“I have had this place before through a friend bringing it over, and it was good. I never actually went myself until today, to end up being somewhat disappointed. I live about 5 or so mins away from the shop. So I place my order online, a double sausage and cheese on an egg bagel, a side of hash brown patties and a large iced coffee. The coffee was fine, the hash browns were so greasy and completely cold and my sandwich order was wrong and pretty cold as well. Would I revisit this place? Possibly. But I don't know if I will go out of my way again when there's a bagel shop down the street from me.“

Also bought muffins to take home, and aside from a cute box to house them in, found these to be made in house, crispy up top, and moist down below. No need to hire Newman to clean these, Elaine... “Delicious bagels and not too expensive if you're just getting a bagel and cream cheese. I tried the cinnamon raisin with the goat cream cheese and it was SO good! Visited on a Saturday morning and it was packed but they move quickly. Grab a ticket as soon as you get in! There is no seating here, but they have two benches outside (that will likely be occupied if it's busy). They also sell coffee, chocolates, and other foods!“

“Utopia Bagels is definitely one of the best bagel places in New York, and after my visit, I can understand why it's so highly rated.

The bagels were fresh, delicious, and lived up to the hype. But what impressed me even more was the staff. They were always smiling, friendly, and more than happy to help, especially for first-time customers who weren't familiar with the menu. They patiently explained the different options without making us feel rushed.

To be honest, this kind of genuine customer service is becoming harder to find, especially in a busy metropolitan city like New York. It really made the whole experience even better.

“We ordered seven dozen bagels for our homeschool co-op's opening day breakfast, and they were a hit with our crowd of parents and children—fresh, with a crisp exterior and just the right chewiness. Our high schoolers especially loved the texture and commented on how flavorful the bagels were. I even saw some of the high school boys eating them again at lunchtime instead of the pizza we had ordered! Mark coordinated our order and was very responsive and helpful. We'll definitely order from House of Bagels for our next bagel breakfast.“

“I live in the area and attend college out of town so getting to the library on my off days is tough. I've been looking for a place with a chill ambiance, wifi, good tea, and coffee. Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.“

Their salads are made fresh on the spot... they cut everything fresh as they need em... they don't store the lettuce pre cut in tubs like most restaurants do. While I waited for my order, they gave some other people free bagels twhile they waited. You can watch them make the bagels fresh just behind the counter.“

A huge thank you to Mudy, the owner, for his hospitality! Since it was my first time here a French toast muffin made in house was given to me as a courtesy. Which was very kind! The muffin was so moist, had great flavor, the texture of the muffin top was light and crisp as well! This bagel shop has amazing prices!
