“Checked this place out Thursday afternoon for lunch I ordered oxtail and my friend ordered Stew chicken both were good and I also ordered a side of Jerk chicken to go chicken was good as well I just didn’t like that they don’t put the jerk sauce on chicken or offer it on the side but other than that I have no complaints“

“We will very much miss this restaurant when the entire chain closes at the beginning of April. My wife and I, as well as our friends, have enjoyed the food since the Cherry Hill restaurant first opened so many years ago. Closing the chain doesn't make sense. This place is always popular, especially at dinner time and new menu items are introduced each season. Caribbean themed restaurants are not plentiful, unlike the dozens of steak house and sports bar restaurants in the Darden's (the parent company) restaurant portfolio. I would love to reach out and shake some sense into the idiot that made the decision to close the chain, because clearly this person has no sense and or even cares. “I love this place. If you are ever in philly you must try this Ghanian spot! If you like spicy this is the place. If you like rice get the jollof! My favorite is light soup with fufu. The peanut litter soup is bomb! Matter fact just eat everything. Only come if you have time to enjoy. Service is not typical of most American dinner time standards. Call ahead to ensure they are open that weekend! I wish they delivered via an app. But still worth going for the experience.“

“As someone who isn’t Jamaican or African and isn’t from the area, this cuisine wasn’t really my cup of tea personally, but there were definitely a few things I enjoyed. The jerk chicken and mac and cheese were really good, and the oxtails were good too. I wasn’t a huge fan of the rice or collard greens, but my cousin liked both, so it really just comes down to personal preference. The oxtail meal was $22 and came with rice and two sides, while the mini jerk chicken was $8 and came with rice. The portions are definitely worth the price, especially if you enjoy this type of cuisine. Overall, I can see why people who love these flavors would really enjoy this place.“

“The breakfast is delicious!! I got the eggs, potatoes and hot sausage and the fried shrimp and grits. I felt like everything was good but the grits could have used more time. The potatoes were some of the best homefries I’ve had in a while. The flavor on the fried shrimp will be something to go back for alone! So glad I tried it out. I will be back. Normally go for the curry chicken and cabbage but now I can go earlier for breakfast too!“
