“Dined in tonight with my family and Rylee served us, she was very quick and efficient! She recommended the rigatoni abruzzi and her signature green tea match martini, which were both phenomenal! Highly recommend coming here and asking for Rylee!“

“Lucked in to finding this place while in town. Small local restaurant, clean and friendly. The mozzarella sticks are freshly cut, battered and deep fried. Best I’ve ever had. The pizza was amazing. Had pepperoni and sausage. Sausage was legit good!“

“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

“I’ve eaten here twice, now. I thought there was no way that what I ordered tonight (quesadillas w/rib eye) could match the Bufalo pizza from two days ago. I was as wrong as I could be. I’m guessing that I will eat here 80 to 100 times this year. It’s THAT good.“

Their pizzas are truly outstanding – I highly recommend the San Danielle for its perfect balance of flavors. If you're looking for something beyond pizza, don't miss the gnocchi with guanciale bacon – it's absolutely divine!Whether you're a pizza enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot with incredible Italian food, Pizzeria Stella is a must-try. The ambiance adds a special touch to the experience, making it a great choice for a casual date night or a fun dinner with friends.“

“Amazing, Delectable, Homey, and great. At dough head you don’t just get pizza, you get a bustling little shop with passionate owners and staff. THIS PLACE WAS BUSYYYY!!! But it didn’t stop the owner from having some fun with us and even offering us some soda for the long wait. There is energy and love in that kitchen. And it does translate to the Pizza. Delicious and one of the bests I’ve had in a while. Dough Head you were worth it!“

“As a big pizza girly who is picky about her crust, she was highly impressed…the sauce alone *no words needed*. Chef Spyro was very welcoming and gave us great service. I really enjoyed the space as well, so clean, so classy, but homey, and the fact thats it’s open for the curious eye when having food made for you, is great. I wish I had taken photos to include, but I doubt a picture can make your taste buds any justice…no words. JUST TRY IT!! Its definitely worth the trip“

“I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. Nice low key , no frills, South Philly Italian pizza parlor vibe with very good food. It beats standing in line at Angelo’s.“

“Some of the best Detroit style pizza you'll find anywhere. Also just some of the best pizza you'll find anywhere. The roni cup and hot honey pizza is outrageous, you absolutely need to get it. Owner and his team know what they're doing, are timely, and are super nice to talk to. 5 stars is a no brainer.Wheelchair accessibility: there's a ramp to get in from the parking lot, no steps.“

“One of the only original real Italian food, and people. I'm part Sicilian. I love it. The other 100% Italian pizza place is Riccardo's in Beverly city, NJ. Highley recommend. If not I will reimburse you. For either place. They definitely need to deliver.Parking: There is about 500 spots to park, and for pick up you can park out front.Kid-friendliness: Bring them all john will make them laugh.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the door, low bumb at the door and plenty room to wheel around.“

“This place is hidden gem. They have a huge menu. I got the chicken parmesan and birria pizza- it blew my expectations away. Chicken parm was honestly better than a lot of local delis. The pricing is very reasonable- probably the most affordable take-out option I’ve found in the neighborhood.“

“Stopped over here last night to get a pizza for the family. I'll admit I drove past this place a hundred times. And I'm glad I finally stopped. The pizza was great. The service was second to none. Very happy I made the decision to finally give it a chance. Don't judge a book by its cover!“

“We had a good time here. Food was awesome. Our server was excellent. The only issue I had was the tipping situation. I was with a party of 6. We normally tip good. But this place takes out 20%. . I don't like a place telling me what to tip. That's not how that works. 80 dollars in a tip. Tipping how much is up to the customers.“

“Overall 5 stars,This is their carnivore pizza without bacon. We also had their white Detroit pizza, I would rate 7/10, room for improvement for the price I think added ricotta would have been an amazing benefit. There is another establishment we usually frequent but I think I just found the best pizza in twp“
“Live love Chucks ? best water ice and custard in South Philly, everything is homemade and fresh and the owners are so sweet. Down to earth place, prices are affordable. Personal favorite ices are the black cherry, pina colada, and strawberry lemonade.“
“There wasn't much room and we were just about to leave, but the waitress Azra immediately accompanied us. We drank Watermelon mint, she did her job quickly and was very friendly. We didn't expect to encounter a Turk. I guess he was the only Turk. Thank you for the nice conversation and the nice drinks. The place was very nice in terms of decoration, there are not many hookah places like this around here. Thanks again to Azra, see you again??“

