“Great sushi place. It's a very small restaurant that could only hold a few tables. Food is great. I did take out here because it was much quicker. I would come back again for the sushi rolls. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There are great lunch specials here. Food came quick as soon as I ordered. You can free the sushi chef making the food from the front door. It was good to see them creating the food.“

“I was so, so, so pleasantly surprised by this place! I went in for a quick lunch expecting a typical greasy takeout meal. I recieved delicious, crispy katsu with a side of rice and soup. It was a hibachi sit-down quality meal for a fraction of the price and wait time. The lady working the counter (may 8th at like 2:00) was so sweet and polite. Next time I come here I'll make sure I have more cash for a bigger tip! Thank you for the surprisingly great lunch right next to my job lol“

“We found ourselves in the Red Bank area for an event and were looking for a late meal that wouldn’t break the bank. RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.“

Try the sweetheart roll or surprisingly enough, if you are craving something with a bit of mango with a nice tuna- try the Mexican roll! Both creative and pleasing to the taste buds. I liked it better than sushi that cost 3x as much, everything was really fresh and the special rolls were really creative combinations, we had the Krusty Krab roll and the Black Angel Roll and were blown away. The fried rice had a really great flavor too, a sign of a great chef to make fried rice memorable!! I understand what people are saying about having to wait a long time for their order to be ready. I wish they accepted online payment for pickup orders because it seems that they don’t start cooking orders until customers come in and pay.“

“Went here last minute with family. Had general tsos tofu (steamed) udon veggie dish, tofu and veggie soup and a family member got sushi and miso soup. Everything was very good and the portions were impressive. Appreciate multiple vegan options

“My wife and I patronize our favorite restaurants, usually for a specific dish that they serve that is better than similar dishes offered elsewhere. Every Thursday we go to Szechuan Tokyo specifically for the Negimaki, the Japanese dish consisting of broiled strips of beef marinated in teriyaki sauce and rolled with scallions. While it is not equal to the Negimaki to which I was accustomed when living in New York, it is the best to be found anywhere around this neck of the woods. Since it is BYOB, we usually stop at the Foodtown, located in the same strip mall, to pick up a bottle of Sake Wine to complement our meal. The service here is excellent - very friendly, fast, courteous, and efficient. The salad and miso soup, which are included with the meal, are always fresh and very tasty. My wife and I each get a California Roll, which is also quite good, as an appetizer before eating the Negamaki entrée. Every course arrives at the table at just the right time - never rushed. Best of all, the prices are extremely reasonable for such an enjoyable dining experience.“
