“Imagine walking into a gas station to pick up a drink, opening the door and smelling your grandmother's kitchen? I just had to try the hand battered tenders and bone in fried chicken and potato wedges! While waiting for my lunch regulars came in for sandwiches, roll-ups and cheesesteaks, the special for the day. There were some picnic tables outside but we grabbed our bucket of chicken and took it to go! The chicken was crunchy and crisp while remaining moist on the inside. Such a treat! While the atmosphere is not fancy it's friendly!“

“My family recently booked a private function in the Eisenhower room at Lamies. Everything was truly exceptional. Michelle and her team went out of their way to guarantee that our extra large party was perfectly cared for. I highly recommend considering the Old Salt for your private functions. “Excellent food and drinks! A fun spot to go for martinis. I've lived in the area for over 4 years and hadn't stepped in until last night. The pecan crusted chicken is SO TASTY. I would order that again in a heartbeat. We also had the buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy and hot and the sweet potato fries were a nice accompaniment. They also brought out rolls with strawberry butter.

I tried 2 martinis, the grapefruit cosmo and the lemon drop (but I switched the blueberry vodka to raspberry vodka). Both were really good.

The place is split into 2 sections. The right side is the bar, which was packed and we weren't able to get a spot there. The dining room area to the left is a little bit quieter.“

Special shout out to John, the best, most efficient and attentive bartender that I’ve known in all my years of dining out. We sat downstairs, which had a lovely atmosphere. There are high ceilings, history on the walls and an open dining area. “Visited Fury’s for a private event. The food was put together wonderfully and deliciously and everyone was very attentive to our needs. My cocktail as perfect. I remember these old mills (Clarostat) when I was a young girl and I was pleasantly surprised to see how they’ve been transformed! There’s an outdoor deck with picnic tables on the water. If I ever cruise back thru Dover again I would definitely make it a stop to eat and enjoy a cocktail.“

Kelsey the coordinator was very helpful with the flow of the day and helping us at rehearsal. We gave the inn many tubs of decorations and the staff out together our dream wedding. “Nick did a phenomenal job accommodating my large and complicated order, requiring the kitchen crew to make a few items fresh to order. I wanted to try items from the lunch menu since they weren’t available on the dinner menu. They rang up as $13.79 per item instead of $8.99 per item shown on the menu. When I informed Nick about the price discrepancy, he resolved the matter very quickly and gave me a new receipt with the correct prices listed. The service Nick provided was exceptional, so I will definitely return to this location in the future based on that.“
