“A very unique yet emotional experience in a pub. We didn’t know the history with the building until we got seated and talked with Mike(?), who I believe is the owner or manager at the least. He sat with us and explained the patches all over the walls, how pre-9/11 O’Hara’s was a common hangout for the firefighters from firehouse 10, showed us personal pictures, and how they rebuilt after the attacks. Probably one of my favorite places we’ve been after living here for a few months. Definitely worth the trip over if you’re going to the memorial and museum!“
“Definitely highly recommended!Very friendly and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good and "spicy" ;)Special credits to Christopher and the new employee JeffThey helped us with the choice stress. In the netherlands we say: Dankjewel toppers!Greetings from Urk (Netherlands) ?“
“You would be making a mistake by not coming to this pub. Jade was by far one of the best bartenders I’ve ever experienced in my life. The level of service, atmosphere, and quality of drink was perfect. She genuinely made me feel at home and like a regular on my first visit. I can’t praise this establishment enough and look forward to my next pint there.“
“Greatest family restaurant in the world. I’ve recently moved to NJ and the place and people and food that my wife and I miss the most is Jody’s .. we were every other Thursday lunch people before we moved and now we need or “ Jodys Fix “ whenever we hit the North Shore of our Island….Today was terrific. Anyone who hasn’t experienced The Gobbler at Jodys is missing one of the best sandwiches anywhere. Thanks to Terence and the entire Jody’s Team who never fail to take care of us like Family !!!!!“
“Good Irish Breakfast, despite the lack of puddings and the distinctly non-Irish bacon. Good Scotch eggs, too, and pretty good prices. Lovely old space, with plenty of room. But the highlight was our waiter, Pete - a lovely guy.Parking: It's on 11th & 46th, so I'd imagine the parking around there isn't too bad.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room, highchairsWheelchair accessibility: All one level and no steps“
“Thankyou so much team scallywags!! Iv loved my time in NYC and have been in everyday. The atmosphere, the staff, the food are sensational. To the staff Roisen, Toni, Cassie, Catherine and Crystal… best customer service ever !!! I will miss you !!Keep being amazing !Much loveHannah from Australia ??“
“I've been here a few times with family, and everyone loves the experience. The food is great, the staff is always nice and from time to time you can listen to live music while you eat. If you're not feeling like having a sit down dinner there's also a big bar that'll make anything you want.“
“First time in a pub and first time watching a rugby game, I wasn't feeling well, so I ordered the chicken soup. It was so delicious, reminded me of my grandma's soup. My daughter ordered the Buffalo wings and a chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed. We also tried the pork sliders tasty but super salty. We will definitely eat here again.“
“The food was great, and service was good on a Sunday night. Recommend the pretzel with beer cheese and the Mac n cheese bites! The potato skins and wings with the Timmy dry rub were good as well. The entrees of burgers, shrimp basket, and shepherd's pie were good as well, but the appetizers were the standouts.“
“First time in NYC celebrating 25th Anniversary. Stopped in for a quick beer and met a wonderful bartender. What a wonderful place, I’ve spent many years visiting Irish bars, this is a top choice. Will definitely find a way to get back before we leave. Owner showed up and spent some time talking with me and my wife. Highly recommend,“
“This is a great little spot with reasonable prices. I have not tried the food, but it's been one of my go-to spots during my last couple of visits to NYC.Last summer it was my 21-year-old daughter's first Irish Pub. She loved it too.“
“Food is always excellent. When ordering for delivery people taking the order are always extremely polite and helpful. Delivery always takes less time than expected. The delivery people are very polite also. Same wonderful experience whether we dine in or get take out. Would give 10 Stars !!!“
“After watching a college basketball game, we went to this local bar/ pub that I had visited before and I was not disappointed. There were patrons who knew each other and were actually pleased to see each other sort of like the series Cheers only better. The ambiance, food, drinks, and music was just right to enjoy the afternoon . Our server was friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back.“
