the order counter said goodbye and thanked us for coming. WOW! Good food and great service! You just don't find that kind of employee kindness and attention anymore, so Don and Millies now has a permanent customer with us!“

“This place is known for their salads. My daughter-in-law ordered the Double Berry Chicken variety and was pleased. My son went with a classic the Single Don.

Their other famous offering is the Double Don which is a favorite burger of my husband's. I got the Frenchee kids meal, gotta get a Large side of pickles to accompany.

Kids love their chicken and mini burgers. Plus some of the best fries and rings ever. Was given lots of yummy take-home ranch for our leftovers!

The grilled shrimp Alfredo is wonderful. They were generous with the shrimp, which I appreciated. The cheese curd is also great choice of appetizer. The complimentary croissant is nice and fresh. I would recommend eating it before it gets cold. When it's warm, it's nice and soft, but when it gets cold, it's very flaky and crusty and it does not taste the same. The staffs are nice and very accommodating. Overall, the place is 4.5/5.“

If I had a critique it would be that it needed more of the house made steak sauce, but that didn't ruin my experience at all. The chips and queso side that came with it was fantastic. My wife got the chicken wrap and thoroughly enjoyed it other than it had a bit too much lettuce. Nothing worth crying about. The fried pickles are always amazing along with the sweet potato waffle fries. Be ready to fight for a table as the place is busy every time I've been there. Don't let how busy it is deter you as this place is an absolute gem.“

“I phoned a week before the date we wanted to make reservation. Trevor was very nice and said I could reserve a long table for up to 15 guests. I verified number of guests and called a couple days before arriving on the 24th to confirm the number attending. We were very impressed with Trevor and the quality of food was outstanding.. I had the beer macaroni and cheese and loved it. A couple people had Rueben's and were equally impressed. Burgers and chicken strips were large. I was impressed with nice side salad. The salmon was beautifully plated too. Highly recommend coming to the Mettle Grill. You will not be disappointed The only downside was the chairs were very heavy and if you put gliders on chair legs it would make it easier for an older group to move the chairs. Trevor was very pleasant and efficient. Will definitely return.“

“My husband and I have loved going to Lazlo’s patio for 7 years. The food is normally great, not always hot, but the patio has been wonderful. Too bad they have decided to leave the Bird Nests hanging from the top of the patio. Bird feathers landed in our food, so we paid and just left. I love birds too but netting can be put up to STOP the nest and feathers from falling in your food. Yech!!!!“
