“If you like pickles, the vegan Chicago dog is the best hotdog in the city. It’s better than any dog I had in Chicago. I feel silly for paying $9 for a hotdog, but it’s very good and does come with a bag of chips. All this place does is hotdogs, and they do it well Updated from previous review on 2026-08-02“

“We stumbled across this place yesterday, we dipped in from the cold for a break and had a pleasant surprise, the staff were so welcoming and made sure we got a seat at the bar... later realised I had read about the bar previously, the hot dogs are a lovely touch and drinks amazing prices. x“

“Now THAT is a Korean corn dog. My first Korean corn dog at another spot was honestly not my favorite, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when I tried Jongro, I finally understood the hype.
The corn dog was really good, the potatoes were crispy and flavorful, and it definitely wasn’t bland. From what I’ve seen, Korean corn dogs can come with half a hot dog and cheese on top, but I personally wish it was a full hot dog with cheese wrapped around it.
Either way, I really enjoyed this one. Definitely add ketchup and honey mustard. I think you can also add sugar to it if that’s your preference.“

“Tried it today first time since I moved to Carteret. Food was great and the owner was so nice. He prepared the food while telling the story and history of this town and his hot dog stand. Honestly this was the best food experience I had in Carteret, would definitely visit again whenever I get a chance. Tommy you rock 🙌“

“Absolutely bomb stop for some dogs. Prices were good. Staff was all formerly and helpful. Their combo meals are good deals for nyc. The dogs were snappy and buns were soft. Gotta get cooked onions mustard and sauerkraut. Classic and didn't disappoint. The papaya juice was just the right amount of sweet and cold to counter the dogs. Iconic nyc dog shop. “You really can't go wrong with any of Red's food.And such reasonable prices compared to other island vendors. My personal favorite is her sweet onions and bacon dog, and her chili with potato sticks. Sounds odd I know, but trust me...she has so many unique toppings to make any combo. Then my other fav is an open faced loaded knish. She also does burgers, and baked potatoes, and thee BEST CUP OF CHILI!!! RUN, DONT WALK!!! YOU'LL BE HOOKED.“

“I go here often for lunch. Plenty of variety, and fairly quick service. I always get the ribs from Tejas + kids mac n cheese. Everything else was good too, but the Thai food here is lacking (they used italian pasta for the pad see eew (not rice noodles) and pasta was very al dente both times i tried here). Havent seen if they improved for that restaurant yet but I always come back for Tejas!“

“First noticed while watching the movie Fools rush in. Since my last name is Gray I always wanted to go there. Been there in 2010 the first time and immediately fell in love. A couple a weeks ago I went to New York on short notice and the first thing on my to do list was going there. Say what you want. Those are the best hot dogs on the planet. And I will go there again everyone I visit NYC. You just have to love them❤️“

“Chicken over rice bowl is $10 and sooo worth it. It's so good. Prepared quickly and efficiently. I would maybe go light on the red sauce as it is very spicy, or remove it altogether (if sensitive to spice.)
Sometimes the chicken pieces have a weird texture or could be grilled a bit better. But that might be a personal preference thing. Fries are really good.“

“On vacation as a joke, we searched for "the worst bar near me" which led us to this amazing little place. We had the absolute best food! The waitstaff was attentive, fun, and helpful. Prices & portions were fair. The whole vibe of the area was low-key & pleasant with the dog-friendly patio, next door local shops, and other patrons. If these Wisconsintes find ourselves in Jersey City again, we will absolutely make a dedicated return to the Wurstbar!“

“Second time coming here. Read some reviews about this place, some were positive, others were not. As someone who just discovered this place, it is a very nice spot. Price is pretty reasonable especially with everything going up in price. It was pretty empty but that could be due to being the middle of the week. Food was pretty good and the servers are really nice, will definitely be coming back!“

“Listen. LISTEN. For me to search for this food truck on Google Maps after grabbing takeout, for the sole purpose of giving them a stellar review? You know that’s the best chicken biryani you’ve ever had. And I’m not saying that lightly. It was fluffy, perfectly cooked, generous with the protein, and a melt in your mouth flavour explosion. So good, in fact, that I might scrap other spots on my list and revisit this gem a few more times before the end of my trip. This place deserves more love!“