“I absolutely love it here. The staff are very friendly. The food is exceptional and the range of drinks available is awesome. I'm sad that I'll be heading back home to Australia. If Iived in New York this would definitely be my local drinking establishment. I can't recommend it highly “
“Great Pub!! we came across him the first evening of our stay because he was next to our host and.. wow!!! The atmosphere is great, the people lovely, a delicious choice of beer and the evening waiter is a real sweetheart ?? The last evening we ate there and it was delicious!!! the extra good fish and chips ??“
“3x 5 stars, nothing more is possible. We were there twice, both times very satisfied and full. Quality and quantity well above average. The Guinness is running and is good. The corned beef on bread is a huge recommendation, as is the shepher's pie. The starters are also plentiful and the quantity is more suitable for two people. Of course, the great service should not go unmentioned. A strong recommendation that still offers good value for money.“
“Abience of an old Irish pub. Unlike the old NY days, staffed by local New Yorkers. Good, pleasant service, but takes a little away from the authentic nature of the place (don't think any NY pub has real Irish staff anymore, except many still do as bartenders). Had the traditional Shepard's pie and Irish whiskey, which were both perfect. They used the correct creme for the Irish Whiskey, not whipped cream. The burger was VERY good too!Really an enjoyable financial district place with a fun outdoor street-side seating area that looks like an old NY Bus.“
“Me and my girlfriend spent a week in NYC over the Christmas period and found ourselves in this amazing bar most nights. The atmosphere is perfect with lots of friendly people. Our bartenders Sean and Simon were outstanding and we couldn't fault them one bit, they both suggested places we should check out before we left nyc, and always went the extra mile to help. Overall they are a great pair of lads and we will definitely be back when we next visit!“
“I’m going to start out this review by saying that the nachos are worth the visit in and of themselves. Probably some of the best nachos I’ve had in a couple of years. It tasted like there was homemade tortillasWe sat at the window in the girls behind the bar were incredibly quick friendly, and checked up on us several times. The bathrooms were clean, and there was plenty of hilarious writing on the walls to read.We went during happy hour, and the drinks for a reasonably priced, and the Irish coffee was excellent for a hot drink on a cold day“
“My brother found this restaurant and they were completely booked so we had to try it again the next night.4:30pm reservation and we were one of the few guests there. By a little after 5pm, the entire place was filled with guests. The food was very good but less Irish than we expected.Still very delicious.“
“What a great experience at Slattery’s Midtow Pub for the UNC Tar Heels game night. The food was great and served hot. We loved the burgers, wings, fish & chips, burritos, nachos, to name a few. The service was impeccable. Claire C was second to none! Fun, loving, and hard-working, she made sure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. A shout out to the John and Justin, the owners, for pulling off a bar party for over 500 people complete with DJ and the Carolina fight song!“
“Loved the cozy little pub feel on a chilly night. Our group of 8 was seated immediately upon arrival for our reservation. The waiter was extremely attentive, friendly and on the ball. Dry rub wings and the sticky toffee pudding were a bit hit with our whole group. The main meals had healthy portion sizes. Great food and vibe all around.“
“I have come here so many times and Amanda has been the best waitress I’ve had in so long. She’s sweet, attentive, and makes us feel like VIP even when it’s packed and she can barely weave through the the crowd. Never had a bad experience with any staff, but we come back to see her she makes our experience more enjoyable and like we are at home. Love this bar (and Amanda) so much!“
“Really friendly staff and a great plate of food. Wings were really delicious and the nachos were fully loaded and tasty. Would reccomend to all visitorsThe Hazy IPA was also really good. Sports viewing excellent too, they put the Six Nations on for us so we could see England beat Wales.“
“Awesome ? Appetizers Great Food. Ice Cold Beer...Try the Shepherds Pie OmFG it's amazing. I love this place. Bartenders are Awesome. That White Room Band always kills it. Music by Rush, Zep, Who, Styx, Sabbath, Cream, Pink Floyd, STP and much more.“
