“Newtown is a historic, colonial town, and is very quaint and charming. Within, the Mercury Cafe is a gym with delicious comfort food and great coffee. While it’s vegetarian, many of the dishes can be prepared vegan. The BBQ pulled oats sandwich, pastrami panini, grilled cheese and tomato soup were all so good and comforting. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“We really enjoy the Porkette with Broccoli Rabe, long hots, and sharp provolone; it’s absolutely delicious. My husband tried the chicken parm sandwich this time, and it was also fantastic. If we lived nearby, this would be a regular spot for us. I highly recommend it!“

“I Was in town for a Private Event, it was held at Keem's, Christian was manager that evening. My husband and I had a wonderful time, EVERYTHING was amazing, we have been talking about the food all the way back to Virginia! Thank you to the Entire Staff for all your efforts! “We had the Wednesday night prix fixe menu. All was superb including our Market Manhattans w the warm rosemary focaccia! We had the following: crispy duck confit and shrimp toast for starters; bucatini alla gricia and the porcini-rubbed hanger steak cooked to a perfect med-rare; for dessert the chocolate entremet cake and pistachio cake! It was the perfect birthday celebration. Service and food and cocktails were all spot on and amazing!“

“First time ordering from here tonight and we WILL BE BACK… like a lot. We live in pike creek and will make the drive. We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

“It was really good! I LOVE a good Cheese Plate, and I got a Great cheese plate! I also got the Foie Gras Burger. I hadn't had foie gras before, so I thought it was pretty cool that I could try it at a place that wasn't a high-end French restaurant. It was pretty good! I enjoyed all of the food there. The waitstaff was awesome. Really nice atmosphere as well. Would Definitely go again. Kinda want to go now...but it's 7:30am 🤣“

“I turned into a windmill. They sat me
next to a door that was constantly being opened to the outside world and it blasted cold air at me.
They also tried to charge me $29.99 for this “lobster” roll (and I use that term loosely). You can’t in good conscience tell me that this coleslaw concoction is more than 5% lobster. It’s potato chips and coleslaw on a tiny hot dog bread.
The burgers are solid.“

“I LOVE this restaurant. I took my boyfriend for his birthday last night and we loved our meals. I ordered fettuccine alfredo with chicken, and he ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The only thing that would have made it better... is if we were sitting in a garden in Italy. Hands down, the best Italian food I've had in my life. The craft that goes into the home made pasta is amazing. I can't wait to have my leftovers tonight, honestly!“

“I wanted to eat at a local diner that has a counter. I found this place by using Google maps and searched for diner near me. Very charming local restaurant. For the first time I had Scrapple. Great service and atmosphere. I chatted with the locals and explained my trip to Wilmington. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I recommend giving them a try.“

“My wife and I use Sciarrinos pizza pretty often. Having been in the food business for years and she works in food service we feel their food is fresh and deliver is fast. No complaints at all and their drivers are all very pleasant. Will continue to use.

“Terrific food and we were so happy to try it. You can tell great care was taken in preparation too. we ordered two big platters, hit tea called Chai and loved it. Total was below 50 bucks and we are so full. I am not even vegan and would come back in an instant. So many places to eat in the USA but few take great pride in their work. “1st time visiting Carmen's and I have zero regrets/. The food was delicious. The food here has Caribbean Flavors old school Grandmom style. My 11-year old (A World Renowned Pizza Critic) always asks for them when pizza night comes up. We also love their onion rings.
I've also gotten their gyros which are awesome.
My 6 year old (World Renowned Chicken Finger Critic) actually ate all of her meal.

“Most comprehensive menu I’ve ever seen for a diner. Wraps, Panini’s, Italian specialties, seafood, healthy low-calorie options, and cake, pies and pastries. Oh and full breakfast menu too! Very nice young lady name Raiven was my server. And fast service. Simple, clean and very nice on the inside. Would definitely come back again if in the area. I’m a long haul trucker and don’t get out here too much.“