“I’ve driven past this place a million times and it’s always piqued my curiosity… so I finally tried it out and I’m happy to say that it is now officially on my go-to list for excellent, no frills, takeout pizza. The baked ziti pizza immediately caught my eye and it was fantastic! Who doesn’t love carbs on carbs?!? The super veggie pie with fresh garlic, broccoli, spinach, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and yellow squash was also outstanding and loaded with toppings. Finally, the ultimate judgement is made from the plain cheese pizza; great sauce that was not too sweet, a good cheese to sauce ratio, and a flavorful thin NY style crust. They advertise “quality and authenticity” and quality is definitely what you get in this pizza! Also doesn’t hurt that everyone is super nice and friendly!“

“Great casual option with a large and varied menu that has something for everyone! We kept it simple and shared chips and guac, and each had an entree (quesadilla and burrito). All the food was good, but nothing struck us as a must recommend either. The restaurant has a lot of customers collecting take out and was full on a Friday night, so the servers were kept busy. It took us a little bit to get our order in, but once it was food was fast. It was also 6pm on a Friday though! We loved the decorations and ambiance. It looks like they have limited outside seating as well for nicer weather. It is BYO, and what I wish we realized in advance is if you bring liquor you can mix it into cocktails! I think they even made margaritas for the table next to us with their tequila bottle. Definitely looking to try that next time!“

“While in the area checking out Paesano’s, I could smell this as I crossed the street and decided to take a chance and check it out (especially since Angelo’s line was at least 40 heads deep). I asked the one pizza guy what slice I should try and he suggested the cheesesteak so I was sold. This is a white slice with cheesesteak and I added some crushed red pepper. This is all based on preference mind you. The flavor was good, I’d maybe even say real good. I love a solid white slice. The dough also had a great flavor to it. I do think it needed a few more minutes in the oven though, very doughy. Next time I’ll know to order it well done. No harm no foul. This slice was $4.50 and the flavor and amount of meat (and their location in the Italian Market) makes sense for that price. I’d say Nannie Franco’s Didn’t Suck, but ask them to cook it well done. For the video on this spot as well as content from well over 500 other places, please check my social pages here - https://linktr.ee/Didnt_Suck“

“Seriously the best pizza in South Philadelphia. Delicious! I usually order the Grandma pie, which is always so good. Since it was Valentine’s Day we order the heart shaped original pizza and I think I have a new favorite! The crust was thin, crispy and absolutely delicious. Definitely will be ordering that again! The real star of this order were the “Italian Chicken Wings”!! These were the best wings I have ever eaten in my life!! So tasty, seriously you have to try them!“

“I’ve eaten here at at least a coupledozen times now. The food is always fresh and always consistent. It’s obvious the chef is passionate about his menu and the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen. Trying new restaurants is kind of a hobby and I would rank Speranza‘s right up there with some of Philly‘s better restaurants! If you haven’t tried it yet..stop hesitating…you won’t be disappointed!“

“If you are all about traditional cheesesteaks and pizza... Then you are seriously missing out on two of the best dishes in Philly! The chicken cheesesteak with Indian spices is fantastic! So then I tried the Paneer pizza. That too was an amazing taste experience. The food fusion being done at the place is perfection. An absolute must try and a great introduction to Indian food in a way that is familiar to the less adventurous eaters.“

“It was a Thursday wing night, we sat upstairs because it was so crowded, service was good.Food was great, I was able to have food from the fryer which never happens with a shellfish allergy due to cross contamination of friers.Nadia tots and a bacon burger were great. “Pizza stands are not usually a place I'd take a stop at, but I did and I'm a little picky when it comes to pizza. These guys nailed it for me........at a pizza stand! I tried out two different pizzas, one with jalapenos and ricotta and the other was a cheese steak pizza. Both had a very great flavor profile. The only thing I'd adjust is to add more jalapenos, :) I'll also say that the service was also very good. Definitely a returner for me.“

“We decided to make the drive to try this restaurant on one of their "all you can eat" pasta days. It included the salad bar and a bread basket. The salad bar was fresh, and the staff kept it replenished. The pasta was cooked to order, and there are plenty of sauce options. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.“

“Love Chiquita's al pastor pizza. I also ordered the parmesean garlic chicken tenders which were delicious, however, not sure if it was just a bad batch but it was swimming in oil - suggestion to cut back on the oil cause these tasted fantastic - but having to pour all that oil out of the box wasn't ideal. I will def order them again to try the again, hopefully it was just a fluke!“

“I lived in South Philly for 27 years and spent my teen year summers from 12-19 in North Wildwood. I know a great pizza and cheesesteak from mediocre. Until I went to Femi’s, the best cheesesteaks I ever had were from Russo’s in North Wildwood. The closest I’ve ever come for cheesesteaks is Femi’s in Lester. Their steaks, especially their pizza steaks are fantastic. Every pizza and Stromboli I’ve ever ordered are great too! Can’t find anything better in South Philly.“