“A snug and cozy little pub, the Westbury, like Blaggards on the same block, has pretty good lunch specials. I recommend sitting at the bar to interact with the bartender, as they were very friendly to us on our first time there. The decorations at the time were also around the holidays, so there were lights and Christmas items strewn about inside. The food is pretty good, and their chips are nice and thickly sliced. It is decently crispy. The fish that came with was only thinly breaded, which was a nice surprise. They also make pretty good cocktails. There is also a nice selection of other typical gastropub-like food on their menu.Overall, not a bad spot for the local salary people to come for lunch. For the usual sports event periods, it can get very crowded.“
“This place is a nice Irish pub! ?? The Long Hall Pub in Murray Hill ? is a wonderful spot to grab beer ?, watch ? a game ?, and socialize! They have a large selection of beers ? and lots of indoor seating. I wish I knew about this place sooner!“
“Great food, great service, nice atmosphere! Lovely Server from Dublin who was a sweetheart. I got Chicken Fingers with Mashed Potatoes and French Onion Soup. Very good. My friend got Chicken Marsala and Clam Chowder and he's generally a regular there and we were both quite happy. Highly recommend. First rate.Vegetarian options: Loads of salads and vegetablesParking: Parking is adjacent and free.“
“It was a great place to hangout in the Jersey City area. Went there just to use the restroom but ended up staying there for 4 hours. Had 6 beers are 4 cocktails and it just costed $80. So it’s not expensive. The ambience is really good for a sports bar and the place is pretty clean. Please do try it out when you are nearby“
“Great, cozy atmosphere. Top service, nice, attentive staff.Very tasty food with a good price-performance ratio. We would have liked to have another dessert but our little son cried and wanted to leave. Best regards Mona Sebastian and Malik from Germany.Wheelchair accessibility: Access with a stroller was possible without any problems. Wheelchair ramp available.“
“Location was good, Service needed an additional person, could have had a host. Waited a bit to be seated. Ambiance was good. The onion soup was very good. The cheeseburger was ok, a little dry, but tasty, Fries were excellent. I ordered cheesecake to go, it was awful, I do know my cheesecakes, this one came out of a box, like a jello brand no bake, the whipped cream was not even cool whip. Disappointed especially the cost was more than a fine French pastry cheesecake you can get anywhere in New York. Not sure why they serve such a thing in New York City, almost unheard of. Sorry guys for this review as I love NY Pubs.“
“Good heart American pub food (Don't really get how the food is Irish) also a good selection of Irish beers, that's probably the Irish part.Friendly staff and a good atmosphere, very busy in the evening with people coming from the garden or on their way homeVegetarian options: A few vegetarian offerings (it's not really their thing)definitely a few dishes.“
“Went to this bar after bartender at the Valerie lost our credit card. The lady behind the bar was kind and promptly served our drinks to get over the trauma at the Valerie.Ranting aside, chili lime wings and calamari were amazing. Great crunch, well seasoned, great flavor, and satisfying serving size.“
“Cute little bar/restaurant. Friendly staff & awesome waitress (Susan I believe.) We actually thought she was the owner, as she was so nice. Smashburger was on point!! Apps were perfect. (French onion soup was a disappointment..extremely salty.) Great drinks & prices. Overall, will def be returning!“
“This is a solid pub in the area. It's just off Atlantic Ave, near the Barclays center. The inside is very spacious and it seems great for groups. When we walked in, they weren't playing the premier league game, but they happily put it on when we asked. The service was very attentive and consistently checked up on us, even when the bar started getting pretty busy. We ordered the wings and they were so delicious. They were so juicy and covered in sauce. I usually don't like wings and wouldn't order them, but these changed my mind. For drinks, I got a cider and it was as expected. My partner got an ale, which apparently tasted stale and as if they didn't clean the pipes. He tried a few other beers and said the same. I couldn't really taste the difference, but something to keep in mind if you're very familiar with beer. I'd keep this place in mind if you need a sports bar in the area!“
“Nice deal with brunch Sat & Sun for bottomless, you can do Mimosas, Rum punch, Bloody Mary's, Martha our server was great, really kind, always bring us more mimosas haha, we ordered burgers with fries and they were very tasty!! I would love to come back here anytime.“
“One of the top places in midtown. Everyone is awesome Kelly , Angie , Kate , Ellie and Stephanie. Also stop by and see Tom the owner. If people gave a bad review I can assure you the problem is the person writing. Food and service is great. Even the cooks are great. Go visit.“
“Still an Irish pub in nearby Midtown West with welcoming gesture, classic Irish dishes and huge bar brings you in the mood after work or lunch outings . It has classic atmosphere and staff are friendly as it possible get since they all Irish . Secret gem ?“
“Stout is a multilevel, spacious sports bar with several seating or standing areas. Everywhere you look there’s a large screen playing a game. I came with a group of 10 people on Super Bowl Sunday right when the lower level opened and we were able to get a large table & chairs for our group without the required $40 per person spend in the restaurant seating area. Their Buffalo wings are delicious - crispy on the outside, well sauced, and moist. The bartender was helpful when I ordered an off-menu cocktail. Would definitely come back!“
“This has been a fav stop for many years. They always had a great lunch special (I worked at Lord & Taylor which was across the street ?) I feel they've been there 100yrs. The ONLY business that survived (the pandemic)on the block. I hope they survive another hundred?❤️“
“Visited for Restaurant Week and enjoyed the menu, especially the Fish and Chip which were perfect comfort food for a winter's night. First floor level is more boisterous but upstairs was quiet enough for conversation. Our drink order got a bit screwed up, hopefully that's an anomaly.“
“This restaurant was a perfect stop for our family. We expect to pay more for great food in Manhattan, but I was pleasantly surprised at the more-than-reasonable prices. My kids chicken fingers and fries were delicious (& it came with complimentary ice cream). My coconut shrimp & mango pico tacos were a perfect blend of crunchy, sweet and yummy. Our server - Lexi - was sweet, funny and friendly. She gave fabulous drink recommendations (great white sangria) and checked on us often. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend St. Patrick’s to families of all shapes and sizes. Well done!Kid-friendliness: My kids’ chicken fingers were perfectly prepared, and my son said his fries were “amazing”. He’s picky, so this was high praise.“
“Me and my friend went to this Bar and didn't expect the food to taste so good but we were astounded at the flavor or the food and the preparation of the food. The food was so good that we ordered some to go. What we had was the Meatball with mushroom gravy and also had mozzarella Sticks and marinara sauce.“
“Went to the city with my kids and in laws to see Rockefeller Center and were looking for a nice pub to eat quick. Service was very good. Prices were very reasonable considering the location right in the theatre district. The burger was excellent and cooked perfectly and what you what expect from an Irish pub. The only complaint we would have is that kids chicken fingers were very tough and rubbery. If you are looking for a casual quick eatery McHales is a good choice.“
“I had a going away party at Shades of Green, and it ended up being one of the most memorable nights of my life. The owner, JP, and all the bartenders were absolutely incredible at ensuring the night went smoothly. I definitely recommend this space for private events, as it's very reasonably priced and a perfect spot to make the best memoies!“
“This is my new go to spot! Kitchen is open late and food is yummy, try the chicken pot pie! The bar staff is amazing, friendly, attentive and the drinks are perfect every time. Our favorite Bartender is Fin, who always treats us like VIPs!“
“This might be my favorite bar in midtown! My co-workers and I like to see movies at the Kips Bay AMC across the street and come in here for a few drinks after. The staff is always amazing, they have a real fire place, and the atmosphere is cozy and warm even when they are packed. If you are in Manhattan and looking for an Irish Pub... Do yourself a favor and avoid all the other ones and come here!“
“The bartender (young female) was welcoming and attentive. The crowd and the music selection on the jukebox clearly lacked diversity. My boyfriend and I felt slightly out of place. We did enjoy the typical bar food, the fair prices and the outdoor patio. We are inclined to give it another try but if we sense that uncomfortable "out of place" feeling again and the blatant lack of diversity, we will certainly not come back.“
